    To unlock the speed limiter on the widewheeel you press the break, the acceleration and the button together for 3 seconds. it may be a bit hard until you make it just the red light is on there is no limit" and no "kick and go" to start the scooter movement.

    Wide wheels will be standard in near future,definitely on my list

  • @Freddie44utube

    The WideWheel is a fine machine it will monster any hill in my area. It’s acceleration is amazing the top speed is 25mph (it doesn’t slow down on hills like my other scooter) it’s very stable I feel comfortable to check over the shoulder or ride drains (with out the fear of some other scooters) the suspension was quite stiff when I first got it but it’s softened up with use and is perfectly balanced..
    The range is incredible I have done 20miles flat out on power mode, I’m 13 1/4 stone and live in a very hilly area... I’m sure in eco mode and kept on the flat the claimed some have made of 30 miles is possible.... It’s fast enough in traffic not to annoy car drivers like the slower models do (only been hooted once) the issue with the lack of dash is a non issue in my opinion, I have no interest in knowing how fast or far (if you do you can use a phone app) the simplicity of the design is brilliant the battery status is something you need to know if the range is limited this has not been a problem it’s gone anywhere I need to I even took it ten miles up an old railway walk the tracks are gone but it coped with the dirt track easily... only negative really is the 0 to 25 mph in a Nano Second can wear out the shoulders muscles.. I understand the 2019 models throttle acceleration is much smoother... huge shout out to Peter # Fluid Free Rides customer service as it should be

    • @Freddie44utube
      @Freddie44utube Před 5 lety +1

      ISIDRO MENDIONDO I’ve ridden mine home on one motor and it was pretty average the whole point of the twin motor is its ability to keep up in traffic and climb any hill it’s worth the extra 100 bucks

    • @isidromendiondo293
      @isidromendiondo293 Před 5 lety

      A thousand thanks! Is the handlebar height adjustable? im 6.5

    • @Freddie44utube
      @Freddie44utube Před 5 lety

      ISIDRO MENDIONDO no it’s fixed at 43 inches (I think) which is the exact height I had my ecoreco adjusted to so for me it’s spot on!
      Thinking about you earlier comment about the single motor version the 1000watt version is ridiculously fast away from a standstill almost aggressive, I have wondered if a single motor one would be a little gentler and better to cruise on..!
      Where I live I’m at the top of the biggest hill in my city and I’m disabled so I need the hill climbing torque.
      Btw if you have a twin motor version it’s possible and very simple to replace the front motor with a wheel (the motor simple unplugs externally)

    • @JoeyBallzMcBigMe
      @JoeyBallzMcBigMe Před 5 lety +1

      Regen brakes on scooters are not great. The moment you let go of the throttle it slows down and you can't Cruise.

    • @TurreTuntematon
      @TurreTuntematon Před 5 lety +2

      JoeyBallzMcBigMe That’s incorrect. Regen does not start braking before you press the brake handle. That’s how it’s implemented in several scooters including the Zoom Stryder that I have. It’s great.

    • @JoeyBallzMcBigMe
      @JoeyBallzMcBigMe Před 5 lety

      @@TurreTuntematon The zero 10x does that with the brake regen option on. How is the zoom stryder? Performance wise?

    • @TurreTuntematon
      @TurreTuntematon Před 5 lety +1

      JoeyBallzMcBigMe Zoom Stryder is not as powerful as the Zero for sure. It’s however probably the most powerful in relation to its size/weight. I use it for commuting and it’s great in trains and buses as it folds to a very small size and is pretty light. Goes 30km/h, range is about 25km and the front wheel is strong enough uphill (I’m 85kg). The motor is 600 watts. Charging time is only 2-3 hours, which is great.

    • @finophile
      @finophile Před 5 lety

      but regen also generates heat in the stator coils, so you have heat happening under power then heat happening under braking ... recipie for bun out if you ask me. Personally I'd rather just have another disc and not fluff with regen - its not like its going to return any significant charge (unless you ride down a mountain range)

    Hey man, nice video! Not sure if you’ve tested the range but how would you say it compares to the claimed 20-30 miles from the spec sheet? Does the power and torque fall off a lot near the end battery life?

    • @Freddie44utube
      @Freddie44utube Před 5 lety

      Billy Lee I’ve got the13.2amp hour twin motor widewheel on my other scooter Ecoreco claim 20 miles range but I found 10 was more realistic and I ride to avoid hills as they suck power and range! With the wide wheel in eco mode riding on the flat I’m sure 30 miles is possible I can tell you it will pull 20 miles no trouble I’m 13 stone and ride every where flat out and my area ids full of hills I don’t worry about range or power anymore as it will go where i need and deal with any hill easily.... the suspension soften up with use

      When you say the speed is "nuts", how many mph would that be?......kph will suffice, if you so desire. And is that an increase in acceleration off the line, an increased top end velocity or both?.......just curious.

    I noticed you stated that it is not intended for off-road. I was wondering how you think it would handle loose gravel. I will primarily use my scooter on greenways and rail-trails and some of them do have a fair amount of gravel.

    • @finophile
      @finophile Před 5 lety +1

      I can say its quite touchy on gravel. If you have much experience with dirt bikes you'll be stunned firstly at how much steering torque reaction there is when you're not straight AND remember how small those wheels are compared to any rocks. I hit a small rock doing a turn and that was enough to have the front motor loose grip and when that gives way it slides out fast from under you ... I'd say this is a problem with all front drive scooters and I'd double down on its not for off road because those wide wheels float on the gravel (not bite down and through it)
