- Apart from the front-end, the 747 arrivals are all at once, I have not edited it at all. First-in was Atlas Air (from ANC) followed by Kalita Air (the unmarked also from ANC ) with another Atlas Jet following from SCH, so that’s a bloody miracle to get them all-in on the same runway ‘in a row’, especially when they were splitting arrivals between runways 27 & 28. All three 744 are pure freighters 💪🏻 and those engine sounds take me right back to the old school turbojets ❤️
I challenge 🤔 can anyone find a sequence like this: no traffic splitting the arrivals, all at once. S asI know we’ve never seen/filmed it, even back in the days when BA Jumbos were two-a-penny at Heathrow, there’d always be traffic in-between. Even at Anchorage, they will be five or ten minutes apart 🤷🏼♂️
I’m guessing it happened many times back in the 80’s & 90’s with so many pax Jets, but these days this is rare for them to be in sequence less than 2 minutes apart
Length of the video 7.47, nice one BJTV and this was so awesome 👌 ❤
You probably won’t ever see three 747s arrive at an airport that close together again. Great coverage BigJet TV.
That’s a good point.
We have to treasure those moments.
747 are the greatest ever. Will never be beaten
Fantastic to see three 747's in a row !!!
Jerry in all his glory. Like a kid in a candy store waiting on three pieces of chocolate😉 Its like a throw back to the days of Jumbos landing from foreign countries on holiday.
What a special moment, just got the first 1 out the way to see the last touchdown
Great shot!! Beautiful 747's
The fact the clip is 7:47 mins long makes this even better
Absolutely brilliant what a fantastic 2 days in Chicago
Two Atlas Air and a White tail in a row, brilliant
Fantastic! So good to see 747 so active. I really miss them.
Long live the Queen (of the Skies) , the 747 !!! May she continue to inspire generations of plane watchers worldwide. The A380 just doesn’t have the same visceral feel and impact of the 747. Boeing made some wonderful machines, hopefully they can recapture that magic
You caught some of the best shots of the queen in recent years on this planet Jerry! Awesome 🤙🏻
So well filmed, super stuff Jerry...👍
Just awesome all three in one place landing wow wow wow , u git to love her queen of the sky always love u 747 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Flipping eck
Awesome footage of a fantastic moment I just knew Chicago would produce and then some!! This is so special a moment made even more so now because of the rarity value of the 747 Thanks JD and Gilly for being there for us to see this.

747 perfection, what a line up 😊 to have them back to back like that is just 😁 big ol cheesy grin, thanks again Jerry&Gilly Sundays and Wednesdays wouldn’t be the same without you guys, appreciate you standing in all weathers to bring us great footage from Heathrow and Globally 👍🏽.
Diamond geezer Jerry a fantastic moment captured live and really do not see this sight very often.😊😊😊
What a fabulous sequence - perfect antidote for the week I'd had. That's why she's the Queen, looks so regal. Thanks Jerry & Gilly, you are awesome 😎
Absolutely the best part of my week! Beautiful work Jerry and Gilly!!
Back in the day, coming into the stacks at LHR with nothing but B747s below you was a regular every day occurrence. Not so today. Awesome sight to see 74s from all over the world arriving at London within minutes of one another.
That’s not bad filming that Gerry 😂😂😂😂
Beautiful 747 and your videography 😊
Brilliant and the length of the video is 7.47sec fantastic Jerry
Oh wow, not only did we get one Atlas Air planes,, we got two! :D Sweet! Thnx Jerry.
I saw this live and it was incredible.
NICE, spotting! I wonder if Kelsey "74 GEAR" was on either "GIANT" flight!!
Your plane spotting are very special.

I am blown away by these 747. Such an awesome sight. Thank you for filming these beautiful planes ❤❤. You and Gilly are awesome
Definate ANC vibes 😍👌🏾
This is probably one of the greatest moments on any of the overseas shows! Great filming Jerry!
That was an awesome catch! And you know what? After all of my watching those 747s come in, I have never noticed what you brought out about the slats! Crazy man!! But it makes absolute sense. Watching this again…..
Video 7.47 minutes 😂. Love it.
Awesome video!
Like I said when I watched it live on Thursday... definitely a once in a lifetime event! Pefect timing Jerry and Gilly! Thx again for all that you do to keep us avgeeks entertained! Looking fwd to the Sunday show, as usual!
I remember a time I saw Three 747’s literally behind each other (:
Awesome video, love that you made the length 747.
What are the chances of three B747 freights in one?? Wow. And so close in by taxi!! Amazing

Great show ,great video Jerry
This is a splendid video.
I love your raw enthusiasm for it too Jerry, it’s infectious.
Excellent stuff. Love it.
I'm an A380 stan.... but these were great shots. The Lois Griffin of the Skies looked lovely 😊
The leading edge slats retract whenever the thrust reversers are deployed so not to get damaged by the forward blast. As soon as the pilot cancels the reversers and are closed, the slats will lower again.
Exactly correct, except the are technically not slats they are leading edge flaps (watch how the retract, fold under the wing instead of sliding in or out like slats), bit of an older style leading edge lift device but still does the same job
Absolutely awesome ✈❤
Wow! What beautiful aircraft!
Anyone else wondering if Kelsey (AKA 74Gear) was the copilot on one of the Atlas jets?? (I can't be the only one!)
"Swing noses"... Jerry! I believe "Visor" is the proper term. When I worked on C-5 Galaxies, the front door was referred to as the visor.
Fabulous 😊
3 x 747's wow. Nice shots
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
Bloody marvellous 👍👍👍
Wow the Queen love it ❤❤❤
Love the 7:47 time too 😃
Wow thought we were at Anchorage for a minute 😂👍
👍Awesome👍
Gotta have 747s and A380s back in production. If for no other reasons, only for the sake of their majestic aura.
The slat retraction is to protect them from the reverse thrusters. Once the reversers are gone, they can come back out and stay inline with the other slats again.
Those leading edge inner and midsection flaps retract upon entering reverse. They re-extend when you come out of reverse, in case you are doing a go-around
Epic!
Amazing airplanes.
Were these all on 28 Centre?
Wow!
Do the slats retract when the reverse thrust is selected?
Hat-trick❤
Big love to all watching Big Jet TV . Pete , Petersfield Hants 🇧🇸🇬🇧🇧🇸
Good vid
Which company did the plain white 747 belong to? Obviously the other 2 we Atlas, but just curious about this one?
Why do big jets go hard rudder on landing? is it another speed brake?
Hello from Wheatland Pennsylvania USA 🛫✈️🛬💪😎
Easy easy go on son
Easy easy go on son o my flipping eck where are you for tomorrow's show london heathrow
It is london heathrow on air 1pm
Yay Jerry great filming😄
When was the last time 3 Jumbos landed together at Heathrow?❤
Good question! Even when they where common at LHR, I don't remember 3 in a row!
This was not at LHR. This was at ORD which is O'Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, It's in the description & ORD on the screen.
@@lisawesley7132 I KNOW.
BJTV is based around Heathrow. I was just reminiscing about the lack of 747s around today.
Especially at Heathrow, where once they were a common sight.
