I'LL TAKE THE CONCEPT.
How can you say these are the best
I'm surprised Fisher Price wasn't on the list!
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There are quite a few tables out there that are superior to any table on this list. Some in the vintage class, some current.
This guy has literally not the first clue what he's talking about...
How is that, He's reading features from the manufacturer?
Syn-chron-us?
You don’t make sense: he is reading exactly what the turntables are and I agree with this list
If this is his list, he either knows close to nothing about the turntable world or, this is a publicity stunt.
Project Elemental!??????? You've gotta be joking........
Pro-Ject Elemental has no anti-skating!
Opinions are like...you know what. Everybody has one.
Which planet or parallel universe are you in?
You should not make videos about what you are clueless about
I like how he had to sound out "Ortofon" as if it's his first time saying it. What a shit video.
@@apersonthingyLOL
ClearAudio would be the only table worth owning
I know I saw a Linn Sondek LP12 in the opening segment before the program proper started. I know that they are ridiculously priced, but they are really phenomenal. And I agree with others, notwithstanding the Linn, there are other tables out there that would "stomp" these listed.
What is wrong with Music Hall? I have bought one some four years ago, and I am very happy with it, it delivers high quality sound.
Get yourself an old Lenco l75 and re-plinth it, give it a nice tonearm of your choice, good cartridge and it should beat all of these.
What is the best turntable sound ??
All I heard were the P's. The PPPPopuler PPPProjet sounds PPPleasant
the Music Hall MMF9 has the best bang for your buck IMO!
I think the review should have been done on a comparison like for like price point.
I want to get the Rega Planar 1😍
I've just bought a Rega P8 having sold my P1
George Doughly
Entry level
Is this bizzaro world? Clearaudio 4th and p1 better than p3?? Toally flipped
Project Elemental ???????? Which world do you live ? :)
4 mid budget turntables. Wouldn't agree with your selection totally, but all way better than the low budget offerings appearing recently. 👍
clearaudio is going for 1800$, i wouldn't say it's mid budget
7
Maybe you can afford $400-1800 for a TT, but many people including myself can't.
My favorite hobby from the age of just 3 years.
Modern retro🤟
I have a jvc ql-a5 70s turntable running a upgraded cartridge, just had it serviced and i would put it upagainst those turntables anyday
Yeah, I had a JVC QL-A7 in great shape and it couldn't compete with my Clearaudio Concept. The JVC QL series of 'tables are really nice but I gifted mine to a friend who was using a Crosley.
Find a AR/AX cheap..... do some maintenance, cleaning and minor improvements and you can get very much turntable for a good price.
The price would have been nice
Back in the day it was always said that direct drive turntables were the best. It looks like all of these are belt drive. Are they better now?
belt drive turntables have less motor noise for the most part because the motor is further away. a DD turntables that have the motor right under the center of the platter can apparently transfer motor noise/vibration up to the arm. or thats the theory anyway... personally i cant tell the difference. a DD turntable will also (Probably) have more accurate speed especially the old technics that used Quartz lock
Newer direct drive tables tend to be lower quality than they used to be and rarely meet the min standards of the SL-1200 MK2 whereas newer belt drives have some better quality control and it is harder to mess up.
Here’s my top 4...#4 the one u find at the dump-#3 the one u find on the curb-#2 the one your uncle gives u-and #1, the best turntable ever is...almost anything other than a Project Elemental that’s not a suitcase
This seems a bit snobbish- how about doing "The Best 4 AFFORDABLE Turntables of 2018"? Most of us aren't billionaires.
LOL
All 'ergonomically positioned on/off switches' or 'new aluminum pulley's' aside, any high end direct drive from the late 70's will outperform these TT's easily. So, spend you're money wisely if sound is that you're after. Just my humble piece of advise...
Please get a pop filter for your microphone. Cheap and easy upgrade to make you sound a lot better.
Looking at getting a Akai AP 201..do you have any knowledge or advice on this turntable? I'm very very new to the turntable world ! Thanks!
I have - DON'T buy it, it's awful, as are ALL these TTs in this video
@@davybloggs1564 the rega planar 3 is awful?, please explain why?
@@MultiCowboy8 It's not, Davy's just being snotty. Both the traditional Regas and more so the ClearAudio are solid to fine tables. I also dismiss the sculptural paperweight the vid ranked at #1 though
I hear Canadian in your voice
Sin Kronos!
Read like a person who owns none of these turntables. Yawn!
rega 1 is easy to set up and has a nice tonearm and sound but almost all their players suffer from wobbling platters which will sooner or later affect the whole player. Rega knows about the problem but does nothing about it
Prices would of been nice
Well you do have the names and of course there is Google.
His No1 choice looks like something from Walmart.
Michell GyroDec and linn sondek are far more better than all these.
From the four tables mentioned you got the order completely wrong.
Got a Concept MC myself and it is not even close to the the Regas and PJ mentioned.
the best turntable you can buy for mony is McIntosh mt5 or mt10--
Fack off the Project!!!
buy a better mic
Project is probably the worst turntable I ever owned.I guess Rega is no better… I wonder what stoped you from mentioning Roksan or Linn
This is a very bad video... misinformation! Do your homework elsewhere...
Uhhhhh...what???
what?
Well what a complete waste of time that was for everybody.
Total rubbish, you show two different versions of the ‘Rega Planar 3’...what a load of drivel!
No.
Did i just watch this shit??????????
What an ignoramus?
Why are you shouting?
Lot of dust in these pictures.
Ummmm.... No
What a crap! On what parameters your "list of best" is based on???? On the money the manufactures gave you? LOL
bad
Lol. Unimpressive list.
They are really in reverse order. The phenolic platter is garbage, and the Rega 3 platter has no value. You need a turned acrylic platter with the cut out for the record label to allow the record to fit against the acrylic. The last one (#1) is cheap, and well who buys cheap.
People who have low funds.
Elemental? Elemental?? Really? It’s a nice beginner turntable, but please!
This muppet is talking about a Rega Planar 3, yet the turntable shown between 1:13 and 1:19 is not the 2016 Rega Planar 3! And the one he shows between 1:27 and 1:35 is clearly the old discontinued P3. And to rate the Rega Planar 1 as better than the Rega Planar 3 is simply idiotic. Clowns, such as this, should be barred from CZcams.
These are only very expensive turntables for weathly audiophiles. Do something on real world turntables the the masses can afford.
expensive? $400 to $900 expensive! no. $2000 to $30000 turntables are expensive!
This is entry level sunshine.
Yeah, this is kinda the entry level price range to building an audiophile setup. It can be pricey in comparison to other hobbies but compared to other turntables it is a jumping off point. Turntable at the $100-$200 range just simply aren't good enough to make a top turntable list (not that this video is actually accurate though).
Straight arm tonearms are terrible as are belt driven turntables, so I would never purchase anyone of these. The best turntables in my opinion are linear tracking turntables or that ELP laser turntable.
Bruh, you're not serious, right?
