That award needs to go to Joe Thomas because it takes a real man to want to be apart of the browns who wasted his career
Michael Jokedan Not My Goat
Lol
😭😭
@John Trainer no Bron is
lol
🤡🤡🤡🤡
Wtf? He wasn’t in the nfl this season.
Bruce Jenner is a man and got woman of the year
So kneeling and disrespecting the military deserves man of the year lol great logic
Tebow was actually ridiculed for the religious gesture.
Mocked
made fun of
People made fun of him and disrespected his kneeling regardless of race
Miguel Macedo That's because he did it so often, that if the team won the coin toss he would kneel thanking the almighty. As if he was behind every moment.
The man believes what he believes. Plenty of locker rooms are very religious though....so....
Plus. this was only to show Jalen how he got it wrong...trying to bring tebow race into the mix about kneeling :)
Miguel Macedo Yeah, I get it. I was just making a bad joke about the punchline his kneeling became. All good
Tebow wasn't black balled for it. Colin was. You totally missed the point dumbass.
No one would black ball Colin for doing the exact same thing tebow did (it's very different in reality) and by saying this I am not condoning the black balling of Colin but I guess you just concluded that I was...because I'm white :)
You missed the point too I guess
Damn espn is uploading the whole show
Will Cain used to work at FOX News. Not surprised by his logic.
It's continuous conversations and debates is partly why he was never picked up!
Let this man go
The problem with Jalen’s whole comparison to Daniel and Fales is that those guys were backups not starters. They were being paid backup QB money. Kaepernick was never going to go back to the NFL for backup money. He wanted to be a starter and be paid like it but he wasn’t good enough to be one and nobody was going to pay him that kind of money to just sit on the bench
He was objectively better than several starting QBs at the time.
He took them to the superbowl you idiot nuff said
@@solom465well other than having the 3rd worst QBR in the NFL in his last season as a starter.
A trailblazer! Really wow
Believe it or not . Alot of people are against police killing UNARMED black men women and children
That Tim Tebow comparison by Jalen was absolutely perfect,
No it isn't Tebow never knelt during national anthem, or as an indictment to the flag of United States for which patriots have martyred their lives.
@@apoorv35 your such an idiot i dont know where to begin...
@@ronniefraud1404 I don't agree with his rhetoric or his "matryr" BS but he's actually right that the analogy is wrong. The reason people had a problem with Kaepernick protesting was because it was done during the national anthem. Tebow never did it during the anthem. Same gesture, different timing.
@@apoorv35 it was never about the fkn flag bruh..this man Kap was kneeling way before they threw the flag narrative on it. Get over yourself
Tim Tebow had every right to kneel. I support it and love it, but as much as I love Tim Tebow I'm not sure he was good enough to ever get the chance he got in the league.
Jalen made Will think...Will said he wanted to hear and see it the right way. He can hear and see it if he wants too: go look for it...half the battle was in front of him!
Malcolm Jenkins never even took a knee and he's still in the NFL so he was able to work on that deal. The owners refused to have Kapernick be a part of the meeting. A lot of the players weren't involved in that meeting like Eric Reed and Michael Bennett, which said Jenkins didn't have permission to speak on behalf of the players and asked him to stop communicating with the owners without them being involved. Kapernick was black balled so you can't hold him accountable for starting the conversation but dealing with owners who were unwilling to invite him in on the conversation.
Love it
nice mc hammer reference.....jalen that dude.....
My man Jalen Rose
Gavin Stutler wtf are you talking about
I mean no need to debate after Jalen's 1st few words, kinda tells everything you need to know. NFL should go out their own way tho, and at least give em a nod, to acknowledge Kap's efforts and moving the conversation progressive directions.
He’s a washed up EX QB, He is nothing, hence... he surfs the woke wake to Nike dollars 💵
Better question: Do you say you stand or kneel with Colin?
off course not, hes not in the NFL. makes no sense
I thought GQ was a fashion magazine not a sports magazine
Tebow signing brought me here ..🤷🏾♂️
Damn Jalen Rose killed Cain at the end with truth
DTX151 no he didn’t...
Ryan Hollins vibes (points left)
Michael Bennett? Same guy who lied/whined to the media about police mistreatment? That guy?
Juan Esteban the same guy who almost ruined another players career with a cheapshot too,yup that guy.
Yup that piece of shit Michael Bennett.
The guy who made a book called "white people are scared of me" or some bullshit
Yea that guy michael bennet the boyfriend of juicy smallit..i mean jusie smollet.
Lied? You believe the chopped up videos? When you have to edit evidence that should tell you who’s hiding
Not even a lunge.
