    • @winterbas8927
      @winterbas8927 Před 25 dny

      Someone can hold a degree and a good job but still be a biggot. Democracy certainly does not 'need' educated voters. I get what you're trying to say, that the choice of the voters would be better if they were educated. However this is a fallacy. Educated or not, voters are not altruistic, they primarily vote based on self interest and group identity. The UK is one of the most literate nations in the world with a high proportion of degree holders, yet look at the main parties we vote in time and time again. The UK in fact has exactly the same issues as India but to a lesser extent because it is a mature democracy with strong independent checks and balances; law and order, and media which at least on a national level is diverse enough to offer opposing views. This makes it difficult for an extreme nationalist party to come into power. And even then, the Conservatives get away with a hell of a lot and Labour want to copy them. The UK also (violently) settled it's core internal factional/religious disputes centuries ago, (with the exception of Ireland which simmered until a few decades ago). The UK after Queen Elizabeth the 1st then used it's large poor male population for external conquests and the nation united around empire building. Slowly becoming a rich and mature democracy. This took centuries and required a lot of killing, just not at home. The biggest problem India actually has is that it's Judiciary and Law and Order systems as well as Media are not quite up to the task of holding the Government to account to ensure a pluralist government to the standards of the West. For all it's progress that is understandable, as it is a huge, and in fact still a young and relatively poor nation per head of capita. A 'good' democracy is very difficult to maintain, let alone imbed in the short space of 80 odd years for a large diverse population. An educated populace may help a little towards that but is not the singular or even main contributory factor. The biggest factors are time, and sadly, for sufficient violence to take place for the dominant group to start getting repulsed by it, or for the minority group to diminish in some way to no longer be perceived as a threat.. Look deep enough and you will find a combination of these to be true for most Western democracies.

      @winterbas8927 Our western democracies do not allow for a plurality of views, I think you might have some rose tinted glasses there. We're given an "acceptable" window between free market neo liberalism and free market neo conservatism, foreign policy is unanimous - no one is allowed to differ from the "party line" on Ukraine, Taiwan, etc. All the papers supported both Iraq wars, Syria, Lybia, and Afganistan. All of those wars we are and were in the wrong for joining/starting. Our democracies are disintergrating, the far right are set to take over across the EU and hold the EU parliament and Trump is set to win the US presidency. You really feel so triumphant about "mature western democracies". I'm not a Modi fan at all, but don't belive we in the west can lecture anyone on democracy anymore

    • @MrPeaceGuy54

      The majority can be happy with delusions. The Uttarakhand UCC gives a good indication of how the laws will not exactly be fair. The strange restrictions on live-in relationships, the exclusion of the STs, the lack of mention of the Hindu Undivided Family-they are all symptoms of a deadly disease. And I haven't even mentioned the environment in which the UCC was brought (little dialogue, shopkeepers of a particular community being asked to leave, a mosque being demolished in spite of the cour not reaching a final decision). I agree that the INC should not have engaged in unnecessary appeasement. After Pandit Nehru (it was vital to create a sense of security and unity during his era due to the fresh scars of the partition), they should have moved towards strengthening reforms. After all, both Pandit Nehru and Dr Ambedkar wanted a UCC, which is why it is present in the Directive Principles. The INC's manifesto has suggested that they will work to usher in positive changes. The ideology of Mr Savarkar that led to the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi cannot take this Republic to the future it deserves. Transformation comes through meaningful dialogue, not from comparing a large number of people of your own country with "infiltrators".
      I hope that love and peace will triumph!🙏🇮🇳☮️☮️

    The country's economy has doubled from 2Trillion$ in 2014 to 3.75Trillion$ in 2024 with GDP per capita from 1560$ from 2014 to 2700$ in 2024. The last 10 years focused on infrastructure both digital and physical i.e. providing internet, UPI (digital payments), bank accounts for the poor, water connections, almost 100% electrification going to the remotest of villages. Funny how doing good for the people is considered to be fascist and undemocratic

    Does this lady keep saying “Take over of Judiciary by Hindu Right wing”? Just how is she saying this? Based on what? How do u substantiate what she said? This video is total propaganda B.S. where two anti-India people talk about things they have no idea of. Then can I say till now the judiciary was taken over by Left wing? Judiciary functions based on written law with no room for discretion. Law is Law.
    With so many anti-BJP decisions, the court is still Right wing? India judges appoint judges with no role of legislature or executive. So what weed is she high on?
    Judgements of courts are based on facts and rational captured in its judgment and is preserved, and is equivalent to the law of the land.
    Is she aware of “contempt of court”.

      Exactly 💯 correct, it was judiciary which said 'murder of democracy' and took action after the voter fraud in chandigarh mayor election. As Salvatore Babones said "Most of Indian Intellectuals are anti-india".

      In the country of 1.4 Billions and and FYI the violence happens from both the parties ( Hindus and Muslims) there are also Christian, Jain and Zoroastrians, Jews and other minorities which are living in peace and prosperity. You are sounding as if it’s one sided violence but it’s not. Even majority of Muslims are living peacefully. You don’t know the situation you are making judgments and blanket statements based on image created by biased media. Like any other country India is not perfect but western and Islamist portrayal of India is dishonest and extremely biased.
