Regina (Evil queen) had the most character development from everyone else in that show.
Literally, I swear the story writers were like, "so we finished the show." Um, you guys do realize there's plenty of other characters... "Oh, shat, we could've sworn it was just Regina!!!"

Octogon Smuggler I think Disney like funds some of the show or something so that’s why it’s like that because a lot of it follows Disney’s portrayal of the shows. Also if you go to Disney world they have posters up all over the place promoting the show and even have a replica of rumplestiltskens shop in the hollywood area of the park

I do know a little bit about the original Cinderella and in once upon a time I'm pretty sure they based it off the Disney version, not the original.

My Favorite Character actually is rumpelstiltskin even tho some of the stuff that he did to his loved one was messed up I loved to get to know him more as a character. In his original book it doesn’t talk about him much all we get is

That’s really all we got on him but in this series it opens his character a little more to the man he was to the man that is to the man that he will become and I love that.
I honestley think Pan was the best is only watched to the end of season 3 but he was an amazingly well written villain puts an evil twist on someone we grew up thinking of as the good guy and kept him intresting with some family ties and origional twists

I don't understand how you can call it dumb. It's fairytale, it's supposted to be unrealistic. Most of us loved fairytales when we were kids. This is like version when you're older. Even adults can watch it. For me, it reminds me childhood, it reminds me how i truly believed in these stories. And it gives me hope at some point. I can forget about all bad things that happenned and just relax, slow down for 40 minutes (probably more tbh). I don't think I'm alone. For all shows I've ever seen, this is the most UNDERRATED (+ YOU). Which is terrible for such amazing job. Directors, actors, make-up and hair artists, lighting, WRITERS - they did such a great job. Give it a chance at least.

Just watching one episode isn't enough. The series definitely has countless gushy laughable/nauseating moments but I think its appeal is how all the characters are interconnected, the parallels in the old world vs Storybrooke despite the characters not knowing who they are, the back stories and character development. It definitely has flaws but the complex intricate story lines are addicting.
goldfishcrayon that’s exactly why I was drawn to the show. Its biggest flaw is that some lines were so predictable you could finish their sentences before they were done delivering them. I love the intricate mesh of stories and how they fleshed out personalities.
i think the most irritating thing about it as, at least from what i’ve seen of the first few seasons, the show had really good potential. it was an interesting concept. but it really eroded a lot of its own characterization, even within the first season, and the dialogue is frustratingly bad. there’s also no self awareness in a show which frankly isn’t good enough to take itself completely seriously. idk i’ve been rewatching it recently and i guess i’m just upset that a good idea wasn’t translated to screen well, because i wish it had been.

Hey, once upon a time is not a stupid show, I love once upon a time, it's my favorite show.
I just want to say, this show gets really good after a few episodes. It is a bit complicated at the start, but trust me, there is so much in this show that you will love. Each season is unique and awesome. (Definitely not bisas but this is my favorite show)

It sounds worse than it is... you just have to watch more than a few episodes. Important details are revealed the more you watch
I was really into the first season, but then they kept changing the goal of the show, break the curse, get back to their world, save Henry, etc and then they had that whole frozen story arc, that killed it for me, so many other stories and characters got one episode, one scene, or nothing and the new characters get a whole season.
Agreed Frozen story arc was rough but The Peter Pan Arc was by far the best

I’m a big fan of the show and still love it, but a lot of us can accept that the show got lazier with the writing. Every season the show was losing like 1-2 million average viewers until it was at about 2 million for season 7 as opposed to season 2-3 where it was at 10 million.

I actually love this show but I understand these points. However this is based only on the first episode and its been a while since I watched it but I think its deliberately cheesy and predictable at first to present it as a traditional fairytale with very stereotypical good and bad characters. As the show progresses this breaks down and the backstory of pretty much everyone is shown in detail (for example the story behind snow white and prince charming is way more interesting than in the original story and is actually believable). The bad guys have lots of good in them too and the good guys aren't perfect. They all feel a lot more genuine later on, which is one of the reasons I love it.

Honestly as a person who has watched the show about 10 times over I can't really get bored of it. I understand people have different opinions about this show but to me its always going to be a favorite because I first watched it as a younger kid and fell in love with it. Its a childhood favorite show that I hope returns. I understand some of the lines or acting was cringy (trust me I had to fast forward when the evil queen and rumpelstiltskin had a "thing" for each other) but overall its a good show! :)

I always read the comments under these videos and all of the comments are full of hate and then you come to Once Upon A Time and everyone's like: "Nah it wasn't that bad" xD I have to be honest most of my friends stopped watching because the pilot was so cheesy, but the ones that decided to continue fell in love with the show and now are completely obsessed with it :P

Almost everyone’s favorite character is Regina (the evil queen) and Killian (Captain Hook came in the second season) OUAT is the best u just have to push through season 4 and 7. But the 3 and 5 season is the best and no one can say otherwise😂

I used to love this show. It was so fun to watch even though it was cheesy as hell, but heck, it packed some cool surprises and incredibly entertaining moments, but boy, does it have it pitfalls, especially later on.
I had to drop by the end of season 6, but I have fond memories of having a fun time with the show. It was a good ride, even if by the end it ran out of gas.

