In this Valheim guide I will show you how to get the best bow and arrows in Valheim. The best weapons in Valheim change as you progress in gameplay and kill the games bosses. Valhiem has many bows that you can craft in early access, starting with the Crude bow, Finewood Bow, Huntsman bow and finally the Draugr Fang bow. What makes the draugr fang bow the best bow in Valheim is the fact it deals both poison damage and pierce damage. This gives you consistent poison dots on your enemy that can also be paired with elemental arrows too! We go over the best arrows to use. The game currently has 6 basic arrows that deal penetration damage from Wood arrows, Flinthead arrows, Bronze arrows, Iron arrows, Obsidian arrows and the most powerful Needle arrows but Valhiem also has 4 elemental arrows; Fire arrows, Poison arrows, Silver arrows and Frost arrows, I will tell you how to craft all the arrows in Valheim. To craft the Draugr Fang bow I will show you where to find ancient bark location, silver location, deer hide location and guck location. Most of the materials are found in the swamp biome but you will also need to go to the mountain biome to get silver and the starter area to get deer hide. The draugr fang bow can also be upgraded to level 4 using a level 4 forge. I will show you how to upgrade the workbench too.
Valheim is a new RPG survival game set in a huge open world that can be played solo or co-op by 1-10 players and optional PVP mode with action combat. Had no idea that those blobs on the trees were minable, always thought they were just visuals until I decided to look up draugr fangs crafting recipe on the wiki
I tries shooting them with arrows but they dont take damage. I thought they were blob on trees. Lol

i dont know if anyone else has tried this, but you can also use the large 2 handed hammers to find were the silver deposits are as well, you can use the first one you unlock, the one you need deer trophies for, to find them, if you hit the ground and it says 'to hard' you have found a deposit

I'm 50 hours in and I haven't unlocked a quarter of this stuff. Endgame is years away for me.
Update: 245 hours. This game is not good, this game is fantastic. Looking forward to more content.
He cheated in the vast majority of what you're seeing. Any crafted item should have who crafted it on it. A lot of his don't. That means...hacked in.
@@Arccanos 37 hours in here - I have access to a vast majority of the stuff he presents in the video, so it's not that hard to get that far; just need to explore! Anyway, many people don't understand how to get unique stuff, so him spawning stuff isn't really a big deal as he's playing by himself and presenting this video to help!
@@Arccanos I'm in for only 10 hours and I have a good deal unlocked thanks to a friend who is very knowledgeable about these kinds of games and an absolute beast. He has only been playing for about 25 hours. So...it's possible. Also I notice that you can port a character from one world to another server with all your stuff intact so there's a possibility this guy got with friends and unlocked stuff sooner. You can have 10 people in one server. Imagine each of them having a task to complete. You can get far just using teamwork.

I got few friends who had are far in, but i decided to carry my own weight, glad i did. Only thing i got were Iron chestplate that helped me alot in early game but thats it! Cheating kills 100% of the fun, not meant to be played that way.
Just to clarify one thing. Draugr are not weak to blunt damage like skeletons are. The damage numbers will appear yellow if the damage type you are using is more effective against a given enemy.

Don't get tricked by the built-in poison damage. Even fully upgraded it is very miniscule, and isn't substantial enough to finish off any enemy that you can't already 1-shot. Even for a Boss like Moder, you just want to prioritize pierce above all else. Using this bow for about 50 hours now, I've never really noticed the impact of the poison even when paired with poison arrows. Flat pierce is just overall most effective.

Don't use special arrows on low level mob s or hunting.. if you have it leveled use wood arrows on those things as well otherwise youre wasting em

Makes it sound so easy to get 20 silver. I’m still on iron which takes ages but can’t imagine silver will be much different since you have to sail all over the place to transport ores.
1) setup an unlinked portal in your home base.
2) load your boat with supplies to make a portal, smelter/ forge.
3) explore the map for the resource you need. Iron / silver etc. then close by in a "safe spot" build a very simply base place forge / smelter/ portal.
Now you can quickly make the stuff you need close to where the resources are.
If you need extra materials you can now quickly grab them through the portal. you can of course also stash anything you have crafted in your home base.
You will at some point need to make a journey to get some ores back to the main base, but it will save you the trips to make the next tier of weapons/armour.
That way you can quickly get the better gear to improve survival in the new biome. This will then allow you to better farm until you have filled the big boat for a single trip with a couple of hundred ores.

The Guck trees are really handy if you want to build a base in the swamp, but dont want it to be destroyed when you are AFK or not in the area, as those trees can not be destroyed
I usually build a treehouse or 2 around the swamp, either for respawning when I am going for the boss again or to stock up on iron ore while I am out, saving me a trip back to the boat/base
How come ? Are they indestructible or something? Because I was also wondering why not just chop the tree down so the guck comes to you

Effects don't stack with bows and every time you attack an enemy it just resets the damage effect timer and changes the effect damage depending on what you hit the enemy for.
I learned this trying to stack poison damage, some times it'd be 7 a tick and others it'd be 5 a tick.
Can you still do, say, poison from the bow and fire from the arrow at the same time?
No longer true as of Hearth and Home update. Attacks with fire or spirit damage will now stack (though not indefinitely)
You dont even need a wishbone to find silver, I just decided to not beat the third boss and I searched for above ground silver veins and eventually i found enough to make a full wolf set, with the bow and the frostener

Dude its like setting up any server for games. Just as easy, even a child can do it with instructions that can found through google. Hell, a mate asked valheim discord and a guy did it for him.

