There is an interview with her somewhere on CZcams where she tells the story of how it happened. The face she pulls when she explains that someone called her to be in the song and videoclip singing the main lyrics of a Eurodance-act song, and she said "Are you sure you have the correct number?" :P (Also interesting to know that she had not been the first choice when it came to the artist, and that the KLF came to her was merely because their first artist of choice refused the request, but can't remember who it was).

Bobby Tate Hi, my friend, I just had to comment upon your own comment. I recall this song from the 1990's, but never before saw the video until today (I tend to procrastinate, lol). But I was struck by the fusion and mix of styles as well, and when you made mention of Jesus Christ, take note of the wicker man burning at 1:18. I was immediately reminded of the 1973 "Wicker Man" film wherein Edward Woodward screams out, "Oh, Jesus Christ!" Hope this tiny tid-bit adds to the fun of this clip!

And a big middle finger to the big 5 giant record companies. Thanks to the internet, and eventual dying of music as they foretold...Who's laughing now. God bless Tammy.

I imagine going up to one of the genre's most successful artists and saying, "The lyrics are: 'they're justified, and they're ancient, and they drive an ice cream van'".

This song has been stuck in my head for weeks. Loved it when it came out. It was a "guilty pleasure" at 11 years old. It still.is at 43. 😂 Tammy Wynette was an excellent addition to this song.

Kudos to Tammy who didn't just stick with country style. This still sounds great all these years later, so do the other KLF tracks. I'm in my 40s and recently found out my uncle who is 64 is a KLF fan, that was kind of cool.

Tammy was a country queen imagine my surprise to see her lying it down with KLF. What a way to use that beautiful voice. They all killed it !
