I love this type of movies, the more they are real, the successful they are
I thought the same thing, there is always someone running away from something at the beginning of a movie, even some TV shows start out that way. Also, if the characters have a dog or a cat the animal is only there to be killed by someone. This movie was actually pretty good. I lived in my house for 26 years, and it being my first house, I was glad that my neighbors on either side and behind me were friendly. Then one of them was offended that I didn't want them in my backyard several times a day feeding my rabbits, onions and salad, which they didn't eat. All the neighbors turned on me, refusing to speak to me from then on and made my life a misery for the next twenty plus years. My advice, say hello to your neighbors but don't get involved in their lives and tell them nothing about yours.
I hate when they kill the pets. Makes me nervous when I see them.
That's why some of us don't get friendly or try to be friends with neighbors. Once the door open they can become annoying or worse psycho. It's best to mind our business. Even saying hello to some neighbors open the door for them to be all up in one's business.
@@serene1275Exactly! Neighbors need to stay as just that. Stay on their property, and do not make friends with them. One word can open the door to them coming onto your property like they're always welcome. I keep my head down and pretend I don't even see them if they try talking to me.

At first I was like, "why do all these movies start out with someone running from someone else in the woods...here we go again". But this movie was actually good. She was very nosy but it was worth her being nosy, she helps her family.really good movie. Out of 5 spaghetti meatballs, I give it 3 1/2 meatballs ! :)

Lifetime is specifically geared towards women. Men are supporting actors most times rather than the lead in Lifetime movies.
That's because men don't have so vicious minds like women have, they're more direct. So that's why women tend to sense other women's off behavior and men don't.
The girls mom was so nosy and silly to knock on their door at night saying they’ve heard the news about the boys mom husband being dead. 🙄 I wouldn’t just moved away.

The husband irritates me so bad. Everything is no big deal, don’t worry about it, take it easy honey. Jesus, he lives in a box. Women in the other hand are more clever and attentive.

Yep, I can't stand people who do that. He was the one who told his wife not to rush too fast with the new neighbors. Next thing he's the one rushing things and too trusting. Because of hus stupid excuses his daughter was worried about getting the neighbors into trouble.
The writers must have been undecided about which family member would be the culprit. They all acted very inappropriately & strangely. So finally, they flipped a coin and picked one, as the tale was coming to a conclusion....of sorts!

It makes the movie last longer. Most characters in thrillers and horror movies make dumb decisions due to that reason.

Husband always discards everything the wife says. Everything.
Just a movie. Otherwise i do believe there are some idiots out there that don't or refuse to believe in such nonsense, or so they say, but i do believe such things exist. There are some smart people out there, just as there are idiots. But if the husband was smart ane believed his wife, he'd end up dead earlier in the movie or the movie would have ended earlier. Pick and choose. Therefore, the movie was made to drag things out to even be considered a movie and not just a short clip, which it could or should have been.

A little late to answer your questions but here goes: 1: LAZY! I absolutely HATE this manipulative trope and wish to never see another dead family pet, but I'm sure that's asking WAY too much. 2: Lazy again, but lazy at acting/too many sedatives this time? 3: Oh my word, don't know but she wore it for way too long, also what was with the side ponytail? PS: I actually liked the movie but I definitely didn't appreciate the grimly predictable killing of the family pet scene. I recommend fast forwarding that whole part.

Because future serial killers tortured and killed animals. Those two boys especially oldest one were future killers. The oldest definitely a sociopath. The youngest like to hurt his friend even torture her on top of the stairs while almost letting go of her.

The logic of Lifetime movies.... psycho gets pushed down the stairs but is able to get up and walk, nothing even remotely broken. Also, creepy lady picks up neighbor's daughter when not supposed to, and doesn't get in touch with the girl's mom.

If you play the movie backwards the other boy that got killed is the other mom's replacement son. The First Son died after falling down the steps in the neighboro's house; he was escaping his mom's abuse.