Jalen won this one
Lol no, he looked like an idiot
The head honchos at ESPN clearly have a thing for this Will Cain guy. They're giving him as much airtime as possible to build a fan base so that they can justify giving him his own show later on.
The Boom Boom Room Because he's the contrarian, right wing pundit. One of the only ones they have, that is consistent. It's so they can have disagreements like this one.
The Boom Boom Room You probably right, but to be fair Will Cain is a good sports analyst. I like him because he always go against what I think is right. This gives me a chance to see “the other side’s” argument.
God forbid ESPN heads would put a guy on the show who brings diversity to the discussion. And not the silly race diversity which achieves nothing, but diversity of political thought.
The Boom Boom Room
It's already been done, they already giving him a show.
and why you so upset about will cain? because he dont agree with you? you idiopt need learn to agree and not agree without shutting others down just because they dont agree with you. wtf are you a fucking communist?
Very often I find myself sharing similar points of view with Jalan Rose. I don't in this case. And I think it's a stretch comparing Tebow's kneeling as a celebration to Kaps protest, but I respect his opinion and point of view.
Jay Senise If Kaepernick had said he was kneeling to thank the Christian deity and respects everything like Tebow, it wouldn't have been an issue. You can't trample on religious freedom.....oh wait you can....and.....showing respect for lost lives, instead of a flag, that has different meanings for many people, that's a "take your career away" offense.
CorbCorbin: I hear what you're saying and I get it. Personally, I don't think Kap should have essentially thrown away his career over this. That said, Kap didn't really think this through when he began protesting. He offended too many people without having a plan on how to transition his protest to the dialog he'd hoped to create in an attempt to inspire change. So what instead happened was the focus was on the negative aspects. Of course I am saying this after the fact where in hindsight it's clear he could have handled it better, and I get that. But he also said that if he got a job he'd stop protesting. I can't read his mind so I won't try to figure out why that is, everyone can have their own opinions on it. However my point to Jalan is the same point I'd say to you. Obviously if he knelt and said he was kneeling in prayer for lost lives or something that could be interpreted as respectful there would not have been outrage, but he said something very different. Something that at least half the country took as disrespectful. Just my opinion and reply to your comments.
Before I watch, let me guess what side Will Cain is on.
Said the same thing about jalen
He’s on the side of not oversimplifying the issue, which is exactly what Jalen did
Will looking at Jalen like, look at him reading a script. Im ready
Totally tuned Rose out when he called Krapernick a gentleman.
They put me in the mix lol #Mallet
He opted out of his contract
You have to be in the NFL to win the NFL man of the year. Get him another man of the year from another source.
Tebow vs Kaep comparison is not accurate.
No exemptions
This subject matter is the most patty on both sides.
Will Cain is like an American Milo Yiannopolous 😂
What is even this debate? Kap wasn’t even in the NFL 😂😂 how could he be a candidate for the award.
Jalen is so wrong. Tebow didn’t kneel to PROTEST the national anthem. It’s 2 different arguments. Kap shouldn’t win this award. Tebow wasn’t protesting anything. Kap is, and is doing it in the wrong way. His cause is fine. How he’s protesting is not
Will Cain Is right on this one
Kap should win solely based on who else is up for the award. Malcolm Jenkins (who owns a Papa John's) will probably win it tho. Just note He wasn;t raising His first or raising awareness until Kap did it. I think JJ Watt should get it out of eligible players for His Hurricane assistance which seemed to be more than our government cared.
On the field play keeps Watt out of the conversation. He was hurt too much
christina cumba this isn't the MVP award...it's the man of the year award, doesn't matter how good or bad of a player you are...
lamakicker69 she means the fact that he wasn't playing this year at all. U have to be an active player on the field for a majority of the season to be eligible
I think it should be noted that Kaepernick didn't kneel for any of this until A. He lost his starting job and B. Began dating a Muslim chick who is making him her puppet
xBacon Grizzler69 Watt is eligible, he's one of the nominees
Watched video alright
All he did was take s knee. He hasn't done anything else. Cain is right
Dam Molly face change over the past few years
If I hear one more person say he sacrificed his career I swear bro.....
His career as a starter was over before he started kneeling!!! He did this to garner attention.... why did he say he wouldn’t kneel for the anthem if another team would pick him up after he was released from the San Fran
Dude. Those stupid arguing points are old. He did sacrifice his career. Like grow up. Its OBVIOUSLY a fa t that you enjoy UNARMED black men women and children being killed. And that's cool. Just be honest
@@MicMucique2 are you dumb?
@@daveczarnik6017 no. You mother was for not swallowing you
@@MicMucique2 are you 8 years old?