It's funny because I know it's kinda dumb. But I still love it to death. I love the characters, I love the over-the-top sappiness, it's an amazing escape from reality for me. The only thing I couldn't get past was Henry X Jacinda. I firmly believe that it should've been Ivy.
ibealec yes! Ivy was probably the best new character that came onto the show, and she would have been a better match for Henry than Jacinda. I was so sad that she had to leave. Despite that, Once is still an amazing show, and has inspired me and taught me how to get through life(Regina).
I mean Ivy just makes sense considering who his mothers were. It would make sense for Henry to be into complicated women. . Instead we got uncomplicated boring ass Jacinda. Whatever I guess we'll always have fanfiction

The first few seasons were ok but when Henry became grown was just crazy
Henry growing up and having his own kid ruined the show, I did not like the last season. Plus, why is there 2 Cinderella’s? I never got that! Some one explain that to me!
@@annakhokhar6284 Basically the fairytale world henry went to was the wish world that was created when Emma wished on the genie to not be the savior anymore. And that world had a differwnt hook, different Cinderella, etc

Even tho season 7 was not as interesting as the rest it still had the best ending a show could have, everyone was happy. I loved how it all worked out, and how everyone showed up to film the ending, and how they didn’t kill any main charachters for shock value.

The one who wrote the stories in the book used the power wrong and was locked away. Long story short after they defeat that author, Henry is selected to become the next author by the wizard Merlin assistant.
Honestly I love this show so much (kinda went wayyyy downhill in season 7, but I’m not talking about that) Got me out of a major depressive time in my life when I was actually contemplating ending it. Later seasons are better and I totally understand it’s not for everyone. It’s a show really about romance and fairytales and twist and some people just don’t enjoy that. I completely get it. I for example, don’t enjoy watching horror movies but some people love them. I really recommend it to anyone who thinks they will enjoy it. It saved my life and I hope it bring as much joy to you as it did to me
I know this comment’s from a while ago now but I’m genuinely really glad to hear that, and I hope you’re doing okay now:) I feel like the show definitely has an “able to sit down and escape for a bit” sort of quality about it that I love, and even though it’s brought up so much, it is nice and can get a bit cheesy at times, it is nice how much they talk about love and hope and family. And the amount of redemptions and “people can change” lesson is a nice thing to take into the real world too honestly, this show honestly helped me too when I needed a break from life at times
This show was my whole childhood.. I started watching right as S4 came out and I remember watching the show every Wednesday after school right up until the last episode of S7. Love OUAT so much

I gave up halfway through S6 but eventually finished the season. I don't feel the need to watch S7 and am happy with how season 6 ended. Also, I love how when you actually watch the show countless times and you know every little detail you just say, "Nah, the show makes perfect sense" when everyone else is so confused by its complexity.

Once Upon a Time is actually the best twist on the Disney Fairy Tales. I know the Brothers Grimm made the stories but, it was an ABC show so I call them Disney Fairy Tales.
I guess you have only watched the first episode of the whole show. As established later, Snow and Charming have met before and it also wasn't their first kiss.
I like that this show conmects so many stories and the paralells between the Enchanted Forrest (which is not Storybrook) and Storybrook are amazingly composed. The score is amazing, so are the effects. We get to know and love all the characters.
Even though I have to admit that season 7 feels a bit... well copied. But I still like it
Actually, unlike the animated Disney movie, Snow in OUAT knew and was in love with David (Charming) for at lest a year before the kiss shown. Most likely, David proposed a couple of weeks after that and married her six - twelve months later.

Absolutely LOVED ONCE UPON A TIME!!!!! As with Smallville and Riverdale, I had written a few OUAT fics. I absolutely loved the entire run of the show.
Smallville was so dragged out especiallly Clark & Lana's love story. On-and-off again so many times. When he decided to reveal her his secret then made him change mind again. The best part & character development was Chloe.

One point to make, although you wouldn't know this from just watching the first episode... in OUAT, Snow & Charming didn't get married after their first kiss... In fact, they met after she tried to rob him and hit him in the head with a rock (which is so much better lol no 😂) But yeah, definitely agree with the other stuff, even though it's one of my favorite shows...

Me too. I'm halfway through season two, and though I love the show and the core characters, it has some very cringe moments (understandably). I will say that some of the things that happen just don't really add up, and people wouldn't behave the way they do in the show. The CGI in a lot of scenes is also incredibly dated and hilarious. Definitely a great show for a pre-teen haha. Having said that, and despite being 29, I still really enjoy it

One thing I remember quite clearly from this show was that the illustrations in that storybook of Henry's were so aweful. Guess they had to be since it would have been too simple to just show the townspeople faces in the book as proof, but the composition of half of them were really awkward for the purpose of hiding identitied (eg. The huntsman holding his knife up in front of his face like he's wiping something off his cheek) and the other half have so little detail I'm surprised they even bothered with facial details
