great job
You have to go to Ghana one day. Cudjoe is a Ghanaian name.
Wear a hat next time to keep the sun off.
Rocheline next time you are in the states you have to get a DNA kit to see your admixture. Most Jamaicans are a mixture of Congolese and others.
Good morning Rochielin. What happened to the video uploaded yesterday? I'm almost sure I watched it...was I dreaming?....i know I was asleep but...i think I woke up and saw the upload with little Princess...what a dream. This no be joke ohhh. Hey!!!. Tufiakwa!!! What kin sleep be this one... a whole me...dreaming.. heyyyy!!! Ah Ah. How come???
This is a very good expose... big up the camera person they have been walking backwards on VERY challenging terrain!!
Rochelin, the community looks so well cared for. Wonderful interview.
THIS warms my heart to see my fellow countyman share their side of their culture. I hope this side of the country won't be sold off to foreigners like so many parts of the island. It's amazingly informative and it would so much more educational to keep learning more about the island's people. Just brilliant
That Andrew wa do but Currie a stand up so him a get backlash and fight. This land is very rich
Stuff to your family
Very informative. Can Chief Curry think of producing turmeric, ginger, and most of what’s being grown for export.....turmeric is widely sought after and is pretty expensive. That would generate revenue to build the infrastructure of Maroon Town. Love your channel Rochielin, and admire you as a young lady making great strides. God bless you🙏🏽
I would second what you have written. 👏🏾👏🏾
it only right chief CURRY produce TURMERIC!! 👨🏿🍳😂😂
Rochelle u are so intelligent n smart I enjoy watching u
I would love to live there the place is so beautiful,Cheif Curry big up yourself.
GOOD IDEA
You and Mr Curry make a great combination. Carryon Rochielin
Great reporting!!:)
Outstanding documentary! Breath taking interview! Blessings to all maroons in the entire world!
Well done Rochielin! 🇯🇲 🇨🇦
This was such a pleasure to watch. I remember when I was a little girl my great grandma told me I am a Maroon and I should be proud and never forget. No one in my family talks about it nor have any knowledge. But I am going to change that. I have decided to learn my roots and pass it on to my daughter even though I love in the states and my child is American, I will make this one of my life goals. Thank you for this and I wish Chief Curry much success.
Rochielin, I am immencely satisfied watching this video. I left Jamaica over three decades ago so it's good to be learning so much about my homeland. Chief Currie you are an inspiration. So well spoken as well. Blessings to you all.
Next group to interview would be "Germans of Germantown " in Westmoreland
I am simply amazed at how well kept the town is and so breath taking, wow!!!! Why all of Jamaica couldn't be so clean, organized and well kept? Smh I really which all of Jamaica was like this! I would definitely live there, the fresh air & the lusciousness 😍 Omg. Anyhow this is & always has been on my bucket list & will definitely try harder to make it happen. Wonderful video & interview 👏🏾 Very much informative 👍🏾

Living in the USA made me appreciate the maroon people more than ever,I met nanny in my dreams a few times and seeing the legacy she left behind,am in awe of her
I would love to dream the great Granny Nanny.
Please stop calling them maroon answer this what were they call before the slaves Master say they run away and maroon in the hills that is what the word maroon mean
@@keithmaxwell6941 but that is what they call themselves, the chief himself says they are maroons but you made an interesting point. They shouldn't.
I've learned more about the maroon in this one video than I was taught throughout school.
Rochelin why I think you and chief Curry would be a beautiful combination! 😉😉

Love your blogs, very educational.
I let the commercials play on this channel because I want to make sure to support Rochielin. Here's why; She is doing far more to help the people as one individual than any po-lie-tician I ever will.
This is the way to go rather than voting people into offices and tying up their hands with political ropes and enticing them with power and money. This young lady is ambassador of love and kindness and is truly out to see everyone thrive no matter their location. Thank you Rochielin for doing things Yah's way!
This is a very good one, must watch

Thanks for the suggestion, I was actually considering that. You guys would need to send the other questions that you’d like me to ask… Thanks also for the compliment and the journalism suggestion , appreciate it.
great video!!!
Thanks Rochielin and Chief Currie. I love learning bout my Jamaica history. Many of us have Maroon blood even if we were not born in any of the Maroon town. My mom talk about powerful ancestors from there and that there are light skin maroons.
I remember the first person who moved into my community from Maroon town. They were beautiful and black as midnight. We were so excited to have them and could not wait to make friends with them. We really wanted to know if they could really cook without fire.
I love the Maroon history and proud of what the ones in Jamaica accomplished.
Great
Great comment. There are Maroons in the hills of Clarendon, hills of St Ann, hills of Manchester, hills of Trelawny & hills of St James.(Cockpit country is 6 parishes) Cudjoe first lived on Beckford Plantation in Bull Head mountain area Clarendon. He started the revolt, plantation burned to the ground, Some of the enslved Africans fled down with him into Manchester and St Elizabeth. Some went into the foothills of the Bull Head mountain where I'm from. Accompong was Cudjoes brother. Village named after him. There's a statue of Cudjoe in Chapelton Town square, Clarendon..
There is African blood, not moroon. They were called maroons because of their combative behavior, not because of ethnicity
Very good interview
OMG! Rochelin we need Part 3 right now. This is so good. Please be sure to ask Chief his attachment status. This is so enjoyable to watch.
