How did they not win gold with this performance? Literally stunning.
I agree that this performance was gorgeous but as a figure skater myself I have to admit that the skaters probably needed to do a little bit more and the performance was a little slow. The sport is so hard 😅 so competition is really stressful especially in the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics that was a big one 😁

Not going to lie, when I saw their skate on the livestream, I cried. Their interpretation of the song was beautiful, and of course it made me happy to watch a performance of the thing that got me into figure skating in the first place at the Olympics. Truly a beautiful program.

I heard that season 2 is in a production but in 2019 one of a Japanese famous anime studio has been burned down and 36 people including two biggest directors died on that incident.(It was occurred by human not accident) So everything will be like halted or delayed including this anime both the movie and season 2 also.

One of the things I’m grateful to “Yuri on ice” for is for teaching me what an ART figure skating is. Before,I thought it was all just you go perform as many jumps and stuff as possible and choose some pretty music to go with it. I never realized how much ART and DANCE and STORY is in figure skating until I watched the anime.
I see a story in figure skating programs now. In this one,it seems like they’re telling the story of two people who were alone in the world. When they ran into each other and got together,life became fuller tho. Then,turmoil happens. They go through it together(them spinning in the mid of rink gives me that vibe) the two solve it together and afterwards,life is full again. And they’ve learned how to be content with themselves too. When they’re alone,life doesn’t feel empty anymore,it feels full because they’ve met
I remember so fondly seeing this live... I was practically in tears while watching 🥲 I was so happy. I even yelled to my dad and grandma “ITS YURI ON ICE!!!!!!”

There's something tentative, almost timid about their partner work. It might just be a flaw in the execution, but to me it felt like the representation of a freshly blossomed love, one so delicate and new they were hesitant to touch one another even though they were longing to. Beautiful performance.

Yuri on ice is the anime that inspired me to start figure skating and honestly it's the best thing that ever happened to me. I finally found a sport that I love and that made me fit and that i can put all of my passion into. I'm going towards 3 years of doing figure skating now and I can only repeat myself: this is the best thing that ever happened to me. So seeing this soundtrack used in actual olypmia inspires me even more and makes me want to improve and be able to feel and show that song how they did. Maybe I won't go to Olympia (because honestly that would be too stressful anyway) but I have found something that makes me truly happy and satisfied with myself.
Im actually planning to start skating but im literally so scared cause its Ice and your on a blade of steel. Also, it seems to cost a lot since im broke and my parents can't help me afford skates or anything to even help me start and since im 11 I can't get a job or anything. So can I please have just some tips/advice on getting started once I do gain the amount of money to were I can at least afford skates?

I would love to skate but I live in a tropical country and it never snows here, so it is really hard to find ice rinks and expensive to learn. But, anyway, that’s ok cause even so the anime helped me while dealing with daily anxiety attacks and I will be eternally grateful.

I feel you! I startet two years ago and it brings me so much joy! I am quite nervous because I have a show skate and a local competition coming up. But it is the best thing that ever happened to me and I wouldn't give it up ever! It's so much fun!
Watched this 3 years ago for the first time and I always come back to watch it. The music and skating are so beautiful. I never get tired of it.

Not really... Yuru on Ice came out at 2016, the winter Olympics games were on 2014 and 2018
im revisiting this video after rewatching yuri on ice for like the 5th time and after watching it over and over again it’s heartwarming to see the inspiration they got from the original choreography from the anime. especially when things start to pick up a bit after the ballad section you can really see how similar some of it is and i can’t get the smile off of my face. this performance is something i will remember going into the 2022 beijing olympics and im so excited!!
