- The OG M1 Abrams might just be the most satisfying Abrams to play, in my opinion. The platform and BR are just such a great matchup.

US 10.0 has been a sweetspot for me lately, you get this, m1128, lav ad, little bird/ah1f, and either the thunderchief, harrier, or a10, and you have a BANGER lineup that avoids pantsirs
hey, quick tip if you read this: if you use the airstrike ability, you can press middle mouse button (by default key bind) and that will make you switch from aiming from the map to aiming in third person. While using this, your sight will be very high (higher than binocular view), and you can use this to peak early with information. I have used this to look over walls and hills, and sometimes the occasional tree.
As soon as you got ammoracked in the last game I was like: I cant wait for his reaction when he tries shooting with nothing
Imo the first Abrams is the learning curve on what's about to come down the tree. If you did great and adjusted with the play style rather quickly then you wouldn't have any problems down the line, just adjusting to the enemy tanks and vehicles plus their pluses and weaknesses.

It has the worst ammo of all the MBT's at 10.3 its equivalent to most other nation's 8.0-8.7 tank's APFSDS. Not to mention its not historically accurate it only used M774 for its first two years before it even went into full production. Most of the M1 Abrams life it used M833 and M900A1

Abrams have paper thin armor in Warthunder but it's so responsive and mobile that I wreck shop against Russia,I have the M1 AIM in my line up but I prefer to use the M1A1 even at 11.0 and up and keep the AIM as my secondary........ Abrams is the goat

Your gameplay never disappoints!
Closer to 6 second reload because you have to ace/expert crew it to get to the 5.2-5.0s reload.
Personally still use it because it pens the same weak spots for every top tier and it’s fast as shit so flanks are easy.

The M1 does need a better round though. I think it’s stupid how Russian and German tanks have 410 and 457 at this BR, but Gajiin is like uhhhh no America you can’t be realistic and gives it this dogshit round.
I think the round is fine when you consider the outright mobility of especially the M1 Abrams. And the reload. If it got a better shell I wouldn't be mad though, but also wouldn't be surprised if it went up in BR by .3

@@ryanberry_ I mean, I've kept up with Abrams in a Leo 2A4, which has considerably more pen.
I don't think a better round will break the Abrams at all. It'll just bring its gun up to an average level.
@@bluntcabbage6042f you go by real life then Leo 2A4 also not using Dm23 in real life ,it's most using Dm33/Dm43 so only russian have close to top tree realistic ammo using.

Great video but i have to ask why you had to turn your turret when you got shot in the ammo near the end ?
I believe it prevents the fire from spreading and killing the crew, in War Thunder.
The fire will spread to the engine if you don’t

Needs better ammo I think, stinks to fight better soviet tanks with better ammo, trolly era and Stalinium volumetric armor, and also, why do soviet tanks get their important mods earlier? Like thermals?

The Western Tanks in Warthunder are the old variant 1980s-1990s while the Russian Tree gets the T80BVM also other top tier ground vehicles for the Russian Tree where the Upgraded ones from 2000s Era of technology while the Western countries stay stuck in 1990s tanks in Warthunder and the M1A2 Sep Abrams in warthunder is just the same Abrams with just ERA Gaijin didn't add the depleted uranium armor to the hull of the M1A2 Sep Abrams and most western tanks in Warthunder just gets a bunch of reskin top tier tanks while Gaijin Gives Russian Tree better Weapons while still making Western Tanks stay outdated.
So it's basically Russian Bias 98%

@@ryanberry_ Depends on what you had next to the floor. Usually reserved for smoke. To be honest, every time I have gotten ammo racked in an Abrams I only have the round in the breach. I think I only take 26 rounds tho, which is full turret 1 in the pipe.

The stock grind for this at 10.3 has been difficult for me using the M735, especially if I can't get on a flank
I had to individually shoot each one of a leopards crew because there wasn’t any shrapnel using that shell

I would say yes. The mobility and gun handling are the main draw to it. The round is lower end, but again just use the mobility to your advantage.