@@daveczarnik6017 you got to be. You not coming with any facts to debunk what i say. Because you can't. And just like an 8 year old.. you resort to insults. Name Calling Like A Petulant Child
Well done! Well said Mr. Rose ✊
Bro I don’t know what the other guy is talking about
This aged well.
Yes it did.
Fr Collin sold out lol
Will Cain definitely blowing his dog whistle for his base.....smh.
Will Cain is so brave I love it
I mean JJ watt only raised millions of dollars for our city during the worst flood in us histpry...
What's worst. A flood in one state. Or the killing of UNARMED black men women and children all over a country
The gap between the two’s intellectual capability is absolutely stunning. What is Jalen talking about?
It doesn't matter and Kap probably doesn't want it. We're way past the point of NFL giving Kap awards for things.
Malcom Jenkins didnt to shit in comparison, only until, and ONLY after it was done before him. Not even the same, its like when everyone else started playing pokemon go after everyone who was a fan had been doing it, just to be a part of it. Not to take anything away from all the good he has done, i presume. Also i never did pokemon Go
The dude on the eagles that gave up his entire salary should get the reward
You wish trump was man of the year huh
If you think anyone other than JJ Watt deserves the award this year is insane. The dude raised over 37 million dollars for hurricane relief...come on.
Aww.... yall still hurt about Kaep? Lol
Colin has my vote!
37 million fucking dollars, let's not try to downplay this.
Bland of the Deer.
Deserve and eligible are two different things. Besides you get what you negotiate not what you deserve. Kaepernick is way over his head to go from being blackballed from the NFL to wanting in on owning the Carolina Panthers to now expecting the a Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Are you kidding me?
Why yall keep saying Walter Payton. ITS GQ. A FASHION MAGAZINE
Dusty Rhodes was a social justice warrior
Molly lookin like.. what you writing down baby, you thinkin what im thinkin ?
Will Cain has stood up for the Confederate flag too lol
Bad argument Jalen regarding Tebow and kneeling. He is also out of the league because of his beliefs. He may not be quite as good as Kap. But he's a winner! Look at the last 3 Broncos QBs can't even get us to 500 ball with a better offense and MUCH better defense. Kap should be in the league but so should Tebow. Both better than half of the qbs that have contracts . Back up or not
Yeah, Will's assessment of Colin, the anthem, police brutality, slave catchers... did not age well. I think Will's voice is so agitating it basically encourages fighting.
@boop correct! Will was too much truth for espn!
Black man debates Will KKKain.
Jalen and Jacoby need their show bumped up to prime time instead of anything with Stephen A.
jalen rose needs to decide where to look
Jalen didn’t get Will’s point at all
About the oversimplification, and proceeded to over simplify it by bringing up Tebow’s kneeling and getting emotional about the issue
KKKAIN
Cain right tho on this one he didn’t play God bless
Espn is a joke... this is a debate, how and why?
Damn i agreed with will cain.. wtf
Ofcourse you did
I know Cam Won MVP but I used to say a lot and I would still Take Colin Kaepernick over Cam Newton on a Football 🏈 Field.
Tf is this? That's like my ex job giving me employee of the year even tho I quit 😂😂
Not the same. But I get it
All kaepernick does is complain about issues instead of solving them
I stand for the flag and Neel for the cross
The flag code never said you had to stand... IJS
Alt Right Will Cain
Wasn't it Jalen Rose who once got down on SAS for the way he says Kwame Brown's name, and here he is saying guys names in a funny way?
Tebow took a knee after getting a touchdown, colin took a knee during the national anthem, it's not the same.
Do you stand at home for the anthem? I doubt it.
@@mr.noname5792 exactly
Too bad will Cain left. He is guilty of what he accuses ESPN of, being able to allow differences of political views
Cain left cuz he couldn't handle truth and that's why he's on Trump's News Network defending his master like all these other people do on Fox News
No
Nicely done Jalen - really good point...
What’s next should Michael Jackson be in the NBA hall of fame? ESPN you guys are falling apart
I find myself ageeing with Jalen on most topics. He needs a show bigger than Jalen and Jocoby
No....He didn't play this year. Should go to a current player.
The Walter Payton award should. But GQ has nothing to do with sports. IT'S A FASHION MAGAZINE
Kaepernick turned down NFL contract and then he found a way to make money through the "social justice", doesn't make him anything but an opportunist in a capitalist society, I can respect that. I think it is fair to say if he didn't protest he would be in the NFL, but he did it to himself by making the distraction he brings far outweighs his impact on the field. We seen players get pushed out of the league for things like domestic violence while their playing ability is still very good, now this might be an extreme example to compare but from a capitalist point of view it is the same thing, the return you get will never match the distraction they cause to your bottom line.
