3 refreshing summer GIN drinks in 3 minutes!

- Today we’re making 3 refreshing gin drinks! This is a quick list of a few of my favorites to enjoy on a hot day. Each recipe calls for gin and lemon (and a cocktail cherry), but they’re all quite different from each other. I like using different gins, but your favorite bottle should work for all of them - no need to run out for multiple bottles. Enjoy these in the sun, everybody! Cheers!

Stay cool peeps
A brisk 90 here in Maryland with a humidity of what feels like 700! Stay cool Anders! Cheers!
Hangin’ out here in TX. Yeah, hot.
Sweating like crazy in Florida.🥵
A very comfortable 20c today in Newfoundland, Canada.
I think a video on putting together a portable cocktail tote would be a good video. Like if you get invited to say a bonfire what would be the most essential and versatile alcohol/bitter/liqueur in a compact size.
I love the garnish for the Saturn. Super clever!
Reminder: too many corpse revivers in a row will unrevive the corpse.
The Saturn is an UTTER STANDBY for us. Deeeelish.
When Anders says Cheers, he really cheers up the room 🎉
This reminds me, I needed to hydrate
Wise words
TO THE BAR! ➡️🥃
Ahhh can't go wrong with a Friday upload from Anders to beat the heat. Love the choices here. Cheers!
Happy weekend - cheers!
My wife and I are HUGE fans of yours! By far our most watched cocktail vids. We especially enjoy gin cocktails, and these are three great ones. We enjoy your energy and enthusiasm very much. Thank you so much for putting out such great content.
Love the garnish on the Saturn 👍
oh my god, this is a home run for sure!! these are my family's top 3 gin cocktails, will try the frozen version of the saturn for sure.
Love the concise format of this. Your long and short videos are *both* great. Thanks for being awesome!
real this is perfect for my attention span
Gin definitely makes the best summer cocktails!
My fav is the Basil Smash!
LOVE the Saturn garnish! It totally translates.
I'm in Texas! It's always hot here! This is much needed!
Your recipes are Always timely and inspiring.
Love these! Atm I’m still loving the whisky smash recipe you did, really hits rhe spot on these very hot summer days!
I love Gin and the Summer! This is perf! Thanks Anders!
love gin... i will attempt to make these. thanks again Anders
Frozen Saturn sounds like a treat!
Man you hit the nail on the head with this one! These happen to be my favorite gin drinks (besides dirty martinis.) 2 thumbs up for featuring the Saturn. Cheers!
yeahhhhh gin is the best summer liquor!
a saturn will surely cut through this lakefront humidity ... so sweaty
i am going to say it every time i see it: I LOVE THAT COLLINS GLASS! also, i've never heard of a Saturn, and now i wanna make one. love the little Saturn garnish idea!
your videos are truly underrated anders, keep it up man you deserve the best!
Thanks for the kind words. Cheers
You are the best! Gin is my 2nd favorite spirit, thank you
I’m new to gin so I’m super excited to try these cocktails!!!
Anders...that garnish for the Saturn made the entire video! Very artistic!! These cocktails all look fantastic, but FOR ME, the best gin drink is Sapphire up or rocks with a twist. Can't beat it!! THANKS ANDERS!!!
Just spent two weeks in Kenya, and the drink of the evening (every evening) was the Tom Collins! Thanks for another great vid.
Another great video, Anders.
Love the Saturn garnish
Thanks to your channel we’ve been enjoying the Tom Collins and especially the Corpse Reviver #2. Now gotta try the Saturn.
A Bronx cocktail! It really gets not enough notice and love. Especially if you’re bored with Mimosa, but you do like that drink.
Perfection. Love me a good gin cocktail on a hot summer day. Cheers, Anders!
I don't have absinthe, but I rinse my Corpse Revivers with Galliano. It works well! (Also a great rinse for a daquiri)
I like that move. Cheers
Thank you for reminding me about the Corpse Reviver No 2! I haven't made one in quite a while. Really enjoyed your video on The Pendennis Cocktail. First time for me, another great cocktail.
Its hot here in madison too! Thanks for the recipes Anders!
Thanks so much for your nice video and recipes for cocktails. I'm interested to how you would make the Acapulco cocktail, the Jungle bird cocktail.
Just when I was lingering for an Anders Erickson new video!
