The little things are actually pretty neat, they can process information faster than most other animals, even humans, and offer an absurd amount of memory unseen in most invertebrates. They do have many distributed ganglia as well, but they are only used for movement and can't really process anything, simply applying "muscle memory" to external stimuli until the body runs out of energy and finally stops moving, so without the primary brain they are effectively dead.

    • @amaureaLua
      @amaureaLua Před 3 lety +8

      @@justinvarghese6852 You're wrong. Unlike us vertebrates, insects don't have almost all of their nervous system concentrated in their head. The largest group of neurons is there, and takes care of sight, smell, navigation etc., but they have other large clusters of neurons other places in their body, and these are responsible for many other parts of the behavior. An insect without a head can do much more complicated behavior than a vertebrate without one (which can just twitch a bit for a short while). They can stand, react to touch, move and lay eggs. And they continue to do so until they die from thirst due to not being able to drink. This can be as much as a week later, unless something comes along and eats them (which will probably happen first).

      Female horse flies need blood, we're just a walking buffet. The wasps don't care about us humans until we get too close to their nest and disturb it. You have to admire the design of the wasp/hornet, those bright colors very clear warning signal. Once you've encountered one it's burned into your subconscious, like with most animals that come across them(and they aren't predators). I had a cat many years ago, when she was young she came across a wasp on the ground. She was hitting it and then it happened. She ran off like no tomorrow and ever after that she avoided wasps.

    EDIT ONCE AGAIN: My bad, people didn't get into a fight over my joke. You know this is fun, updating every once in a while. I never leave comments so this is kinda exciting.....Nothing really happens in my life so this will sadly be a highlight hahah.
    EDIT: Saw a lady with a dog today. The second the dog spotted me it tried to attack me. Good thing the owner was there and ready to stop it. Most awkward thing to happen in atleast a year. Cause in Sweden we don't interact with anyone...
    EDIT: I was thinking.. is the owner of this channel still active? and how many channels out there have been created by people who later on died... weird to think about. On a lighter note It seems like summer is on the horizon here in Sweden. 89% of the Swedish summer is usually rain...we've had som decent summers the last couple of years with only 33% rain so I'm glad. Hopefully this one will be just as good the summer of 2020.....I mean It was a good summer for me even if sh#t went down. But to everyone reading this, stay safe.
    EDIT: It's been awhile and I kinda forgot about this. I'm 21 now, got a job and my license! My mental state is really good and I feel like I found my place in life. Working on an animated show and other stuff that I've been wanting to do for years. Depression didn't win hahah!
    EDIT: for anyone wondering my show is only in a storyboard format cause it's a solo project and it turns out that animating stuff as a one man team is simply going to take to much time. The show is called ADAM and CARL and I did come up with the characters before I knew what rick and morty was. It's kinda similar but differet. you'll just have to watch it and see for yourself czcams.com/video/6kWD9yJFZSI/video.html&ab_channel=ADAMandCARL
    Enjoy my amazing voice acting
    EDIT: It is now the 4th of april 2023 and I am still working on my solo project. It is almost done and I will post the full season of ADAM and CARL as soon as possible. Something about my personal life tho. I started hearing a ringing or preassure sound in my ear and panicked. After seeing a doctor it turns out I had earwax that had pushed in my eardrum. After they removed all the wax the ringing/preassure sound has slowly gone away. It's still here but not as loud. and it seems to be fading. and it says the problem will resolve it self in a couple of weeks. but if it doesn't I'll survive. at the same time as this problem was happeining I had a preassure in my head. My first thought was.."Hummm probably cancer" and I could see myself in a casket. But turns out it was only a headache I've gotten from burning myself out at work. I took a couple of days of and stopped working out for two weeks. after that the preassure in my had is like 98% gone. This made me think of all the horrible fates other people had to face. and how Alot of people die from cancer and know that they are dying. I think I found a new appreciation for life even tho I was never dying. I read that the cure for cancer is just around the corner and I hope that it's true.
    On a lighter note...I've been working nonstop since june 16th 2022. and I'm finally gonna get my well deserved vacation. after working everyday except for 5 days. For 2 days I was sick. for 1 day I had to do somthing that took all day to get my drivers license (I got it in the end) and I took 2 days off to relax. So In total I've been working for over 9 moths and I've only been gone for 5 days. I'd say that's alright. I know people work hard for years without breaks and I tip my hat for them. But my energy goes down quickly. I have autism and it makes it difficult to be around people. As a result I can only work part time (50%) I wish I could work atleast 75% but saldy I can't. maybe one day. But I'm still happy that I have a job and my bosses and everyone else that works there are really nice. I'd say life is going good now. I know life is going to be hard and won't be good all the time but that's okay I've survived hard times and I made it to the other side. The scary part about making it to the other side is when you look behinde you and witness everyone that didn't make it. But that's another reason I keep fighting. I fight and live for the fallen ones.
    On a lighter note yet again! I might be moving out this year. Yes I work part time and I don't make that much money. But I've been saving up since november 2022. And if I'm lucky I might just be able to move out from my parents house. And I'm finally getting back to working out and I can now lift harder and than I could 2 months ago. I'll make sure to update you guys in a couple of month when I'm on my vacation which should be sometime in early july. Thanks for reading (: (!WARNING! Might be some spelling errors)
    UPDATE: A little quick update before my vacation starts! The solo project I've been working on is done and will be released on july 11th. I'll link it here if i remember..which I will. • @misterbearmore4633
      @misterbearmore4633 Před 3 lety +7

      Alas, the soldiers of the Antite army are clever, as well as many. The killing of the Flyic general will be seen as a declaration of war against the Flyic army. But the Flyic army is littered with low-tier fodder, even though the Waspian army could face some challenges from the infamous Horse Fly division, to where the slain Flyic general hails from. However, the Waspian soldier may have to worry about a much bigger threat: the Hornetian army. A common enemy to many, even the influential Beetite army must be on the look out for Hornetian soldiers on the prowl, for only a few Hornetian soldiers are capable of taking down an entire Beetite base if they implement a good strategy. Thankfully, the Waspian army and the Hornetian army are neutral with each other, so the Waspian soldier should be able to reason with its Hornetian kin in case things go awry.

    For anyone wondering why the fly was still alive even after being decapitated: Insects (obviously) do not function like humans and have groups of nerve clusters located through their entire body, with the main nervous system centre located in their thorax/middle section of their body, and not their heads. Each nerve cluster functions on its own, and insects could thrive without heads if only they didn't die to hunger or thirst first. This occurs in most if not all insects, including flies like you saw here, wasps, cockroaches and more.
