I'd have to assume that some of those who could be considered to have been the worst affected would be those murdered by nut jobs radicalized by his propaganda networks...
In which case leaving him alive would be very generous as it is.
He should rot in prison, imo, and his lackeys and goons should be reeducated before they are allowed back into society.

@@ahdkaw I doubt that's going to happen. Because you think of Johnson, but he's not all that relevant. Unlike Trump who has a major influence over the ideology of Rs in the US, but he's just one man, Johnson is merely one among many potential leaders for that ideology in the UK. It's like a hydra, you cut off one head, 2 others grow. Even removing Johnson, the UK will still have to contend with the ideology that propelled him to the top and as far as I can see, that ideology is still going strong enough. As an Australian, I have begun to recognise my country again. The last 30 years and the last 10 years particularly were dominated by Murdoch and his propaganda the Australian people suffered through the worst natural disasters in its entire colonial history and extreme income inequality with lack of access to, and affordability of, housing in particular. And we responded sensibly by voting right-wing Murdoch-backed nutters out.

Yes, we can feel the difference already. And what a talented cabinet. There is also the advance of the Greens and the TEAL candidates who have eroded a road bloke in the Liberal Party. You can feel that the Covid period has forced people to focus more on their own futures and less on personalities. Its also refreshing to get away from identity politics and concentrate on the big issues: wages, climate change, energy security, aged care, health, women's rights, a republic and proper recognition of indigenous Australians.

@@redgree1645 Murdoch has always been a servant of corporatist America. He was instrumental in the coup that removed Gough Whitlam, the most progressive political leader Australia ever had, providing the soundtrack to the phoney loans scandal and the vilification of Jim Cairns, Gough and Rex Connor. His assault was relentless as he provided a vehicle for the shady Khemlani. That provided the excuse for the blocking of supply and the political destruction of Gough. I don't see it as a comparison to the situation in the UK. The new Aussie PM doesn't seem to be embarrassed by his past as a socialist, is on record as a republican. Meanwhile Starmer's spent more time attacking the left in his own party, and lied about the pledges, and abstained on some of the Tories most harmful bills.

Here in America, through his media outlets, but mainly Fox News, Rupert Murdoch has further the division between Republicans and Democrats to the point where they can’t even agree on the facts and see each other, not a foreign country like Russia or China or a terrorist organization like ISIS, as the greatest threat to the country. I’m very pessimistic about the political environment and think it’s likely America will no longer be democracy a decade from now. America should have been the one to never allow Rupert Murdoch to own media outlets here. Fuck him. 🖕