It’s winter down here in little NZ. But these all look awesome, love your work ☺️
Heading to a bar called The Gin Joint tonight, what great timing for some gin drink recommendations from Anders!
Had the Saturn for the first time a few weeks ago. Definitely going to try this one.
That Tom Collins glass is sooo good looking.
Saturn is so good. One or two before the sweetness gets a bit offputting though, and it's also amazing as a blended "slushice"-version.
Using an immersion blender for this is genius! I'll try that with a daquiri too!
Hey Anders, have you ever done a video for a Porch Swing? Would love to see your take on it. I had when I drove across country and love it. Would love to get a real good version.
Thanks for all you do!
I love a Saturn, but usually shake it and serve over crushed ice. Eager to try it with the blender.
Going to have to get me some Falernum! The Saturn looks excellent.
These cocktails were nice to learn. It’d be interesting to see a winter follow up to this. I don’t live in Chicago. But I here it’s pretty cold. I don’t know if there are gin cocktails for winter time. But, if there are it’d be interesting to see you touch on the subject. I mean, this is your channel you can ignore this. You do great work.
Just got the Chinola passionfruit liqueur from Curiada, and tried making the Saturn a bit differently. I did 1.5 oz gin, .5 oz of Chinola Passionfruit Liqueur, .25 oz Falernum, .25 oz orgeat, .5 oz lemon juice; served up in a chilled glass. Highly recommend the Chinola! It's wonderful.
I love an Empress Collins, which simply substitutes Empress Gin. Such a bright and lovely flavor!
Hi Anders! I absolutely love your videos! You're so inspiring as a creator, and I've loved every video you've put out. I'd love to see a video on brandy. There's a lot of interesting vocabulary behind brandy (VS, VSOP, Cognac, Armagnac), and I'd love to learn more!
I make my wife a Rosemary Gin Gimlet. I make simple syrup with rosemary in it when I boil it and then keep a sprig of rosemary in the jar I store the syrup in.
That sounds pretty good to me. Cheers!
I recently made the Saturn with Empress indigo and was a present suprise of a drink. Frozen seems like an amazing idea. I tried the wrong corpse reviver, so I'm told. I will give the #2 a shot now that I have Cochi. Stay cool, guys! 😎 🍻
Immersion blending frozen drinks is a life changing idea.
Tom Collins. My gateway to gin ❤
I will have to pick up a bottle of falernum and try it out. My favorite gin cocktail is a Ford cocktail.
Cool garnish!
Love your channel! Where did you get the glass you serve the Tom Collins in? I love it!
Oh, Martin Millers! My favourite.
I will make one of these tomorrow.
Stupidly hot in London too. I know the 28C doesn't sound like a lot to some but they should try to come over here and try to exist 😰
I love that there is orgeat, passionfruit syrup and falernum in a Saturn. I will most certainly be trying that one. Just need to buy some passionfruit pulp or a store bought passionfruit syrup if I have trouble finding pulp. Cheers!
I appreciate this channel.
I never had a saturn with that much ice, or that crushed at least. I either use pebble ice or some lightly crushed cubes in a Lewis bag. Now I'll have to try a frozen version like that.
It's my favorite summer drink, it's like what lemonade wants to be when it grows up.
That frozen saturn sounds like a treat
Great vid!
This is masterclass.
I love this selection Anders. I need to try the frozen Saturn. I tend to make my Saturns in a slightly different way to the classic, omitting the lemon juice entirely, and using passion fruit pure instead of passion syrup. Enjoy your weekend
I'll have to give that a try. Thanks David. Cheers!
Solid video my friend. Cheers.
Hi Anders …What better way to battle the unrelenting heat and humidity in New York than with a TOM COLLINS!🍹🍹….love the narrative behind each drink!….Have a wonderful weekend, stay cool, and CHEERS!😁😁👌👌
Great! I ordered falernum. (I could go get it. But Toronto traffic tells me to ship it to my work) will be making a Saturn shortly, never had it before! Thanks!
I was recently gifted a gun from Seville Spain (puerto de indias gin). It’s been my drink all weekend long with some tonic. Will try these recipes
Hmm I normally serve my Saturn up I might need to try it blended!
Yes more gin drinks!
Scofflaw Old Tom!!! The first time I went to Scofflaw, I was blown away by their Tom Collins and from then on, I was hooked on their Old Tim Gin.
