    LOL! You are right, I'm a retired helicopter mechanic and yes, I'm not confidence enough to tackle small electronics components and projects.

    I'm running into a similar issue now. I purchased a node from someone and I'm told when I transmit I have a background buzzing noise. My guess is ground problem. I have not taken the radio apart yet. I want to get new hardware in place before I do so. I'm fairly confident I can fix it once I crack it open. It's glued closed so I don't want to do it until I know I have another in place. Buyer beware I suppose.

      It's a sad situation for sure. Glue has NO place in radio!!! If your radio has to be glued together to work, something is wrong!!! Sorry to hear about your misfortune. If you need any help feel free to email me and I will help any way I can!

    Are these obtained from the youtuber named The End? If so, is project dead or are you taking over?

    I had some of these radios I'm not going to use every single one of them is 5 khz low in frequency Surfer going to use these you better watch out for frequency drift raw frequency from the factory but I think it's drifted that much

      Out of 100 radios, I have had 5 do that and it is all because of that little tuning pot on the bottom left of the board. If you touch it, it's done.

    Can a Raspberry Pi 2 or 4 be used ?

    • @daneoctane
      @daneoctane  Před 2 lety

      Sure can although a pi 4 is way overkill. Pi2 will work but we recommend a pi 3a+ or pi 3b+.

      @@Cobra_29_With_Echo unfortunately I don't sell a parts kit however that isn't a bad idea. you can totally build one yourself! There are tons of write ups online.
