Really appreciate you showing off gameplay, it's a difficult endeavour, but adds so much value!
I played a LOT of Wii games this week. Lost a lot of Wii footage a few years ago with a hard drive crash, so I had to recapture all of it for this video. That said, it was a pretty fun 👍
@@MetalJesusRocks Just wanted to say, thank you for adding gameplay videos to your MJR Extras channel. The more we can preserve, the better.
@Arcade Kaos Mine too. So many great and unique games for the Wii.
Thank you man ,your such a positive man
Totally agree...thanks for the great content MJR!
I always appreciated when games would have motion controls but the developers knew those controls aren't for everyone, so they'd let you use whatever controller setup you preferred.
Then there is the Conduit games along with Black Ops. Not only were multiple control methods allowed with Conduit 2 onwards, but they let you customize the motion controls so much! It honestly was insane the level of customization both Conduit 2 and Black Ops provided to players.
The last game I played on my actual Wii was "The Last Story" which was a good rpg. Recommend that one.
I'm... sort of playing that on my WiiU now (hiatus - got inexplicably hooked on Another Eden and stuff on my 3DS). Loving the voices, some of the music is very good, but the combat system isn't doing me any favours. Oof...
Supposedly, that and Pandora's Tower are considered valuable today, but maybe not on the same level as something like "Gotcha Force" or "Cubivore" from the Gamecube.
The fact you showed that much gameplay is impressive. A lot of work put into the video and that's one of the reasons I've been subscribed to your channel for over 8 years.
Thanks for noticing. I try to capture gameplay footage for most of my videos. It’s takes a long time, but also makes my videos stand out. 👍
@@MetalJesusRocks It does and its the main reason I watch your channel. The 2nd reason is: The women you have on your show are genuine fans. They are not fake gamer girls and it really adds something to your channel that most "Corporate" game channels dont have. . .Authenticity
Opens notes, starts making list of games to look for.
Whenever I think I get close to the end.... adds pages.
I know he mentions the Conduit games being generic (The Conduit definitely fits that bill,) but Conduit 2 is honestly something special in my opinion. I am glad I got it again in my collection as it shows just how much the developer grew from the first game.
It is just an overall fun FPS on the Wii and is really fun to play with multiple people. The story itself isn't anything special, but the way it isn't taken seriously just makes it better in my opinion.
Also the weapon variety is great fun. What is really awesome is that fans of the game got its servers up and running. Every Sunday they get together and play Conduit 2. I highly recommend getting it.
I just did the same!
I love ExciteBots. One of the best racing games on the Wii. Bit Trip Complete is also a favorite of mine.
Here are three more Wii Hidden Gems that MetalJesus has never talked about:
-Dragon Quest Swords (Beautiful light gun game...but with swords)
-Jambo! Safari Animal Rescue (Obscure but fun Sega Arcade Game Remake)
-Fortune Street (Addictive Mario/Dragon Quest Monopoly game)
It was my first Dragon Quest game. One of my student gave it to me. I've read a lot about the series after playing it and I discover how important the series of games was for the video game industry
The Last Story is my absolute favorite Wii game, such an amazing game and the story had me really hooked, it's one of those games that made me feel sad once it was over as it felt like I was saying goodbye to longtime friends, not many games have had that impact on me.
I cannot recommend Endless Ocean and Endless Ocean: Blue World enough. Some of the greatest Wii games ever right there, and some of the most beautiful at that.
The kirby collection is done really well and was only priced at or around $40 when it first came out. I don’t understand why Nintendo hasn’t done anything like that since then.
But then they also gave us Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition that was just the same SNES cart and no additional games. Many believe it was a lazy port and Nintendo could've added more games to it.
i think it'd be great to see a wario collection made with the 4 gameboy games, the gamecube game, and the virtual boy game included.
So mad I sold mine, what was I thinking.
@@GAMINGWITHTRUE probably thinking about getting whatever fancy, new fangled game system that came after the wii.
