  • As we went around the circle as we turned into Plettenberg Bay, we could sense the vibe in the air that this is a major holiday destination. This seaside town on the Garden Route of South Africa is very popular. We were here many years ago and knew that the beach was a beautiful location. Arriving down at the beach right by the Beacon Island Hotel we remembered why. It is a really clean and fun beach where holidaymakers come to relax and soak up the sun. We took a slow drive through the town and then knew it was time to hit the road to our next stop. #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #plettenbergbay #vacation #beach

I was surprised to see how many people were on the beach and it was cloudy ⛅.

I used to live in PE and its amazing how many wealthy people had holiday homes in Plett.🤔😒

There certainly are beautiful homes in Plett, no doubt about that. We love PE too, so those folks had the best of both worlds. 😁

I cannot believe how that seaside "town" has grown since my last visit also around the early 2000s. Thank-you for showing us more of the town than the beach ⛱️, although I had many fun days there as a kid including being swept out by a ripcurrent. Fortunately I was able to swim back to shore.

That sounds scary! We noticed the rip current warnings and signage at the beaches.

Lovely place. So very different to Knysna. I enjoyed working there, but always felt like I was coming home towards Knysna. It's just a much more relaxed atmosphere

We loved both towns. The area is just so gorgeous, no wonder it's always bustling with holidaymakers.

Awsome. I stayed 3 months in Port Elizabeth for work. South Africa is a great country, I could only visit the Garden Route during a short holiday, no words. I hope someday I'll visit the rest of this beautiful country. Just subscribed to your channel. Regards 😊

It sounds like you fell in love with South Africa during your visit. 😍🇿🇦 I'm sure you dream of the day you can return and explore some more! Until then, we have plenty of videos to keep you busy. 😁

Nice but I thought beaches would be white. Is it brown because of rain? Or brown alwsys. Still very nice though

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed our visit to Plettenberg Bay! 🚙🏖️ It was a cloudy and rainy day, so I think the moisture contributed on this particular day, but sand isn't always white and varies in colour from white to a sandy colour, pardon the pun! You will find different colours of sand on different beaches and in different areas. 😁🌊