Love this bow, upgraded to t4 and absolutely slaughtered the 4th boss last night. I almost feel bad how quickly we killed it with 2 ppl, it didn't even get a chance to do all of its attacks on us and I don't think I took any damage from it at all
what type of arrows did you use?

I felt really dumb when I learned how to get guck.. I spent a while trying to cut down guck trees because they seemed like a resource, and there’s almost nothing you CANT destroy, but it never seemed to work
I've just learned it lol and I've hit just over 250hrs lol; I kept seeing the glowing light and just figured it was an aesthetic for the swamp haha
@@argowen me too, i tried to shoot em down, but it didnt work. But i did not consider building a ladder climb up the tree and harvest it

You can get guck from those swamp dungeons thingys (i forgot wut there called)and blobs
Frost arrows are way better than poison arrows tho, since it can slow enemies. And then there is also the fact that poison arrow damage does not stack with the Draugr Fang poison damage. Happy Hunting.
That bow, the silver sword and silver arrows are the best.

Deathsquito farm with leather armor you get one shot below 70 hp.
One of the best challenges I had in a game for a while and also my most fav farm on Plains
They actually nerfed them a few days ago. Before they could easily one shot you in iron/bronze. Now they are a joke.
@@mateuszmatuszczak5331 well I go with leather armor and low hp just so I could easily get one shotted. Crap Im disappointed they got nerfed. This game is hardcore and thats what makes it awesome
@@tzmakis Yeah but the damage was a bit ridiculous. When exploring in a boat you often sail along the coast. Deathsquitoes were like shoreline artillery. They can chase you through water, are small like a bullet and can outrun a longboat with tailwind. Now you can at least stand a chance to survive or recover your gear. THe first time I found the plains I got smacked from the shoreline and wasted 3 boats to get my stuff back.

Damn I just made a fully upgraded iron hunters bow . Cost about 60 iron to make
Don't worry about it my dood, I ended up fully upgrading all the different tiers of gear as I went so I had a fallback set incase I died and had to run back to get my stuff. I have all the endgame armor and weapons made fully upgraded and keep my silver wolf gear in a box to run back if I die from a squad of fulings (aka goblins) in the plains. They hit like a mack truck going 100mph even at endgame
Does poison damage stack with the bow effect?
I recomend using Oblivion Skooma if you are going to use a bow.

real quick and easy method to gain bow. kill boss 3 to user wishbone
You don't need the wishbone to find Silver. Once you figure out that the rock formations usually form above it and that the veins are high up you are set.

Yes. It is a hybrid bow because you can deal poison damage as well as frost or fire damage.
Yo ESO I haven't tried this myself yet but can you just break the guck sacks by shooting em with arrows and bypassing the ladder building segment
Nope, has to be hit with pickaxe and hatchet
Bows don't do damage to them
Little tip, turn off depth of field, SSAO, motion blur and chromatic abrasion. The game looks much better with them off.

I found guck and took your advice to build up tree but I fell and took 60 damage and a deathsquito came out of nowhere and killed me and I didn't reset my spawn point xD.

You should have started out with the wishbone. You can get the rest of it easily, but you can't get that without defeating a frickin boss. That's a big hurdle

Ikr, just went through 3 massive swamps and found none in any. At least in the 4th it was the first thing I found. xD
i must be lucky, i have over 10 crypts all close by each other in one swamp lol
heres a seed with a massive swamp that has like over 10 crypts in it a few minutes northwest of spawn, nkkFzfrNPu
a tip if your seed has crap swamp biome, start a new world with a good swamp seed then just farm on swamp server and go back to your main to depo

im really enjoying playing the game but it started crashing on me on random times and that makes me lose progress and its frustrating af, do you guys got crashing problems?

Every biome has different resources trees,plants,so on every biome you move to gives you the next teir of gear

@@lalcantara18 yes. Typically when you just stay in one area, you see the same items. And when you go somewhere new, it has new items. I know mind-blowing.
So I've been to 3 different swamp biomes and haven't found a single crypt dungeon. Am I doing something wrong? Killed the elder. Have swamp key.

Some swamps just suck but they are out there.

How do you shoot your bow so fast? Mine takes forever to charge.
You don't have to charge it completely but it does more damage and is more accurate if you do.

Have items on you, log out so it’s saved on person log back on. Put item on chest ctr alt del to task manager close Valhiem log back in ... item on person item on chest...
@@rotten350 thanks man I'll try it out. TBH I don't want to dupe items, materials that take hours to locate and then hours to transport to and from bases then yeah I;ll do it. I got a family and a job now so gaming time is precious and i can't grind the hours anymore.
