Words can't describe my severe hatred of horseflies. The other day, I saw one flying against a window and I managed to grab it with an old shirt. I had it to where it couldn't get away and I looked at it dead in the eye. I wanted to be the very last thing it saw before I slowly popped it like a zit. It was so satisfying.

Saw this on my window last night. Large flies are not rare here since we live in a field area. I even saw a large housefly, it was larger than the average housefly, it's eyes were black. I even saw a large mosquito, it was light brown and it's eyes were red but kinda turns blue when light hits the eye, it was definitely a mosquito not a cranefly.
When I first saw this type of a fly I thought they are blind houseflies because they touch their sorroundings like if they are blind. But when I knew more about this fly I realized its much worse than a housefly cuz they bite, their bites are also painful, got bit by it before. But just like mosquitoes only females bite, the males only eat fruit juices and nectar and droplets on plants after rain.
Last year an orbweaver spider somehow got into my house and set up shop in the kitchen window so I named her Charlotte. I kept my doors open a let flys come in to feed her like the nerd I am. A horse fly like this one flew in so I swatted it with my hat grabbed a tweezers and threw it in for Charlotte. I filmed it and the music from the movie pearl was playing in the background while she came down wrapt it up and fed off that bug for a full day. Charlotte doubled in size after that meal. I have a new spider in the window this year but I need a new name any suggestions?
Cool, it's kind of rare to find males as they don't bite like the females do. It's a male because the eyes are close together while the females have a gap in-between the eyes.
It says on Google that if their eyes are almost touching then it's a male and if the eyes are apart then it's a female. Are you sure male horseflies don't bite though? I'm deathly afraid of getting bit.
@@skeletor325 there may be one or two species that don't reflect this distinction, but in literally 99% of cases, yes, males don't/can't bite. Its because the female uses blood as a egg producing energy source. Many of these are also pollinators
@@skeletor325 oh man, we have a lot of horseflies in finland when it's summer. The largest ones are huge and colored like a wasp but you can easily tell them apart from a distance just by their huge shiny eyes and fly shaped body. Good thing is that you can just slap one mid flight with a sandal or a hat etc. and it will fall to the ground stunned an you can go in for the kill. Bigger they are, harder they fall. There's no reason to be afraid tho, it's just more of a massive annoyance. I wouldn't mind if they disappeared. It makes you go nuts when a smaller one drones around your head for half an hour when walking and you just have to wait for it to sit so you can end that fuckers reign of terror.
Horse flies bites hurt like a bitch and even lay eggs sometimes but i tried to kill one today and hit him with a fly swatter but didnt die it was on his back buzzibg tryibg to get up and instead of ending it i remembered what God said wich is to care for his creations because you dobt have any right to destroy it so flicked it with a stick and it flew away just remember that even if anyone judges you for helping out an aninal like a spider or whatever remember that they dobt judge you in the end God does so be good😊❤❤