@@GAMINGWITHTRUE at least you got it, no release in the uk
I worked at Goodwill for over 3 years and Wii Sports was hands down the most common game that came in, literally saw hundreds of copies. However, it was also the one that had the most bad copies because the disc was just a hockey puck. So I think part of the reason it's high is because good, usable copies are becoming less and less common.
Oh MAN, i used to play Ghost Squad at my local arcade all the time back in the day!
Had no idea it was on the Wii, gonna have to hunt down a copy!
I love mj talking about the wii, ever since the original hidden gem wii videos. He finds some amazing wii games to recommend
Wow, man I’ve been watching you for a few years now man and I just realized that you are a little over 830k. That’s awesome. Road to 1 million. Ive bought so many games because of your videos from ps3 to Nintendo switch to ps4 and so on and so forth. This is another good video man. Thanks!!! Maybe my wii can get some love again, lol!!!
I've been waiting for this one for a while now and it did not disappoint!! Awesome collection man. As a racing game fan you need to try the other Bigfoot game, "Bigfoot King of Crush" it controls great! Also "GT Pro Racer" and "Nascar Kart Racing" are both a ton of fun!!! Really appreciate these videos. I've had dozens of hours of fun with games that if not for you I would have never heard of, let alone tried. Thanks!
Exactly at the moment when my girlfriend and I found her old Wii in the closet, Metal Jesus made a video about his collection of Wii Games.
Thank you! We will try.
Not to mention the Wii is also backwards compatible with Gamecube games
Best console I have, period.
There are some really good on rails shooters on the Wii.
A note about the Nights game is that some of the features don't work on it anymore since components like the Wii weather channel no longer function. If I remember right, the game synced up with the weather channel to reflect your local weather.
I still have my Nintendo wii connected to a 29" crt tv, an extraordinary combination !!
Wii is a powerhouse of gaming. 240p over component NES/SNES emulation and Gamecube compatibility make it awesome. I use mine all the time... but I have never played a single Wii game on it lolol.
Same emulating snes games or n64 on my wii on a crt makes me so happy lol
Gamecube emulating is god
You got me beat. I have it hooked to a 27" CRT TV as well as a bunch of vintage consoles. lol
@@butchdeadlift7551 not 240 but 480p. wide. 16:10.
I just started my wii collection recently. I've owned a wii since launch back when I was 7 or 8, but never decided to collect until now. This is extremely helpful. You are literally the best youtuber, man.
Thanks for the video, I just started watching you about a month ago and I have just been binging your videos when I can!
I love collecting for the Wii. So many cool titles you can find for dirt cheap in 2021.
Great Collection Man! I Might Get Back Into Collecting For The Wii Because It's One Of My Favorite Consoles Of All Time
Nice to see another owner of Opoona! It's truly one of the best games for the Wii, especially if you're a huge fan of something like Earthbound since it has that similar charm with its atmosphere.
Two great on rails shooters you’re missing: Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles and House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return
This was a really fun watch! I recently started collecting for the Wii again and I really enjoyed seeing your collection. As always you do a great job and have similar taste to what I enjoy playing. Thanks for showcasing Klonoa! I didn't know that it received a port from the PS1. I immediately picked it up! Wii games are getting expensive!
" ... one of the best ones ever made".
Couldn't agree with MJR more talking about Kororinpa Marble Mania. An absolutely amazing game! Not to mention that's the game that got my then 5 year old nephew into video games. He quickly became obsessed and two years later he's just finished Mario Odyssey as the first game he's beaten. He had perma-grin for a solid 12 hours. I honestly had never heard of it Marble Mania before watching one of your Wii hidden gems videos. A sincere thank you MJR for helping put a smile on two faces and helping a child's imagination grow!
I got Marble Saga Koropina years ago, didn’t realize it was a sequel. Total fun, but can be quite tricky. Now I’ve gotta find Marble Mania to let the good times roll!
