In todays Valheim guide I show you how to survive the mountain biome. If you enter the mountain in Valheim you will take frost damage because you will be freezing. You can stop freezing using 3 tips and tricks. Firstly you can craft camp fires to stay warm but these will get extinguished by snow. Secondly you can craft frost resistance mead using a queen bee from the starting area in the Meadows to craft a beehive which will produce honey. The honey can then be used with a thistle from the dark forest, bloodbags from leeches in the swamp biome and a greydwarf eye to craft frost resistance mead base in a cauldron. This can then be added to a fermenter to create frost resistance potions that make you immune to frost damage and stop you freezing in the mountain’s biome. After you can survive frost damage you can then craft yourself a wolf armor cape which gives frost resistance. To craft a wolf cape you need a wolf trophy, wolf pelt and silver. I will show you where to find silver in Valheim in this guide. You need the wishbone from the 3rd boss Bonemass to find the silver location to mine, the silver ore must then be smelted to silver ingots, then you can craft a wolf cape for permanent resistance to frost damage. This will help with the 4th boss Moder. You can also make silver wolf armor but it uses allot of silver to craft!
Valheim is a new RPG survival game set in a huge open world that can be played solo or co-op by 1-10 players and optional PVP mode with action combat. The open world is procedurally generated and inspired by viking culture. Valhiem was developed by Iron Gate AB and published by Coffee Stain Publishing. It features a combat system with unique skills, item crafting and weapons, house building where you can create settlements, castles, and mead halls. In Valheim you must summon and defeat vengeful primordial bosses of myth and legend, and collect trophies to progress and craft new powerful items.

      @ShavaNerad Před 3 lety +4

You don't even need to take time to destroy the whole house -- just the bits that are supporting the top tip of the beehive. Like any building element, when it no longer has support, it will fall to the ground in its elements (in this case usually a queen bee and 1-2 honey).
But if you don't get a queen bee this way? You probably did. Check the rafters and outside of the structure, and it's probably stuck on something. Just select it with E, or dismantle more of the building until it falls to the ground.

Picked this up on game pass not long ago, and I’m hooked. On my way to fighting the 2nd boss, but discovered some mountains in my journeys, which led me here. Now turns out I need to go to the swamp anyway just to get the stuff I need to not freeze to death in that mountain.
Also discovered that wolves hit like a TRUCK at my level, but after a couple deaths and some close calls, was able to tame 2 of them and brought them back to base to breed more. Just base lvl wolves, no stars, but where I’m at in the game, just 2 of em took on an entire greydwarf raid at base, so I think they’ll help me out a TON. Lol.

However I noticed something: on the mountain that my group found the clue to Moder, we found at least 12 silver veins with more uncovered. The size of the said mountain is also at least twice the size of any other mountains I've encounter prior to this.
So far we made a stone base here with stone walls all around to fight wolves invasions, and the occasional stone golem rampage after one spawned near to our mining site and smashed half of our hut into smithereen.

Just note that if the wishbone is pulsating fast near 3 rocks in a triangle formation, just ignore it since only skeleton remains will be there (from what I've experienced)

Tip for beehives. They don't have to be that far apart. Just put a beam hanging out of the wall and place the bee hives on top of the beams. A couple inches between each and you're good.

Easier way to drop beehives: Craft a workbench and disassemble the wall it's connected to. It'll break and drop, and you get the resources from the wall.

Amazing video but there are a few things he miss said or said wrong. Bees can be placed together just not too close to buildings but even then. I’ve got 5 bee hives touching each other on the side of my house(hanging from the wall) and I get 4 honey from each. Also, you get 10 minutes of resistance not 6

I am really thinking of buying this game and one of the things I am looking at is a building tunnel with fires in it or several small buildings all in a row open on two ends with a fire in each and a gap between each building in case you can't make one massive tunnel.

I've discovered how to teleport ore from anywhere in the world without portals and to never lose any of your gear again:
    1. gather supplies, create a new world and build a base right at the spawn with a chest
    2. create a new character, log into your new world and park them right in front of the chest
    3. log out, log into your main world as your new character then send them to your main base and park them in front of the chest you want to be your drop box.
Now you never have to transport ore ever again, whatsoever. you can be in the bottom of a sunken crypt, at 450 weight and half mined, and magically unload whatever you want into your drop box at home, simply by logging out, logging into your second world and dropping things off in the dropbox.
You can even have a workbench and forge ready to repair your gear.
If you're quick enough, you can also prevent yourself from ever losing anything ever again. by just logging out and back into your backup world and dropping your shit off.
If I'm the first one to figure this out, feel free to make a video about it and you're welcome!
