    For anyone using Blender 3.1, the "Curve Parameter" node is now called "Spline Parameter"

  • @baggern
    @baggern Před 2 lety +22

    There is actually a curve endpoints node, so you don't need to copy they entire setup for the flower tops

  • @nodedojo

    For instancing the blossom at the top of the stem use the “end point selection node” attached to the “instance on points” selection socket instead of the color ramp technique shown here. It’s less nodes and way more efficient!

    • @ALLTHEWORKS11
      @ALLTHEWORKS11  Před 11 měsíci

      That's right.."end point selection" is better for putting flower at the end... However I chose the color ramp just in case you want to add flowers at different distances throughout the plant.

    I was trying to do this myself
    I made leaves for trees and a bush so what I ended up with was a very similar node but I didn't know about the stem thing so all the flowers i have so far didn't have a procedural stem
    I'll definitely add what you showed in my project

    Instead of color ramps you should use map range or endpoint selection nodes, it saves on processing power. Small difference but it adds up the more flowers you have.

    • @ronnetgrazer362
      @ronnetgrazer362 Před rokem

      I like the vector curves node for that, because it lets you set the distribution of leaf length and width individually. Processing time is probably just as bad, but not an issue for my application.
