You should make more of these, I never knew about the weapons having poisoned magic and I've been playing since launch. I also think this was a very creative way to tell the story.

The art makes me think of my favorite part of GW2, the children in lions arch during personal story arguing over who would be who of Destiny's Edge and arguing as it's members until the dragon won. I look forward to it every time.

It reminds me of early youtube and doombox videos for gw1. Yet the the cut out individual parts feels paper mario. Hes still animating individual props. Also makes me think of those stage shows you see on medieval / renaissance things. I almost imagine seeing strings on his stuff.
Also takes me back to the lead up to gw2. All we had was concept art then the initial trailer it transforms into a 3d ingame model. Then they maintain the painterly look im their artstyle and side by side cutscenes
I would like that too, but part of the problem is that the other elder dragons' locations aren't as well established, Jormag is high up in the far shiverpeaks, but there's apparently been no communication more north than Frostgorge Sound, Primordious is deep underground, and flushed out the asura with lava, and Kralkatorrik is south in Elona, but again there's little commnication there. But yes, Anet should have us slowly going towards the next target and working together to find them.
Not only a great sum up but a good refresher.

Exactly! There is a suggestion that this /has/ to happen, and that is an area the plot could go in once the ED's are dealt with (or even before since that would be due in like 2020 at this rate)

Mike O'Brien needs to hire you, immediately. You summarized the whole story in a way that, over 3 years of GW1 and 3000 hours of GW2, I had no idea about.

WP, i hoped for a personal story recap for a long time. When I did it, i skipped alit of cinematics and dialogues cause let's be honest, sometimes i just wanted to smash enemies. This recap was well made, I hope to see more crayon videos in the future.

Thanks, having done none of the dungeons except AC, I've missed half of the storyline. With the game being just over one year old I really wish they'd continue on with the main storyline rather than that rambling side plot of Living Story.

Great video though. Crayons, perfect choice ! And yes the first 30 lvls of Personal Story was the best aspect of it.
Well so far I've been enjoying them, so yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing more.
I'd never paid much attention to Gorr. I had no clue that there was a strategy beyond "hit Zhaitan over and over until he dies!" I'd never have known had I not watched this.
I personally want to see something done with either Kralkatorrik or Mordremoth, just cause the other three don't have as big a presence. (I say Mordremoth has a presence because of the very empty Magumma map. There is just so much potential for the area that unfortunately won't be seen in GW2 any time soon)

This cycle, where dragons' awakening happens when magic gets... too great (as you said) , is about to be broken by the races of Tyria. So it's like a "natural" balancing process that is actually getting countered.
What will happen to the world if magic cant stop growing ? If there's a good reason for Dragons to awake, well anything preventing their awakening might cause greater troubles in the future...

And thats where I feel they went wrong. The living story is a wonderful idea, but I feel that they have wandered very far from the original story and that the living story is kind of random and being dragged out now. They could be setting the stage for a wonderful conclusion, but I have a hard time caring about Scarlet and her plans when the entire idea behind the chaos in Tyria originally was the elder dragons. Would like to see more story in that direction.

Hey sir! I've been wondering, what do you think will happen with the 6 WIP asura gates in Lion's Arch? I suppose they will go to areas added in expansions/LS patches. However what would be so important to make an actual asura gate to, as the existing ones only lead to capital cities or from the Orders to Fort Trinity? I would like to hear your opinion on this.

I have played through the personal story, yes, but I mostly remember killing risen and laughing at Trahearne's "clawr island" rather than the characters and their struggles. Hmm, I kind of want to start a new alt now and pay better attention...

Well i suppose that the Pact is an organization made to fight the elder dragons... so they r busy fighting in the shiverpeaks with jormag, with the destroyers and the remaining risen spread across the world... scarlet is a relativly *small* threat compare to the dragons so ppl like the lionguard r fighting her

Yes, I was drunk last night. I remembered jumping out of a canon, and saying something like "You think you so tough leafy?" before punching in to a tree.
While there is good advice here, as always it comes with that snotty obnoxious attitude. If the thing you find most fun is grinding up to lvl 80 as fast as possible, go for it. Here's what's worked for me. Explore newb zones to 15, then Kessex hills Centaur chain (always check the roadblock at Earthworks event in between). That chain will get you to 35 pretty quick when you can move into Harathi Hinterlands for the champion chain. Do that till 60-65 and you can finish with crafting for ~15G

in my opinion, the creation of the Blood Stones was one of if not the most important part of GW's history in that we are able to fight back against the elder dragons because of the Blood Stones.

I just had a thought. What if Zhaitan isn't actually dead? Did anyone go down to check for a pulse? That could explain Tequatl's recent strength boost and could lead to Anet fixing the final fight.

The rest of the company is probably brewing something up about the other drakes. While the living story team is doing a year long story about Scarlet.
I think Gorr's laser beam is my favorite part. It looks they hit Zhaitan with a giant pink vibrator. Lol

To be honest this makes me want to play the story more than the game itself :P
See, at the end of that story should have come one last bit. "Destiny's Edge and the player character descend into the depths to finish Zhaitan off once and for all."
I still don't see why they couldn't add this as living story content, whereby the player discovers that after the final battle on the airship, scouts report Zhaitan's survival and a need to go in and finish him off arises. I mean, he's an undead themed dragon, right? Undead always come back. Plus it'd be a much better ending.

personally i think the next dragon will be Kralkatorrik or jormag most likely Jormag he has the most lore written, but for Kralkatorrik we do have a gate to his home you can see it at ebonhawk there is a guard in front and he wont let you in . the other dragons its not clear were they are we know there is deep sea 1 but were in the sea and the under ground dragon who i cant remember his name is also unknown were he is only that its under ground but the last dragon its not evan know what it is
Well, if the elder dragons are just part of a natural cycle that consumes magic when there's too much of it...and we kill them...wouldn't that mean that in many many years, the world would be destroyed by an overflow of magic, making us the bad guys?
This is a very good summary of the GW2 story. However, if it is for people that have not played the game and loved it, I would suggest it may looked more awesome if you had used clips from the game
To me this the main reason why I dislike the personal stories in GW2. Back in GW1, the personal stories make the player feel like a hero - a godslayer even. But now in GW2 the player is just one of the many - no1 imporatant!
