I'm very impressed with how you approached the whole project. Having a detailed game documentation shows you are approaching this with reasonable goals to achieve. Your art style for the game is also really pretty!

@@crimsonhollowgame I believe that the most important thing in creating a game in this era is creating an endless amount of new things for players to do and a way to interact with literally everything in the game like they would in real life. Every time you add something new, I believe that should be every developer's focus. Anyway, congratulations and best of luck on your game it looks amazing.

Well probably bought a few systems and tools and then did the art in 3 months.

OMG this is art is beautiful! I can't even imagine how difficult it must be to animate 2D characters in isometric perspective. Well done.
Maybe what could help speeding up the character animation and clothing production is how Hades approached it, or at least similar. Like creating a base 3D Model and the important keyframes with it, then draw over the clothes etc. Nontheless very good looking game, looking forward to more progress!
I don't know how exactly Hades did it but that's how ufotable does character animation too and it looks really smooth.

The manual style of implementing art is going to make this game beautiful and responsive, but it's also going to make the storage requirement huge. Perhaps you could find ways to reuse assets and implement features that allow your code to alter how they look or behave.

I would make the day night cycle more noticeable like turning off interior lights during day, and changing the color pallet between day and night. This will make it pop more. Also, let users hover over things to see if they are clickable. There are many techniques on this you can research. Overall this is very impressive and I like the art style a lot!

From one animator to another, that’s a helluva walk cycle! I mainly do 3D shaded to look 2D cuz I don’t have the patience to draw on model but I love the look of hand-drawn animation