I worked at Toys R Us in the electronics department during the Wii boom and remember seeing tons of games that are considered hidden gems now. I remember stocking so many copies of Deadly Creatures and Mad World. A lot of games just looked like shovelware and no one ever bought them. Really wish I had the money to pick up a bunch of games back then.
Excellent video you have a lot more Wii games and I do. I always love watching your hidden gems before. Thanks
Haven't been watching your channel in a while. No reason really, just busy with life, but your channel is still awesomeness. So relaxing to watch.
Your one of my favorite classic gaming channels you got me into buying a ps2 and collecting games love your stuff dude
Metal Jesus, your videos are my Zen! Super relaxing and very entertaining! I find myself very calm and chill while watching every video! I appreciate you, dude! 🤘🏼
170??? Wow, I would never have guessed you were that much into the Wii! One of the most underrated consoles ever
What? It is one of the fastest selling consoles of all time
@@emulation2369 but it didn't sell to gamers. It sold to the casual crowd. People that would play Wii sports a couple of time a year and then forget about the console. It was never taken seriously by gamers
I was late with Wii, started collecting games when I bought WiiU just after Switch came out, have about 60-70 wii games and still finding games, your videos really helped for finding hidden gems and games I never heard of. I don't really play on it as much anymore but Iove playing Ghost Squad and Sin and Punishment every now and then.
I highly recommend picking up Conduit 2 if you get the chance. The first game is certainly generic like he said, but Conduit 2 is actually really good and worth adding to the collection.
Funny enough the Metal slug anthology was the reason I bought the wii in 2007. Good memories with that game
I hate that you have to shake the Wii remote to throw a grenade :(
@@alien_rising9895 absolutely agree! I hated that!
Twilight princess is a masterpiece.I have finished 10 LOZ games so far and TP is my favorite one by far.
I like this channel because it’s not biased on playstation only products. There’s a lot of variety in the videogame world that everybody has to experience. Lots os years and years of videogaming fun. Good job Jayson!
I'd recommend picking up The Last Story, Fortunate Street, Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World, Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers and Final Fantasy Fables Chocobo Dungeon. Extremely fun games and definitely worth the inexpensive prices they are currently going for.
You are the only CZcamsr that I can watch their videos over and over. Something so natural about your videos bro. I thank you for all of your hard work and appreciate the flow of your videos. 🍺 Cheers Mate!
I've found the Gottlieb and Williams pinball games translate very well to the Wii. With the motion control you have more control over bumping the machine without tilting so easily.
Great suggestions as always MJR. Time to pull the trigger on some of these before prices shoot up due to this vid :)
I think your channel is a lot of fun to watch! Thanks!
You don't have Link´s crossbow training?.
Its a great game.
I also love the on rail shooters that the wii had.
Donkey Kong Country Returns seems like a pretty big omission, shocked you don’t have that one already!
I still play it all the time.
Forces you to use the wiimote
just started the vid and i still play DEADLY CREATURES i love that game, we need another
I am so happy that you mentioned the Conduit games.
I personally view Conduit 2 as a special game on the system though. It is easily the best FPS on the console and had both great art direction, and weapon variety along with a cheesy yet fun to replay single player campaign. Thanks for mentioning them!
I love the wii shooters, didn't know about the Dead Space one, i'll have to pick that up! Good video!
The Wii is such an amazing console that I foolishly discounted when it was new and rediscovered much later. So many great and interesting games which are mainly cheap to buy. One of the greatest consoles ever. Great video 👍
Nice, learned a lot about the Wii catalogue.
Little King's Story is certainly my top hidden gem on the Wii.
Then you should play Moon Rpg Adventure and Lack of Love, from almost the same people.
@@Imsanthisismychannnelhi I knew about Moon and have considered picking it up a few times. I was unaware of Lack of Love. I'll have to look it up. Thanks!
Thank you MetalJesus great video
You noted a lot of my favorite Wii hidden gems. Considering the infamous vast amount of shovelware on the platform, a lot of them still remain hidden to many.
