    I love how you explain how you work: simple and no chit-chat. A tip for you: Connie Stewart who's another SU! demo uses the sponge like you do but keep hers in a little plastic container. I started doing that too and I realized that I get more than 2-3 uses before cutting off the tip.

      Thanks for the tip Nicole! I used to keep it in a little plastic container, but found it still dried and didn't make much difference.     Thanks for reminding me of how special our silicone mat is and how to make a sticky situation a little simpler and less messy. You are so easy to listen to and very clear. I do use my embossing buddy for sticky tidy up but sometimes I use glitter, depends on the type of card, it adds just a touch of sparkle.

    Great video. I have been doing this foe some time, I just wash the sponge after use. It lasts m7ch longer.

    I take my little pieces of sponge to the sink....before the glue dries and wash out the sponge and allow it to completely dry before using again....and if you find your sponge getting stiff just work your sponge between your fingers to make it soft again.

    This is a tip around for along long time started on HSN an English lady used the glue on back of her hand people then stated using a silicone mat because it was easier to clean and neater

    I have found that if your glue is still wet on your sponge that you can wash it and will not have to cut or through your sponge away. Saving even more money

      Hi Robin! Spray adhesive can have its place in our craft room, but because of the expense and mess, I don’t use it often, and not on intricate paper. Thanks for watching ❤️

To answer your question: I just leave my sponge loose with a dedicated Silicone Craft Sheet on my craft area. I used to store it in a little plastic container, but found it made little difference. Check out the comments for other ideas; several people chimed in suggestions😊

    Super glue DOES stick to the silicone mat and won't come off. Found out the hard way.

    Why do you cut it away? You could just wash the sponge and let it dry completely and you could use it over and over again?

      Great question Heike! Once Tombow Multipurpose Glue dries, it's not water soluble and can't be rinsed. It turns gummy and is best just cut away. Because it's designed to dry quickly, I find this method works best. :)

    I would suggest not layering your background on the same surface where you just applied glue. It might pick up the glue from the mat.

    Great idea to add glue to intricate pieces, Thank you! I will say that i will never order from stampin up or any other "brand" because it is ridiculously overpriced and you pay simply for a brand name and not material. i can find everything here for what it should cost, a few dollars at most. I had to laugh when you showed the yellow sponges...i cant believe stampin up sells dish sponges...i hope they charge $1 for those cause that's what they cost unbranded. For anyone interested, you can find silicone mats in bigger sizes for only $2 with free shipping. I get mine from ebay vendors in china...exact same product, same material, just costs what it should.
