It's utterly ridiculous how good this still sounds in 2021. The KLF are unbelievably underrated and talented. Ahead of their time and everybody else in so many different ways.
I wouldn't say they were underated they were the biggest selling singles act in Europe for an 18 month period and they won a Brit award then they threw it all away including the money for arts sake?

My guess is that many in the „entertainment industry“ never forgave KLF that they showed the vacuousness of much that is going on around music and „stars“. Their most „infamous“ act, burning those one million pounds, probably rubbed a few narcissistic greedy fucks the wrong way. 😏
By the way: I can’t even recall when I had heard KLF on any radio station the last time - but it must have been more than 20 years ago. And that while radio stations keep playing all kinds of garbage music that had been produced at the same time up and down the list.
I am 60 this year and I used to dance to this song at the discotheques in those days……..this song still rocks in 2022, will even rock in 3000 !

I remember a local radio station state: We play EVERYTHING... I was like. 'Yeah right!' A few weeks later I almost had a car accident when I heard 'KLF! uh-HUH...uh-HUH!' When the light turned red....I was jamming out with tears in my eyes!!! So many good memories! 😩🥰

I cannot tell you how long it's been that I've been trying to search for this old song from my childhood. It's so hard when you don't know the name of the artist or the song. But just remember that some of the lyrics were "uh-huh uh-huh uh-huh." Try putting that into Google search and all you'll come up with is "Uh-huh" by Julia Michaels... Lol. Thank God I've finally found this song!

I first heard The KLF in 1991 while staying in Paris, listening to Luxembourg Radio, late at night. It was soon being played in the discos & bars of Paris. I'm now 74 and still appreciate them and can still dance to them.

So, true story--the KLF were playing a live show in Calgary, Alberta, back in the day when they were at the height of their popularity. A friend of mine was a bike courier and bumped into the KLF on the Stephen Avenue Mall. He asked the lead female singer if she would sing that amazing "The KLF! Uh-huh, uh-huh!" into his radio and she was only too happy to do it. A good day to be a bike courier!
They never played any live shows, other than a couple of raves in England c.1989/90. Was it perhaps Wanda Dee?