It's too bad Klonoa is so expensive now. One that's definitely on my wishlist. Always love seeing Sin & Punishment get mentioned as more people need to check it out. Great video as always!
Sin and Punishment : Star Sucessor is a true gem.
Tough yet fun game. Lived up to the N64 one as a sequel.
nice pfp
Thanks MJR always nice to see a new video from you to start relaxing on a Saturday morning ☕
Enjoy!
Playing Wii bowling with my Dad ❤ Can't bring myself to play it since he passed though 😊
About three years ago I started going hard in collecting Gamecube games I missed, then 3DS, then PS3 and Vita, I'm presently working on Wii so this video is very timely for me. The Wii is so fun to collect for given how crazy cheap most of the games are and there's lots of fun to be had.
Always enjoy your vids man. Keep up the positive energy!
Thanks! Will do!
Coolio nice collection! I will share mine soon! 🙌🏻
Hi @MetalJesusRocks, been watching for about a year or so now, love your content, you've helped me discover games I never even knew existed :) so thankyou, can you recommend a Wii Gun for these shooters games on the Wii please?
I really appreciate the massive effort you put into this!! so much gameplay shown!! wow
Ghost squad on the wii is awesome man! I love it, its a classic.
This is good timing as I've been playing Wii more lately. Never had one when they were Nintendo's active console
Thank you so much for this! Please make more videos ☺️
Finally Ghost Squad gets some Love, I remember it well, good game :)
So many great hidden gems thanks Jay for this amazing video
I always had fun with sonic riders zero gravity. The motion controls during the zero gravity turns made it a really fun racing game. The Wii version also had downloadable ghosts to race from online and you could upload your own.
And the first raving rabbids was a funny game to play with friends.
Dude where's Target Terror? That's some good cheese right there
Very rare game! I don't think he had that or Gunslingers which is another cool hard to find rails shooter.
@@tampabaytradeday786 I came to recommend Target Terror, and while I have Gunslingers, and it's decent, it's not on par with TT or Ghost Squad. TT gets some hate, but it's cheesy on purpose. For instance you can tell the hidden terrorists because they always wear sunglasses. Because only bad guys wear sunglasses haha. It's very tongue in cheek.
@@Infamouslbx Great now I'm going to have to find myself a copy and they don't come up cheap on ebay... :/
Wow, really nice collection. That was indeed a very cool console, with many fun games, especially multiplayer in unexpected genres, like Trauma Center 2, or added in the platformers from classic Nintendo series like NSMB or DKC Returns. ^_^
This is really awesome thanks for doing this Mr. Jesus Rocks luv ur Japan tour
U turned me into a big Wii n GC fan mate, so bloody cheers bud!
A very solid Wii collection you have Jason!
I missed out on the Wii's entire lifespan, however I recently purchased one. I think this is a great guide to start a collection.
Fantastic buying guide brother!
Excellent collection dude
Excellent video MJ. I appreciate the grade S editing and effort. Horns up to you sir \m/
I've taken note of a few of these games to try out in the Dolphin emulator. A lot of control remapping is to be expected cause I only use a dualshock 4 to play Wii games lol. Not too long ago I made a great ds4 config for Mario Galaxy and also Metroid Prime Trilogy. My config for Mario Galaxy can be found on Reddit. Haven't yet released the Metroid one, but I really should though.
Wow the Klonoa remake looks beautiful! Awesome vid as always
I got Deadly Creatures a few years ago because of your recommendation. It's an utterly charming game, especially for someone like me who grew up in the Sonoran desert in AZ. It reminds me of home.
Sakura Wars: So Long My Love is a hybrid Dating sim/strategy RPG set in 1920’s New York that has you fighting alongside a troupe of broadway actors - who are also mech pilots - against the forces of evil. It’s unlike any other game I’ve ever played, and the definition of a hidden gem. It’s expensive tho...
This game was so cheap for so long, and overlooked for so long. It's so good.