Such a good gin. Cheers
I love Gin, I'd probably not ever have the stuff for the last one. The others however I can and will do. Actually I love the first one.
The Saturn is an all time favorite. Works great on rocks or even in a coupe (though it is very rich in that format).
Gin, gin, gin! Ginny, ginny, gin-yum!
The "Cheers" at 1:03 proves you are a showman, with a delightful sense of humor and stunningly beautiful green eyes. Thanks for the suggestions - I hope these libations are helping you and yours stay cool...
Anders, have you tried the gin basil smash? It’s one of my favorites and I make it whenever the weather’s good, please cover it on the channel! I’ll be making a Tom Collins today as well, cheers from Sweden 🇸🇪
Love it! Can you give us your take on the bennet?
Wow, short and sweet today. Still struggling with the AC messing up the audio? Your garnish for the Saturn cocktail cracked me up, very creative! The Tom Collins was a hit at a recent party we hosted, but for today I think I'll go for the Corpse Reviver with a couple of modifications, i.e. Cointreau for Triple Sec, and Lillet Blanc. Gotta use what you have! Cheers!
Love a Saturn!! Definitely not for any biased reasons....
Now that’s a nice Collins glass
Tom Colins is one of my favorite drinks [thank you Anders for letting me know how to make it!!]. That being said, a week ago a went to Dominican Republic for vacation to one of my favorite resorts. To my surprise, the bartender knew how to make it, but inadvertly and sadly, he called it Ton Colon, which is exactly how it tasted... Anyway, warmest cheers from your Chitown pal ;)
Love a good Saturn! I can’t seem to find Falernum around anywhere!
I LOVE that glass you used for the Tom Collins. Assuming it is vintage but if not, where is it from?
Anders best show.
I'm definitely ordering a corpse reviver number two next time I go to my local cocktail bar. My favorite gin drink is the white lady though. It's dry while still satisfying my cocktail golden age sweet tooth and tastes like a creamsicle. Much love Anders.
Bought Falernum from a local producer in Jacksonville a while back and never opened it. This should provide motivation to do so.
So lovely and what a great way to cool down, Anders!! These are all fabulous ideas and talk about delicious cocktails!! I love all of these so much. Vancouver is much warmer than usual and a nice refreshing drink to sit back with and sip is so enjoyable!! Thanks so much!! Awesome video! Have a terrific weekend!! Stay cool!! 🙂
Cheers, Christine! Hope you’re enjoying the weekend!
@@AndersErickson I am! Thank you so much! 🙂
Great choices! Another good refreshing gin drink on a hot day is a southside. I think I will make saturns this weekend. I love falernum, anything I've had with it just teleports the mind to a sunny beach.
Thought about adding the Southside - good call. Cheers
You kept us in suspense this afternoon... when is Ander's going to drop the next video?? It was worth the wait. Can't wait to try The Saturn!!
I was too hot to move quickly - appreciate the patience!
Hi Anders, atm i am not drinking alcohol but i do loove cocktails en talking about cocktails. I was thinking: classic gin cocktails and subbing the gin for a juniper forward non alcoholic gin. I think a drop of bitters or a rinse of absinth should still be possible.
Dig the styling of the Collins glass…atomic bowling alley vibe
Saturn is victorious!
Just made some Saturns yesterday! However I did the passionfruit & orgeat in inverted quantities (Smuggler's Cove specs), but did it flash blended, not frozen. I think the flavours are present enough to try it blended, though, using some Xantham, as Tropical Standard is showing me.
i like the idea of the immersion blender for the Saturn. Lots of times I pass on blended drinks because I don't want to get the blender out. So lazy.
I'm lazy too - exactly why I use it.
I LOVE GIN. That's my comment. Will I be making each of these cocktails? Uh, yes.
Hey Anders! Thank you for all your recipes and thoughts about cocktails, truly inspiring!
You’ve talked about how to store vermouth once opened, how about Falernum and other liqueurs, like crème de cassis? If they are like low proof, 11-20%. How long can you store it and where do you store it? I mean, it takes a couple of months/years to consume a 700ml bottle of crème de mure, even if it’s tasty 😅
Where did you get your Collins and Coupe glasses? I really like them.
That Saturn garnish, tho…! 💖
