I’m so glad I found this video on CZcams. I’ve been trying to figure out how to use the “ Ride with GPS “app. I didn’t know how to “navigate to start”. This feature will make using the app a lot more enjoyable.

Nice Video! I have also found this to be the perfect M/C GPS app! No need for a windows computer or a Mac, a Chromebook works great with the send to phone option. Recently moved from Chicagoland to the PNW, it is a great tool for exploring the area. Fun to see some of my favorite riding ares in your video.
Thanks for that observation, John! We forgot to consider/mention how it's purely a web interface by design which eliminates any platform-specific hiccups, really. I have the Club Version of Ride with GPS, and have created 17 scenic loops in my area. My issue is in regards to pre-testing the rides with the voice cues activated, to make sure all is correct. Unless I misunderstand, there is no way to do this without being at the actual site and navigating the actual route. Do you have thoughts on this?
RWGPS gathers information from a variety of external sources. What information is made available to us as riders and them as a map building resource changes with time. Sometimes those changes are for the better and sometimes not.
So, despite the fact that their platform is the most stable we've seen, live traffic updates, road closures and freak weather don't appear to be on the menu as of yet.
With that, the age old "scouting run" is still a mandatory go to for proof of concept.
Does this sync to strava ?
What's the diff between the paid and the free version ?
According to the RWGPS site, yes: ridewithgps.com/help/connect-with-strava
As for paid vs. free, paid comes with turn-by-turn directions, custom waypoints and a slew of other features. We use it extensively.
Can I change miles to km?
Yes. Yes you can.
Is this feature free to use?
This feature requires a subscription. $50 annual for their "basic yearly" plan.