I need to get my Wii out now. Bought it used like 10 years ago. Sounds like a jet engine but still works great. Supposed to rain all weekend so this is perfect timing. Great video my savior! 🤘🙏
Good video! Nice Wii collection! Nintendo first party games you missing is Punxh Out Wii,Donkey Kong Country Returns and Super Mario Bros. Wii.
i find it funny you have Mad World and Deadly Creatures together in the pile, I spent a long time looking for just those two games
The Wii truly had an enormous library. I've seen games today I didn't even know existed! (I fancied myself somewhat knowledgeable on the system:P). I have a feeling Wii games might be highly collectible in the future because of the motion control, especially if Nintendo stopped doing it all together. Love the video again and cheers from Holland!
Cheers for the video. I have to say though i do miss the more social episodes with the crew. I appreciate the current climate and peoples lives evolve but thats how I feel. Loved playing ghost squad👍👍
I remember playing boom blocks with my friends so much. It's one of those games you get 4 people playing and next thing you know it is morning.
I loved Resident Evil 4 Wii edition.
A god tier port. And to think I believe it was released at only 30 dollars. One of the best Wii games especially in the first few years of the console. So good
Excellent video, I love the Wii it´s among my three favourite consoles. One game that I liked over the original was Prince of Persia Rival Swords (Two Thrones), the motion controls were pretty well adapted and they feel natural and very interactive when you attack or defend.
Some of my favorite Wii games were WiiWare exclusives, such as Mega Man 9-10, Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth, Contra Rebirth, and Gradius Rebirth. Really hope to see Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth in a future Castlevania collection!!!
Thanks Metal Jesus stay rockin'🤘
Great video as always
Amazing Wii collection!
What a bout the driver series? That was s great one too. Great selection fo games for this underrated but really fun system, thanks MJR
Yes! Saturday Coffee and metal Jesus, thanks again for your hard work brother we know how long it takes to create, edit these videos. PS - Ever thought of coming to Canada once things open in a year or two? Lots of Canadians would like to meet you (maybe an expo here?) Take care! :)
I literally thought you said Italian Wars there lol idk why it was so funny to me. Whoa! I had no idea that there were so many hard hitting games on the Wii! My mind is blown! I might have to pick one up!
Awesome collection, awesome video..
Thanks so much!
Boss your video helped me a lot .
Thank you .
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
The Wii version is fantastic.
The ending sucks though.
wasn’t it it’s own story compared to the 360/ps3 versions?
@@retrogamerfan123 Will be cool to know. I've been on a kick for games that are different versions on the Wii (or other consoles) v PS3/XB360.
@@retrogamerfan123 yes it was
@@edm5100 I've always found games that we're separate versions from other platforms quite interesting since they do have to very much build these games from the ground up fit the hardware and a lot of the time it's often with the help of another studio.
@@GenerationZ313 Agreed! Pretty cool how they push the older consoles, or completely change up the gameplay/story.
Wow this is amazing. Very cool.
1 of my favourite implementations of wii controls was in pro evolution soccer (can’t remember which year). What that game did was allowed you more control of your team than probably any other soccer game I’ve played before or since. 1 of the best things was you could grab a player who didn’t have the ball, point to where he should run to and the player with the ball would try to pass to that location. In other games you have a “through ball” option, but the system decides where that to aim the ball and possibly even which player is the target.
Excite Truck & Excite Bots were two of the best racers on Wii
True, but that motion control spin around the bar mechanic is ridiculous. Dump that, add Wii Pro Controller support and you’d have a great racing games. All Wii racers should have Wii Pro Controller support. They did it for Mario Kart Wii and it handles so much better than the often vague motion controls. ⚙️
@@xyrzmxyzptlk1186 Dude! You are right. The motion stuff around the bar every lap is the biggest flaw of ExciteBots otherwise being a perfect game. For that I favor Excite Truck if I had to pick just one. I would kill for a remaster or sequel .
