Join celebrated legend, Rick Astley, as he puts on a spectacular New Year’s Eve show. Coming from the iconic Roundhouse in Camden on Tuesday 12th December, the TV event will see Rick joined on stage by some very special guests, with live performances that will bring the house down and ring in the brand-new year. Performing his global hits and some surprise songs, Rick and his guests will bring the party right into 2024.

One of the very few, rare 90s artists who in 2024 still can sing their own songs LIVE and still sound like their own original recording. And this song never gets old.
I'd like to add the country singer Clint Black to the list. I got to hear him in concert back in September. He's in his sixties now, and he sounds exactly the same as his thirties. His arrangements were just like the 90s recordings, and he didn't stop moving during the entire performance.

Rick has the right attitude about this song. He must have performed it countless times over the years. But unlike so many musicians who get annoyed or depressed when people only really care about one of their songs, he still seems more than happy to do it.
Yeah, he's apparently a really chill dude! It's been a few decades since he first released the song, so I think he revels in the renewed popularity he got on the internet. He once said in an interview that he makes a few pennies every time someone makes a new meme that goes around, which is to say he's filthy rich now 🤣
I swear that a couple of his new songs are sequels to this one.
IIRC initially he wasn't happy about it, but after thinking about it, decided to roll with it - and then found himself enjoying the fact that one of his songs is probably one of the most recognisable bops of time.
Not to mention many new generations of fans getting into the rest of his songs because of Never gonna give you up.
