i found that the hardest part to watch all season. the same unfunny joke forced over and over again, pretending to be an arrogant biatch isn't my kind of humour.

The ladies stag minute feels like some weird abstract performance art they're inflicting on Alex. It's one where I really wish we got to see more of the planning phase, because I really want to know just why the hell _that_ was what they decided on.
It’s like when Katherine, Richard and Joe were a team to build something out of a bunch of random flat-pack bits. It kept morphing from one idea to the next, and basically landed on ‘tiki bar’ because they were running out of time (and Joe’s patience :)

The shoe task was one of my favourite tasks. As a mathematician who’s done a bit of coding I was immediately thinking of a sort algorithm. It’s impressive people figured out the best method even if they didn’t from the get go.
Did anyone simply say, ‘is it on one of these two tables?’ Until they got a yes?
Never understood why they didnt just half the number again and again. Or go by table and narrow it down in groups. Feel like there shouldnt ever be more than 10 questions asked really. 😆😆😆

You don't need to be a mathematician to understand that halving strategy would work. Same as when you try to find a word in a dictionary. Granted I'm also in stem but this seems to be something that shouldn't require coding or math knowledge to understand

Last series when they had to throw paint powder on a soldier. I think Greg would have given at least 1 bonus point for throwing it on Alex instead.
What I like most about these series is the lack of competitive people. Yeah, Adler messes with them sometimes but its still ok. I feel like the last few seasons it got borderline annoying with Richard Herring, Daisy May Cooper, Lou, Ian, Ed, Rose etc.. I didnt really know the work of this series contestants, but so far its been brilliant in my opinion.

There's definitely a fine line with competitiveness. Nish Kumar and Mark Watson were putting their full effort, but it was still funny
I mean, people like Daisy wasnt really competitive. 😆 More like someone who wants to do bad but appear competitive somehow. Cause she was shiiieeet haha.
Ed and Rose was great tbh. What makes the show good is the mix of contestants. I myself have found some of the later seasons rather stale cause they often didnt try in the tasks at all and went "thats my comedy." Well I just call that lazy 😆
I miss the old days with that poet/comedian whats his name? Joe Wilkinson etc.. They seemed competitive and hilarious in a good way. (Last season has been great so far for me btw)
I feel like this one's had a lot more arguing between contestants than the past few to be honest. Although I suppose one of the seasons had two of the most polite contestants Charlotte Richie and Mike Wozniak, so...
I only knew Ardal from Death in paradise. But he is really funny!

"Stag Night" or "Stag Party" is what the British call a Bachelor's Party. So "Stag minute" is just Alex trying to being clever and saying "throw a Bachelors Party, but in a minute".

To be fair, her question "does the shoe have a heel" was an impossible question for Alex to answer objectively unless he assumes she means just any heel at all, in which case the answer is always yes. If he assumed she meant "high heel", the definition of how high the heel needs to be gets too subjective to answer definitively.
He was actually being as nice as he could with that answer by saying "sort of" instead of a solid yes or no, and demonstrating that technically her flat shoe has a heel. Doing that made it crystal clear to her he was stuck having to make a subjective call. He could have just flat out said "yes" and not explained his thinking, which would have really thrown her off.
Alex kind of halfway helping is a wonderful TM tradition.

Can always tell who didn't watch the other tasks and just wants to comment on the individual. She was acting and did a good enough job to make you look like a fool in the comments.
