@@cezzy_1496 Exactly. Them being fast makes them difficult to dodge. You can't outrun them. That's when those sharp wheels and the weight of the train becomes a problem. That's why it's so important to not play on train tracks
There's a new "kiddified" version of thomas (at least here in the uk) where its all cartoony and animated digitally, not by hand anymore. And it looks fucking horrifying. Yet another childhood show gone. First postman Pat and Noddy, and now thomas.

i think what made the train thing so good was that it was actually a game. it wasn't just a horror story where the only "playing" you do is walk around and progress the story. there was actually a game you had to play and think about. also made it fun to watch. really well done!

They all have a creepy atmosphere and sound design, the jumpscares are just there to make the game more suspenseful so your always on the edge of your seat
If that first game wasn't basically a Thomas the Tank Engine Fan Game, it could be a real hit honestly. the idea, the environments, the sound design all make it genuinely super scary
I think that's part of what makes it even better though. You go into the game with the concept of the original Thomas the Train in your mind, so you're not ready for the shank.
Might be possible to recreate that though with the right aesthetic at the start of the game though
