I have a black, aluminium Bugout with a stonewash blade and it's a humdinger, bell-ringer, joy-bringer, funky-reggae-singer. I like Shabazz, he has his own way of looking upon the world. It takes all sorts for a rounded world.

LOVE winter so much.....anyways.... you did a great job!!!! Well freaking done!!!!!! The bugout was fun when it came out because there is so much aftermarket stuff for them!!!!!
My M4 from Spyderco came with a brittle and chippy edge too, once I sharpened it once it was a million times better! I wonder if that’s just common for that steel. GREAT review, Erica!!!!
Great review! Benchmade bugout is awesome. It's an excellent knife. I have ten different Benchmade bugout knifes. The carbon fiber is my favorite version.

Just got into knives and the Bugout CF elite was my first knife and I just put the Flytanium crossfade titanium scales on it and it feels so much better and a lot more substantial. 2nd knife is a civivi Altus and I love the action on that knife a lot more compared to the Bugout but the Bugout is still my favorite
You're the first person I ever saw that said "I like FRN scales", haha. I also like them BUT decided to support RGT and get their scales for my Bugout. The Grivory really isn't bad like everyone says though.
You should look into showcasing a Vosteed Nightshade; It's one of the newest "flavor of the month" knives and what's really compelling about it is the blade shape. The blade has this downward tilt to it that makes it so the point of the blade is always pointing towards what you are cutting no matter what grip you hold it in. Many other reviewers give it a glowing reviews but nobody has hard used it yet. The blade is M390 at a $129 price point (can good M390 be found that cheap?) and the handle material is black Micarta with either copper or brass bolsters so they can patina with use. It may be one of those knives that looks better with use because of the bolster choice. It may be worth looking into if you don't have your next knife picked out for April, May or whenever.
I was living in a tree when I first bought a bugout and I didn’t like the handle scales and then in the first week or so two screws fell out of it so I didn’t use it for a few years and then last month I ordered screws and some jade g10 scales and an aftermarket emerson wave opener so it matches my 940 and now it’s one slick chevy. I really did not like the bugout but now it’s in my rotation and I like it a lot. The axis lock is the best lock that I’ve tried with the emerson wave.
Love my bugout and have no problem with the stock scales, but could understand.If you like it you might want to try a hogue deka. G10 and 20cv for the same price. But different blade shape that isn’t quite as nice as the bugout. But I went with the wharncliffe and really really like it. Also gfn and magna cut available soon if you prefer. Curious to see how you would like and compare them. Also dogs just add to the videos… but I am a dog person.
They seem to show wear pretty easy, so that's disappointing, but I like them. Interested in them. I see they make a type lll hardcoat that's supposed to be a even stronger finish, but not as many color options. Not sure how long that stuff lasts either. I'm torn. I did stonewash my black bugout blade, so maybe after some wear on the scales it would look neat too.

I have the Benchmade super freak in M4 with coated blade and it’s my favorite so far I have the original Bugout in s30v blue grivery I have the 940 in s30v also then I have the spyderco PM2 in S45vn and that thing is very slicey. Any of those are fantastic knives. Pricy but great blades.

Those scales on the mini Bugout make it more carryable. = Weighs more and it’s just slightly longer.

The 940 is the only knife that I’ve had that lasts you can work with it it is a tool

It’s a good little knife but your hard use and my hard use are different because I broke the last quarter inch off the tip. Back to the 940
