    thank you so much! I just started my doctoral thesis in bioinformatics and would be lost without you. Thank you for putting these topics into words that someone without that much background information could follow you without any problems

    thank you so much for this, I have been trying to understand this for a few days and this is a perfect explanation! Very helpful, thank you! :)

    I never understood the difference between a contig and a scaffold, but this video really helped. Thanks Xplore Bio

    Thank you for the wonderful explanation! It's simple and easy to understand!

    Thank you very much, though it would have been very helpful if you would have defined the exact difference between 'unitig' and 'contig' too in a visual manner among other things in your video. Many thanks!

    Great teaching🎉🎉🎉.. Can you upload a video on how to align whole genomes with 16s rRNA and then trim for tree construction and NCBI deposition.

    When you illustrate the fragmented genomic DNA library , are the contigs single stranded or double stranded? Thanks for the clarification!

    • @XploreBio
      @XploreBio  Před 2 lety +2

      library is ds DNA. when you sequence you get sequence of one strand only. if its paired end sequencing you get sequence of other strand but its always aligned as a single strand contig or scaffold. even when you download any sequence of a gene, mRNA etc its single stranded only. You can make its complimentary when needed.
