In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Bridget finding certain rules ridiculous and deciding to ignore them (or invent her own) has been one of my favorite aspects of this season.
Put her in an all star season with Rhod and watch the rule breaking along and messing with Alex.

Sophie flipping the arrows was a big brain move, how she didn’t win the task is beyond me
Because other people figured out that running causes you to move faster than walking.
Sometimes, it's about how you bend the rules to win.
Also, one contestant yanked the basket off. I don't know if that was allowed, but that was incredibly smart as well.

Imagine if they decided to do specials like that. Like champions of champions but for contestants with different themes. Like the absolutely bonkers ones, the nice ones (Charlotte, Mel, etc), the ones who were ultra competitive (ed, James, iaan, etc), the ones who didn't care (Judi, Jo etc). I bet they'd all still have really different approaches to tasks despite how often we compare them.
If you did that you'd probably get a picture of Greg looking fat

I admit, pulling the basket off of the bike was a brilliant move. Probably should have dumped the ducks inside of it so the "carry one duck at a time" rule wasn't broken. My initial idea was to wait for Alex to come by, then shove a big stick through a tire. It's a tricycle, so he wouldn't have flipped and hurt himself, and it would have forced him to stay in one place.
As for the person who swapped the arrows around, I wonder why they didn't think of using the arrows to park Alex directly at the table itself, once they realized that he was going to follow the arrows that strictly.
Well they each don't know what the others did until they're on the stage. So even if she had gone first, nobody else saw him do that.

Chris could have just read the magic words off each duck and kept alex parked the whole time. So could anyone else but he actually found the words on the ducks!

It's bizarre that Chris only used 2 of the magic words, he found them written on the ducks but didn't check the rest.
Most of the ducks had the two he used on them. The only one we know that he didn't use was "thank you."
Greg's hands look absolutely massive on Alex's face
Every single one of them started by putting the biggest ducks in the basket, which absolutely baffled me. Surely start with the smallest duck so you don’t immediately fill up the basket? Smaller ducks = more ducks in the basket, no?
I did think that, but I wonder if the smaller ducks would have fallen through the holes? Medium sized ducks would've probably been best
When packing things you generally start with the biggest things first so they can fit
@@connorwelcher The challenge isn't to fit them all in. The challenge is to fit more than the other players. If you start with small ducks and get a total of 50 ducks in, that's better than starting with 5 big ducks and getting a total of 10 ducks.

Why did they all start with the big ducks without realizing how quickly it would make the basket fill up making it harder to get the rest of them in while chasing him around in circles.
It painfully showed their inability in spatial awareness.
I mean.. They panicked.. They would just go big fill up more.. Without thinking on the amount... It was sudden after all
@@yuki97kira Every task they get is sudden. But I am sure that even as a toddler they have begun to experience what happends when you try to stuff things in a space. If that basic knowledge does not come back to you in a silly game then you must either be in a blind panic not to think about it. Also I loved the contestant Rhod Gilbert who seemed to force himself to think a few seconds first about what he should do, no matter the urgency of the task. It paid off several times :P
@@longbow857 I don't remember who it was, but one of the contestants realized that he could read most of the task, then hold off on reading aloud the words "Your time starts now" in order to give himself a chance to think. Now that is some big-brain stuff.
@@davidstorrs Ehh I believe it was in the first season and I am pretty sure that after that season they told the contestants that they couldnt buy time with that anymore, because it never happend again. it's a very obvious way to trick every task, so I am pretty sure this is what happend. Still smart from the person in the first seasons ofc.
They really are just looking for excuses to re-use all those ducks x`D

I think the small ducks fall through the slats if you start with them. You need some buffer.

This is one of the best tasks in the series. Good tasks have lots of loopholes (or a certain type of good task) and this task has around 7
I do agree with what Ed said on the podcast (for once - normally I find him irritatingly nitpicky) - Alex WANTED someone to make him cycle round in circles and very blatantly gave Sophie a hint hoping she’d pick up on it. He didn’t tell any of the others that he ‘has to follow the arrows’. You can see him wonder if she’s moving them when she climbs on the bench at 5:23, asking, “Ah, now what are you…” but stopping himself. I think Sophie filmed this last and he wanted her to show a new way of doing it because otherwise it would have been 5 very similar attempts with no one really finding the magic words.
yeah, but also she was the only one trying to stop him from driving the normal way by standing in front of him etc., so she thought in that direction before getting the clue from alex
@@Lara2910 Well, yeah, but he didn’t really need to give her the hint! Bridget also impeded his movement at 5:55 when she was grabbing the basket but he didn’t say anything to her. She probably wouldn’t have got the hint even if he had, but still…

I own that tryke! Mine is red too. I don't envy poor Alex. Riding that tryke on grass/uneven ground is no joke, my friend. And the turning is not like a normal bicycle. You have to use your back and hips a bit more when rounding a tight curve. Turn too fast and the whole thing will topple sideways. Avid bike riding friends who have tried my tryke are surprised about the difference in the center of gravity. I'm guessing Alex was well and truly knackered after this task!😂
Trikes are evil, especially the ones with motors.
It seems like it would be easier without magic words since he very noticeably slows down when not resting. :p

I would have thrown the ducks - one at a time closer to the tree and then thrown them in the basket maybe. Loved ripping the basket off.

Why didn’t they try to chase Alex? Like try to weigh down the bike so no one had to run around. Nothing said that they couldn’t not touch the bike or impact the movement of Alex. Only the movement of the person was controlled.

Look you can find series 13 on CZcams but you’ve already seen the good seasons of taskmaster, you shouldn’t disappoint yourself. Champion of champions 6-10 is good though
