      I like it better without the blocked-by-the-steering-wheel display. Less redundant clutter and better for your night vision.

      Heads-up displays are wonderful. I don’t understand why Tesla doesn’t do them. It’s the biggest feature I missed when test-driving Teslas.

    Steer by wire is not a good reason for delaying FSD. FSD is driving is by wire. Rear wheel steering, towing, and camera location are possible reasons.

    I think the heavier Cyberbeast with "only" 845 hp will beat the 1020 hp Model X plaid also on asphalt. The former consistenly does 0-60 in 2.6 secs on regular asphalt roads while the latter does 2.5 seconds on 0-60 with roll out and in ideal situations. It would be a fun drag race to see 🙂
    But it begs the question - how did Tesla manage this kind of acceleration for the Cybertruck?!

    • @strangerpalooza
      @strangerpalooza  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yeah it’s weird Pierre, I’m guessing they have the Cybertruck more locked off right now than the X Plaid…maybe they will open it up in the future…Brandon is working on finding a track to test that out

    • @hummerguy
      @hummerguy Před 5 měsíci +4

      The motor gearing is probably lower on the cybertruck which lets it accelerate harder, but I'm pretty sure when you get up to speed, the plaid would leave it behind.

    • @johntheux9238
      @johntheux9238 Před 5 měsíci +2

      More gear reduction, the model X is way better at higher speeds, which is not really something that truck owners care about. 0-60 is more relevant when you are towing.

    • @hummerguy
      @hummerguy Před 5 měsíci

      @@johntheux9238 Lol tbh 0-60 is completely irrelevant when towing but yes the gear reduction is why its faster than the plaid from 0-60

    • @johntheux9238
      @johntheux9238 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@hummerguy Acceleration is synonymous to torque. 0-60 will just give you the average torque over that range of speeds relative to tire diameter and vehicle weight.

  • @johntheux9238

    Do you think it would actually feel like a sport car if it had stiffer suspensions and more tire pressure? Because it has a low center of gravity, steer by wire, rear wheel steering and an incredibly stiff body. The only thing that tells you you are in a truck is the cushy suspension and the huge tires.

    When the Cybertruck first came out I thought it was just ugly, but over time it's growing on me and it's not that bad now. Really though, there's nothing like it out there, so it's very unique. With most trucks today looking the same, there's nothing that looks like this truck. If I had the money I would have an EV but for now I'll have to rely on the old school V8 truck but an EV would be nice one day. Good video, I just found your channel and will be watching as you put stuff out.

    • @strangerpalooza
      @strangerpalooza  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I think when it comes to Vans (especially for RV’s) and heavy duty trucks hybrid is a great option, cars and light duty trucks like this electric is fine in my opinion. Different tools for different jobs I guess

    • @ranig2848
      @ranig2848 Před 5 měsíci +5

      Clearly you've never owned (maybe never drove) a Tesla... 🤦‍♂
      Hybrid is wrong on MANY levels. Need to maintain two drive trains, would very soon be more expensive than an EV... it's a patch and within 10 years would disappear. If a Tesla Semi can do 500 miles on a charge, the days of gas/diesel/hybrid are over... it's just another decade for them to completely disappear (as new vehicles).

    For those of us that drive 300 to 400 miles at a shot. EV is not really an option. We can't stop and wait for the vehicle to charge up. So for now fuel is it. Plus who can afford the replacement batteries. Too expensive for us poor people.

    • @strangerpalooza
      @strangerpalooza  Před 5 měsíci +12

      For sure everything is not for everyone…usually batteries have a 10 year or 100,000 mile warranty and as time goes on they get cheaper to replace

    • @Hugo-py2ce
      @Hugo-py2ce Před 5 měsíci +14

      Nobody replaces batteries! That just doesn't happen. These are not walmart toys that need battery replacement.
      The new cars including the cybertuck get more than 300 miles according to Edmunds. 334-350 actually.
      With a little more research you'll see and change your mind.

    • @ChitFromChinola

      I only drive 2-3 hrs at a stretch, so it’s perfect for me - a guilt-free, relaxing 30 minute charge time every 3 hr. The kids love it (and so do I).
      The batteries on my 3 yr old Model Y show no sign of needing replacement at 70,000 miles, so I’m skeptical of that speculative claim. It looks to me that the battery will last the life of the vehicle.
