I am glad to hear you are well, and with your family. I did not ride for decades while the kids were growing up. My wife has said "You are not leaving me here alone to raise these kids." Motorcycles are not the only way to enjoy life. And it is rather dangerous compared to most! Be well, make time for your family, and create what you want when the mood strikes you. - Frank
I discovered your channel shortly after purchasing my used '21 Himalayan. Do what's best for you. I get scaling back your riding or quitting all together. I've done it before but always got back into it a few years later.
Glad you're okay. You can get seriously hurt doing just about any thing involving outdoors whether it's motorcycling, bicycling, overlanding, hiking etc.. Do what makes you happy although I was here for the motorcycling. Good luck.
Jeeps are fun too! But I think motorcycles are best. I think we all just slow down a bit as we get older. I prefer off-road motorcycle riding so I am in control and not going to be hit by a car driver. I like riding with others that don't push me too hard. I'm also just fine riding an e-cruiser e-bike around the neighborhood with my wife. It's all adventure. Do you what you feel safest at and enjoy. I know the feeling of needing to create for the CZcams channel but its also fun just to forget about it and have fun sometimes. I do enjoy sharing my videos but I also just like knowing I am creating memories that my family and I can watch in the future. Just be AdvMike! and I'll be AdventureMikesGarage.
@@advmikeI have built out an overland Rubicon, and man the MPG are me alive lol. But seriously shopping campers (travel trailer) now. Family adventures would be a blast
@advmike don't give up on riding mate. Maybe look at taking steps to minimise the risk of injury with gear, and bin that honda. It is totally normal to feel as you do after injury. I badly injured my foot walking the other month and fractured 2 bones rolling my ankle, bad injury can happen every and anywhere.
O boy. In other video is wished you safe travels. 😬 I hope you are in less pain now. I know the feeling. 10 years ago i broke my spine at four places. An incredible stupid crash. I have done atleast several hundreds of thousend km'ters with riding in Europe and outside Europe. A lot of that away from the tarmac. And then you get a very stupid crash a few km'ters away from my home. I was in a harnass for almost 3 months. And after 4 months i did my first bike ride again. I was very lucky.
Broke my back, six ribs, punctured a lung riding dirt bikes. Was going to hang it up until my blood reminded me bikes are what me tick. If they don't make you tick, walk away. If they do, walk away for a few weeks. I got back on after I healed and love them even more now than before. You will be fine it's just the initial protection devise within your brain. Stay off the little scooter...
You walk away after a laceration on your chin and bruising your hand? Sounds like it’s the right thing to do. You’re not ready for adventure/offroad riding. Not only skillwise, which obviously can be built over time, but in terms of your attitude. Ironically, riding "safe" on trails is often the least safe thing you can do. Which basically means you can do more harm riding with these thoughts at the back of your head. If that’s the case, yeah stay away from riding. You’ll be far better off. Glad your little crash is behind you 😊

Glad to see you! I was just thinking about you the other day and was about to ask about your Himalayan
Thank you sir! Other than a dead battery she’s doing great. 😆
Wishing you a very quick recovery, sorry to here about your accident

Thanks god you are okay and back! Thanks for sharing, Mike
Agreed. Thank you 🙏 Getting back on the bike has made me feel like a brand new rider. 😳😁
Adventure comes in many forms. Glad to see you are OK and going to the next phase.
🙏 Thank you - Ive got a few ideas rolling around. 😁

Great mindset. Agreed on being off road too. A lot more fun with a lot less speed. 😁
That feeling/thought of being selfish, it hit me big time.
I still don’t find myself wanting to do multi day trips.
Maybe we need to get Jeeps 😂
Right?! I might become an “overlander” yet… 😆

This one took far longer to make than I wanted. Glad to be back!

Glad you recovered! That sounds brutal.
Man are you right. I wish I didn’t love riding so much.
