Shinedown has been a rock force for over 20 years.
These guys are so humble, so genuine, so fan friendly. Most of their songs have a message of hope in the lyrics. They are big on mental health and addiction and very transparent about their past. Daylight is another beautiful song with powerful message.
Just subscribed Shinedown is my favorite band. All their songs have deep meaning. Singer is Brent Smith, they hold the record for the most number 1s & top 10s on the rock charts. Their new video is A Symptom of Being Human” climbing the charts fast. This song will move you. I’m seeing them 10/3 3rd time this year. ❤

I really felt this one. It is a dark song but a good one. As others said its a dark raw song but a good one. We all have monsters. Some hide them better than others. I'm glad you liked it, mia. Great reacton.

Everybody has their own kind of monsters to deal with. Some just kind it better than the others. I love the video, especially since it deals with some deep subject matter.

For someone new to shinedown I would suggest the songs Sound of Madness, Planet Zero, A Symptom of Being Human, Cut the Cord, State of my Head, Devil, Dead Don't Die, The Crow & the Butterfly, Enemies, Simple Man (Cover), Breaking Inside, Diamond Eyes, and Saints of Violence and Innuendo, and Call Me.
Brent Smith is a vocal God. I would suggest Follow Me Down and Second Chance. Also Brent did a feature with Apocalyptica called Not Strong Enough ❤😊
Shinedown is lead singer Brent Smith, guitarist Zach Myers, bassist Eric Bass and drummer Barry Kerch. They have amazing songs. I've met them before while shooting photos of their shows (I'm a photographer for a radio station)... super cool guys. Worth diving into their songs.

This is the same singer from the live version of 45 you did. He lost weight and got sober although his monsters are drugs and alcohol which he lives with daily.

They remind me of Metallica. And the Message is on POINT!! When someone is suffering with some sort of mental illness it IS real. Even though some people just say get over it.
Merely my opinion, but this one isn’t even in their top 5 and they have a LOT of good songs.
They've been rocking out like this for 22 years. Every song they've written is at least good, but most of them are phenomenal. This is the kind of music that needs to replace the self destructive demonic rap that is taking over the minds of this country. Introduce your own friends to songs like this and show them there is a whole world of good, positive music out there.
This song is about PTSD. It hits us all from war,car crashes ,sexual abuse and chronic depression, even from domestic violence. All those monsters are real.
