- Perfect Child - Sarah carries the guilt of the drowning death of her step sister. This trauma has left her wary of motherhood and skeptical about relationships. With a successful career as a publicist, she’s recently fallen in love with a successful client who has a young daughter. But soon secrets emerge from their pasts which jeopardize their relationship. Problems occur which appear to be the work of his jealous ex- girlfriend. Finally, alone in a remote location with her young charge, she learns once and for all that his daughter has orchestrated everything to get rid of her and now that it has failed, the perfect child is trying to kill her.

I have watched so many movies with "perfect" in it and I have not been disappointed yet. This one was very good too. Worth a watch.
Narcissists Psychopaths come in all shapes sizes and ages but in this movie the dad helped create the childs behavior by not being realistic in setting boundaries

I tried hard to be a step mum. But, nope, I was just hated from the start and the step daughters mother was very problematic with drugs and alcohol etc. I tried though

For good reasons, a woman should not be going after/on the hunt for a man. Also, stay clear from involvement with someone who is divorced (especially if their spouse is still alive).

The little girl was not strong willed. She just suffered the loss of her mother, twice. She had abandonment issues. No wonder kids are screwed up judging from these movies.

The idea that there are some medications out there which are going to help that child feel guilt and remorse... especially as she doesn't look like she's taking any medication whatsoever (no weight gain, no slurred speech).
Ye , as far as I know nobody came up with magic pill for psychopathy...those ppl just don't have capacity to feel normal emotions, they mimic them often to "blend in", and wont feel remorse in same way cat wont after catching a mouse,,,he might roll down and do trick if that help him score his petting by upset owner ( don't mean obviously cats are same as wicked ppl, but in hunting cats just follow their instincts and can't understand why some of their humans wouldn't like their gifts, but when see human reaction, might try different trick to Please them), this girl might learn in therapy, that its expected from her to feel bad about what she did, so she played the role accordingly, that's all.

If the girl really already killed the former girlfriend, there is something very wrong in her brain. I suppose that nowadays, if a young girl like that gets into a psychiatric hospital, and the staff is any good, they should be able to sort out what happened, in her cognition and behaviour. I'd like to hope that there IS a way to help such very young people that derail.
Murder is, of course, no joke. It's very, very rare for children to conciously murder another person.
The stories about them are explained on CZcams too, with quite horrifying confessions. There you can see how a REAL 12 year old behaves when she's psychotic. I looked at the interview. It's heartbreaking and scary at the same time. Together with a less dominant girlfriend she killed another child. All out of some fantasy-hallucinatoire situation that did not coher with the situation in reality.

nice movie good ending. i dont now if i was staying with the man and his scarry daughter. beiing a stepmother of that scarry kid. brr. they where playing verry well their roles that young girl was great.
He is at least somehow to blame for how his daughter turned out; by spoiling her... It would not be surprising if she'd also orchestrated the break-up between her parents, since she realized that she would be able to manipulate her dad more easily when on his own.

ouch this is a bit close to home ... I met a very special man whose 8 yo daughter was more comfortable with a passing parade of partners. Any lady who got close she sabotaged and doting dad refused to see it. She didn't kill but she sure had a very wilful way ...

The girl who played Lily was excellent. I really despised her character.
Think about it, these movies & dufferent songs can be causing us to act the way we do most of our lives. The new bride met the then boyfriend & she hardly know him & his daughter & had sex with him. Didn't see std's test done or condoms used. Very shortly afer they're married. Things started now to get ugly in nasty frightening ways. Then we get messed up for not taking our time with some persons repeatedly who are really both strangers at the time. And that's the way of the world...

The guy is loaded, there is a lot of tension in the house, ppl don't trust t each other and there are no home security cams in the house? Unlikely in my opinion that Sarah would not know where the ONLY epi pen in the whole house belongs.but yes, sure, everyone rolls differently.

Why would the assistant show up wherever they are? In bed, on a private island...that's some pretty hard creeping! Yet the couple gets married and pregnant fast, and she quickly becomes bitchy wife and husband becomes a woos. It's a whodunnit, but still people make stupid decisions...
This is a movie 1.5hours, dont u know it s all shorten for a- years story? LoL
