    Tractor Brush Cutter mowing. In Episode 33 we go cut Tom's commercial property across from Walmart with the Tractor MT240E and the 5 Foot Rotary Cutter. It is a little over 3 acres of rough tough stuff! Run off in a wash out and almost turned over the tractor. The MT240E pull itself right out. I can't recommend the Tractor MT240E enough at the moment. I understand I only have 12 hours on it, but It is working perfectly with more than enough power for its frame size. If you are looking to start a tractor business focusing on general land care or a hobby farm, the MT240E is right in that sweet spot.

    Great video Tony ! Glad that washout moment wasn't anything more serious. If you're looking for more work, you may want to consider making a 4 X 8 plywood sign to post while you're working near a busy roadway. I'm really liking the MT 240E. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

    Always fun and interesting to watch you work your tractors and associated attachment. Is there much difference in fuel consumption? Found it interesing to see where the radiator is compared to the 125. With the type of work you do you actually see that screen get full. Thanks as always for taking out your video gear, setting it up and sharing your days activities with some good lessons.
    Best regards my friend.

Now if the operator can keep his bolts tight it would be perfect!!! hahaha!! (joking Tony) Well done job Tony! On the field and video!! Have a great weekend my friend!!

    I would like to put my 2 cents in. I owned an worked an LS 33HP for 5 years. Put 400 hours on it. I did mainly loader and blade work clearing brush and grading. I worked it hard. The only problem I had with that Tractor is me running over nails. I plugged front tires a lot. The motor and mechanics of that Tractor was flawless. I would buy another one without hesitation. Good Tractor. Matter of fact I bought a 5 series John Deere and though it's a good Tractor as well, it's too big for most of my jobs so I'm selling it and downsizing to a smaller Tractor. The 5 series is way too heavy for yards I'm working on. I would consider another LS.

      LS makes a good tractor. I have since sold my LS and went with TYM Tractors. I think TYM will be the next Kubota.

      @markmccoy1304 Před 3 lety +1

      @@TonysTractorAdventure Tony do you think TYM would be a better choice than the LS MT240E? What model would be equivalent to the 240? I was looking at the Deere 3 series yesterday. I feel their loaders are kinda weak. 1,186 lift. And their frame is kinda small.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před 3 lety

      For the money, strength, and reliability, the T474 by TYM is hard to beat. Same price as the LS, but 48hp. Beast of a loader.

    I'm not a safety nazi, but, for your family's sake, make yourself a block to hold up the loader. It's cheap. Raise the loader to the height desired, measure the loader lift cylinder rod between the pin and the barrel nut, then cut an angle iron to fit in that area. I used black tape to hold it in place, you can stand to the side and let the loader weight down slowly will hold it in place. I've seen new hoses come apart.
    Otherwise good video.

    So you may or may not want to answer this question but how do you charge for things like this, by the hour? By the job? I am looking at doing jobs similar to this but have no idea how to quote them and how much a tractor, truck, trailer and person is worth an hour.

Bucket won’t even move if tractor is running and someone accidentally bumps joystick. Hope this helps! I’ve looked and looked and I can’t figure out how to put picture on here

      That is standard on all new tractors. The loader will still leak down over time. I know a guy who put his tractor in his garage with his loader up for one night. It leaked down on his motorcycle. Caused some real damage.

      The lifting range of most subcompact are limited. Without seeing the setup, I can't see how to help you. I also no longer have any LS products. I do know the MT125 I had lifted the rotary-mowers.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure not worry I was able to get it figured out. When it was delivered to me the gentleman took off my backhoe as I wanted to attach my brush hog. Well he reconnected the hydraulic line incorrectly which is obviously why it wasn't lifting. Got it running and found the equipment to do a good job. This is my first time owning a Tractor so looking forward to putting it to use around our 10 acers. I enjoy your videos and find them very useful and helpful. I plan on possibly doing one on attaching the Brush hog as all the videos that I was able to find didn't really go into a step by step instruction on how to hook it up. Well again thanks for your quick response looking forward to your next video upload.
      By the way if you don't mind me asking why is it that you no longer have any LS brand equipment?