Kapernick didn't vote... what a role model. What a man of " the people". Jalen couldn't get the ball to reggie enough, still can't as an analyst.
Why vote when Republicans like trump can tamper with the election
I believe ESPN and fox sports are paid to say lebron is the best player.
U can tell will dnt fuck with my nigga
What if Jalen Rose just outta nowhere slap the shit outta Will Cain and send him to the Moon.
Malcolm "Papa John's" Jenkins is a candidate? GTFOH
Five simple things that EVERYONE can do to avoid jail and negative encounters with the police. And they're really this simple:
1) Don't do drugs. ANY of it. And until Weed is legalized at the Federal level, then it's probably a bad idea to carry around pipes and baggies of weed on you. Especially if you're the type of douchebag that draws attention to yourself because you have to feel important. More on that below....
2) Don't associate with questionable people. And yes, that might mean you may have to make hard choices about who you hang out with. Man up and kick them out of your life.
3) Don't give an attitude to the police. Playing lawyer with a cop on the side of a highway while he's trying to write you a ticket....isn't going to make that ticket go away.
4) Stay out of problem areas, or bad areas of town, unless you absolutely HAVE to go there. And if you live there, then stay in doors and lay low. Go straight to work, school, and/or home, and nowhere else. Work hard and earn the money to move out and start a better life elsewhere. Going to jail or the morgue because you decided to be a dumbass with the law or the police is going to hinder those plans, isn't it?
5) Don't fight with the police. Stiffening up instead of putting your hands behind your goddamn back when they try to handcuff you IS RESISTING ARREST. Period. Unless you are doing EXACTLY what you are told and cooperating 100%, you are RESISTING A LAWFUL ARREST. And if you don't think it's lawful, then argue your case in court like a decent citizen, instead of fighting with the police. Reality is not a TV show....you don't get to negotiate with the police and beg or plead with them about anything. That's not how reality works. Save it for COURT.
An honorable mention: don't draw attention to yourself in any way, shape or form. And contrary to popular belief, cops don't just stop black people because they're black. That's a myth perpetrated by the Liberal media. We're not living in the 1960s anymore. Drive with your seat-belt on and obey all traffic laws/signals, pull your fucking pants up when you are walking around town, turn your cap around on straight, and don't loiter around outside of businesses after dark. Sagging pants make you look like a dumbass with that cap, and loitering for no apparent reason is suspicious, and thus: attention worthy.
There. Simple things that ANYONE can do, regardless of skin color. And it didn't even take a protest. All it took was a little bit of common sense. Your skin color is no excuse for ignorance of reality and how the law works.
So drugs is the reason police kill UNARMED black men women and children?
2. What is a questionable person. Because police always say we all look suspicious
3. Dont give an attitude with the police? Even if they are constantly violating your rights?
5.Dude. What about fighting the police. We don't fight the police. We get shot with our hands in the air. We get shot after being handcuffed. We get shot when we call the police because we have been done wrong.
You cant say simple things we can do regardless of skin color. Because we dont get treated the same..... Like literally. So all the antics you just spoke only shows how white PRIVILEGE is very real. You don't know what it's like to be black or what we have to go through. How you can be doing nothing wrong and still get killed.
Kapp's cause was disingenuous to begin with. He was benched then sat down during the national anthem.
We must be BIGGER than our SYMBOLISM.
The flag...as well as COPS
Say that to Botham Jean
Devin Who ? What a joke
Will for the easy win
Notice how Jalen Rose refused to address how he called police officers modern day slave catchers. How about how Kaep claimed Fedal Castro was a great leader.
But they are. That's just facts. That's why he didn't respond. Let's keep it real dude.
Did J.J Watts raise money or did he take the $37 million out of his own pocket?
tbone11368 He raised it.
He raised 35 donated 2.
Kolin needs to sue the NFL owners for not signing him, he's not a bad player, I'm not going to stop watching the NFL because I like football but damn id take Colin instead of some of these clowns in the NFL that can't put up numbers and go 0-16 or 3-13
Colin Kapernick was rated as the 40th best QB this season(using last years stats), good players get held out when the bring angry people with them Greg Hardy, TO, Tebow, Kaep, Ray Rice, etc... Kaep was a bottom 3 passing QB EVERY YEAR
Let'z-B-Gamerz he competed against his job against Blane Gabbert his numbers were against sorry teams or last minute games that didn’t even matter and even if he was the man from 2013 it would hard for your customers/fan base to go along for that they would probably boycott the games and I know your broke ass got money for those tickets
Kaepernick is not good enough
