I loved HTC!For me they were first every year since the HTC Leo,hero, legend, the desire hd, one X, one m7, m8, HTC 10, 11,12.I miss them but I also miss LG.
This was the best phone I ever had. I miss it so much! Went to Apple for years after it but now I'm back on android and it's a huge breath of fresh air and nostalgia.
couldn't agree more, it was also so damn robust.. I never used a case and am very clumsy dropping my phone on the regular. Had it for many years and never gave up on me.
I miss HTC flagships... I used the One M9 until the battery couldn't hold a charge anymore. I used that phone so much, that the sharp edge got chamfered because of how much i used it. The rear even has some dull areas where the palm would be. To me, that was the best phone ever made. Camera easily outclassing even the next two generations of phones (modded drivers from XDA). It was so funny when i used to zoom with the 20MP camera and it produced better results than the dedicated 2x zoom camera from a friend's Note 8. Not only that, the performance was incredible. Beat that friend's Note 8 in every possible app, game or emulator. Insanely fast. But after it wasn't usable anymore, i had to buy a new phone. Sadly, there wasn't any HTC phone as intriguing as the M9. Basicaly, i had to pick between the HTC U12+ and the SG Note 9. Even though the U12+ was the cooler phone, the Note 9 was better in pretty much every possible way, and i've wanted a Note since the first one, so i got the Note 9. First impresion was that the UI is garbage, it was so locked down and had such arbitrary restrictions like manual mode only on the main camera (while every HTC ever had manual mode on all cameras, including the front ones), My Files was really shoved down your throat even though there was no point, you couldn't do some stuff i forgot but could do on HTC's UI and many other things. Using the Note 9 was a constant struggle between how good the hardware was and how bad the software was, which was never a problem on HTC, where the software just improved upon the already good hardware, so enhancing the overall experience. When the Note 9 finally became somewhat unusable too (battery issues again) i got the S23 Ultra, because the S24 Ultra is straight garbage.
I actually shut my trunk on this phone completely and it was fine after. It was completely bent in half, but the screen somehow was fine and the phone bent back and worked. A marvel of engineering in my opinion.
One of my favorite phones. Comparing phones just to their competition, the One M8 is arguably the greatest phone ever. At the time, it had the best Android experience besides stock Android. In the hand, the phone felt worth the money. Samsung definitely felt the pressure HTC had them on at the time and made huge improvements in the late 2010s.

I was buying it from my local Best Buy but they sold me the phone without having it in stock so I had to drive almost 2 hours away to another Best Buy to pick it up. I would have driven 24 hours to get this phone. The speakers were loud. The screen was amazing. The build quality was top notch with a headphone jack. It has to be my number one all time favorite phone?
Honestly the best phone I've used so far. In the time I've owned it, I didn't even use a case and the phone held up really well resisting dents, etc. Can't say the same for phones today!
I used to work at tmobile when this came out and I sold a shit ton of these, the most confusing part was telling people about the 4 ultra pixel lens since everyone was used to mega pixels
I still use my HTC One M8 Eye today. The HTC One M8 Eye is doesn't have the line as the regular one does, but the only real practical difference is that the Eye uses a 13 Megapixel camera in place of the 4 ultrapixel camera on the 'regular' M8. I wouldn't mind using an M8-based Unibody HTC phone, it'd much rather it be made of steel and have modern chips and so on and perhaps a higher resolution screen as the M9+ had (only I prefer the M8's unibody) and perhaps to stick on a decent camera 50 MP camera (let's face it, ultra-wide and telephoto are rarely used and rarely useful and maco cameras are close to useless).

I had this one before (the one with Sense UI) and used it for a very long time until the battery dies. The design, thinnest, speakers and camera of this phone was ahead of its time. Though I had to unlock it and install a custom ROM since HTC no longer supports it after Android 6 update, and still able to use it until 2019.

It's still a gem of a design. I hate glass backs. They crack easily. Metal cases also have better heat dissipation.
Exactly. And also it attracts less smudges compared to glass.
One thing in winter though if you live in a cold country like me, metal back phone battery dies out fast in winter

I still can’t get over the fact that there were three different software versions of the same model from a big name manufacturer like HTC.

Loved this thing. Still have it in the box. Kept an otter box case on it. I’d call it perfect.
Both HTC and Blackberry were way ahead of their time, design and softwarewise.
Had the M8 for almost 6 years. Then the U12+ for over 2 years. Loved them both

I've had the HTC incredible S (One of the first phones to feature front facing cam) and later on the One X. Still have them. Loved their design.

I thought the Z Ultra was pinnacle back then. It was definitely one of the better smartphone designs back then.
