It's Christmas and you know what that means! Oh, you don't? Well, let me explain. Each year, on December 24th, 25th, and 26th, we release a tier list ranking all the investigators. Let's see what we think of all these investigators one year later.
It's Bryn in the driver's seat for this one. Go Bryn go!
Reminder: These tier lists are our own perspectives of the game. While we certainly play a lot of Arkham, we aren't going to pretend that our tier lists are definitive. These lists are meant for fun and discussion, so don't take them too seriously.

You need to do a campaign run where you each play an investigator from your D tier.
D for do that now!
Merry Christmas!
I would have never thought Bryn rated lily so low! She still can have 5 in her do something stat from turn one
I did not know Bryn played Netrunner. But I am not surprised he played Adam.
Justin what about a top 5 of character fantasy? Like agnes a dormant witch begining to awake or best back card story etc
yo after looking up what Dead Man Stomp is from Arkham Second Edition for Jim that sounds sick
I think Zoeys Dunwichsplash is amazing, use Leo De Luca and Lucky Cigarette Case for Actions/Draw and Down the Rabbit Hole for exp and ofc Spectral Razor for easy 8 fist.
🎉🎉🎉🎉 merry Christmas🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great insights. Thanks. Have you ranked investigators for true solo ?
No, we don't play true solo so don't have a good perspective on it.
13:03 The cigarette case isn't lucky, I just felt like having a smoke.
Nice list but you are definitely underestimating Patrice. 2xCornered(2) and being able to consistently use Alter Fate (2-8 times in a scenario) and other such cards is extremely strong. After getting cornered you might as well read her statline as 8/6/6/6. Her big weakness is that she doesnt have good ways to gain more actions though.
I've kept trying to get Finn to work...and he just doesn't. I've given up. Maybe if he also unexhausted a card as well when spending two resources? I don't know.
I love Finn. Which role and player count are you trying him in?
On a scale from 1-10, how risky is taking In The Thick Of It with Calvin in a blind run of TFA?
I'd give it a solid 9.
A blind run of TFA is already a 7.5 on the risky scale.
How about taking the parallel investigators and putting a new investigator on them?
Way less experienced in this game than you, so can you please elaborate why you consider Ursula the lowest tier investigator? Yes, she does not have 5 in the main stat, but she has pretty good defensive stats to take care of enemies and treacheries on her own (which was not my experience with Daisy, for example) and thus requires way less maintanance. I am currently having a blast with Ursula (paired with Lily) in Return to TFA, snapping around the map and fetching clues. Gené Beauregard, Eon Chart, Fieldwork, Pathfinder, Shortcut - all feel awesome with her. Even her signature ally got quite helpful several times when I had an enemy engaged with me, moved (without attack of opportunity) and Gene kicked it to the old location. If this is the low bar for an investigators in this game, then the rest should be all great.
First I’d recommend Justin’s ranking video for a different opinion on Ursula
Second Ursula is pretty decent all the things you mentioned are good reasons why.
Third Gene Beauregard is insanely good but Gene should get the credit for that not Ursula
(I know your point was that her unique ally helped but for a couple of damage and horror i’d rather take the attack of opportunity and not have to use up an ally slot a play action and the resources to put the unique ally into play)
@@joeyrobson3677 I disagree a little with Gene. Gene is insanely good but she has a little bit of the same problem Ursula has of "Now I need to move to trigger an effect, when I could've stayed parked." Except, it's only a downside for the first effect that requires you to move. So they multiply one another's power.
I believe that Mateo would be a great investigator if his elder sign worked like Carson's.
I enjoyed listening to this video, but I’m not at home, I’m at work. I hope that still counts.
I might try elder sign with Roland, always lose him to horror, he is fragile in that regard, damage has never been an issue.
Hey Justin, just an idea. What if next year the Tier are already filled and collected with the Investigators and the video is now each of you describing why you placed them on that Tier (going from D to S), so it can be faster and more focused
I like the discussions and stuff but at some point I only want to see the final result or the 2, 3 Investigators I like the most
There's a link the description to the final tierlist if you wanted to see specific investigators. If the list was already filled, the watch time on the video would go down, which isn't the best for the video.
@@PlayingBoardGames gotcha
I love how he insists Amanda is bad for no other reason than her stats every year while the others call her busted
I am so tired of hearing the argument of Roland being mid because of his low sanity: use Logical Reasoning, Something Worth Fighting For, buy an Elder Sign Amulet, make use of Hunter's Armor. There are so many ways nowadays to just counter Roland low sanity value, and that is without mentioning just the sheer versatily and power he gets from Seeker cards
Bryn hater Lily and Ursula) Although objectively they are both in tier A)
