- This is the Huge "Candelabra" carved in Paracas. No one knows what this means or why it was carved. Archaeological experts have found pottery near the site and dated it to 200 BCE. There are many theories of what this symbol means. The main ones are:
1. A representation of the trident, a lightning rod of the god Viracocha, who was seen in mythology throughout South America.
2. A symbolic representation of a hallucinogenic plant called Jimson weed.
3. A masonic symbol.
4. José de San Martín, Liberator of Peru carved it to announce his arrival to the people.

My brother , read chapter 40 of the Ramanya , a Lord name Surgiv sends his army in 4 directions , the party that went east of india , travelled till they were told they would see a pylon of a 3 leaf plam tree visible from sea , also said this is the eastern marker made by celestial beings.

Paracus Candelabra has been mentioned in Kishkinda Kanda of Ramayana. It is described as a pylon of palm tree constructed as easterly compass. According to Sugreeva,it is the farthermost point in the east the vanaras have to travel in search of Sita

Believe it or not, but there's a mention of this geoglyph in Valmiki Ramayana volume 4 'kiskindha kanda',
where lord sugreev is ordering his troops in all 4 directions to search the wherabouts of Sita & Ravana, while giving them knowledge about the landscapes of the whole earth he is telling his each troop about the dangers, the inhabitants and attractions which they'll find on their journey. (Keep in mind that most of his troop didn't cover the whole journey because of the timeframe given to them was only one month)
He tells the eastern troop that at very far east, after crossing an ocean they'll reach a pylon on the peak of the mountain which'll be visible from the ocean itself, the pylon is a mark made by some celestial god for the purpose of idetifying the end of east direction, the pylon mark is actually an insignia of a deity Ananta who resides (possibly controls) on that land. He also tells that beyond this pylon is a large mountain range (the Andes) the golden mountain. Beyond this Golden mountain its all west (it's a reference to the spherical nature of our planet and the diurnal motion of the sun).
The deity ananta is described as someone who wears black clothing and numerous serpent like hoods on his head who is brilliant and respected by everyone. whats intresting is this descriptions is very similar to that of the STAFF GOD of ancient chavian civilization of peru, andes.

Dr Vartak has explained one theory in his book 'Vastav Ramayan' that this trident symbol has mentioned in Ramayan sholka. When sita was abducted by Ravana, Sugriv sends his army in 4 directions of the world. In one such direction his soldiers travels till trident mark situated near a river. I would request you to dig more into this. Thank you

Paracas is the distorted Sanskrit word Prakash(light).

Sugreeve told them to search for Seeta to the end of the east, which is demarcated by a golden, three branched, Tala tree, which shines from the top to bottom, carved on Uday Mountain. Valmiki wrote this true fact around 7292 years BC, This one evidence alone is sufficient to prove the Valmiki Ramayana as true history

I have another possible translation. This is a representation of a HUGE wave viewed straight on. The path down the wave-front on the far right is a duplicate of the wake path seen from a surfer coming down the front of a 100 foot wave at Nazare, Portugal in January, 2013 (McNamara).
