- Mercane Widewheel is a fantastic electric scooter but changing the settings can be a bit tricky. Check out this video to learn how to:
1. Change between eco and full speed mode
2. Turn on and off "kick and go"
3. Turn on and off the fastest speed setting, known as Ludicrous Mode

Hi, I follow the instructions and work flawless with my Widewheel Dual 2019. It stay with the eco mode (25 kph límit) and the Ludicrous mode (40+ kph) with kick and go. 😊
Great video, thank you so much 👍🏼
hey Apollo scooters, my merccane is only going 10-15km, before it had fast all of a sudden acceleration and its speed before it went to 15 was around like 30-35km, how do I set it back to that?
If you are having problems getting into ludicrous mode, make sure you have it set to power mode first in the regular settings, (red, white white, off) and then got to the advance settings and set it to ludicrous (red light only). Thats what I found out on mine anyway.
I can’t get the ludicrous mode any more. Is there a way to override and keep in that setting with out trying ove rand over to get it in. Cause it won’t work anymore even when I get the slow blink and set it at red and first white. ? Any suggestions or remedies? Thanks🙏🏼
Great video production
Great vid
Thinking about getting one and this will def help.
Though the most "ludicrous" part about this scooter is the fact that it has no speedometer whatsoever. I'd gladly take that over a voltage meter.
Completely agree - but then again, at 45km/h, you don't have much time to look down at the speedometer ;-). But yes, you're right!
@@ApolloScooters it's cool they got my money anyway
I bought a Horizon lol
For some reason my scooter wont turn to only the red light. Could there be a hardware restrictor in it? I live Switzerland.
After unlocking, what’s the battery drains faster ??
Hi,
I overcharged the bike, now it is not turning on. Do you know what to do?/Thanks
hello, thanx for your video, i was playng around the mercane and ( I don't know how) i could set the function " auto cruise" that was really amazing in combination with the Ludicrous mode, unfortunately after i charged it it returned in a normal mode. Do you know i can set it back ? thanx
Hi there! Thanks for reaching out :-).For cruise control: Hold the middle button down (only middle) for 1.5s, when flashing, just hold the brake lever back and give the throttle one acceleration (you'll see the last white light on your dashboard light up) = cruise control is on. Your Mercane will sometimes switch back to default mode when the battery is under 30% - its unfortunately just an automatic process. Here to help if you need anything else :-)!
@@ApolloScooters grazie!!
Hi will this work with single motor also?
Hi thank you very much for such a very useful video.
I am an electric scooter enthusiast from Malaga Spain. Proud and happy owner of a RUIMA MINI4 PRO and also a ZERO 9.
I am seriously considering the purchase of the MERCANE dual motor.
Can you tell me the real range in that ludicrous mode please?
And also, maximum real speed in kilometers per hour?
I really appreciate your help.
Thank you very much and kind regards.
Javier Gámez.
Wide Wheel is slower than Ruima max speed 37-40 km/h
A newbi here just a quick question is it ludicrous to remove the kickandgo as I don't think I can use it if I'm trying to climb up to my house with a 20°, 3 klm road.
Or in other words, could I use the kick and go on a steep hill?
Hi Mauricio - thanks for reaching out! Yes you can definitely use the kick and go on a steep hill - keep in mind, removing kick and go will really drain your battery by up to 30% (just to let you know).
Hey apollo scooters, is there any way to get off ludicrous mode?
Thanks for sharing. Question, I want the ludicrous and kick and go mode which is the red and one white. How do I lock it at this mode?
Hi Junior, thanks for your comment! You just keep you finger on the button for one second to lock it in, and then ensure that your normal mode is in power (without pushing the break and accelerator, push the button for one second and choose the 2 white dots). *When you Mercane battery goes below 50%/30%, the mode sometimes automatically goes back to eco!
Thanks and enjoy :-)
Junior Jr to lock in the chosen mode hold the power button again for two seconds
I think that the others have missed your point, that you find it defaults back to being "standard" on occasions right?
If that's you question then I am afraid that you can't. Simply put there seems to be a "fault" with the controller that sometimes it just reverts back to even Eco and no Cruise Control as well ... I just accept this and move on
@@finophile Agreed - its a system issue and can happen! That's why its best to just take 10 minutes to remember the settings, and be able to revert back to this power mode whenever the scooter shifts back!
finophile Great Point. I just bought a Mercane wide wheel and at first had trouble unlocking it for 25mph. On the home screen, it must show one red and two white dots before you can unlock the Ludacrious mode. Mercane should have made that clearer.
I’m wondering how fast it will go in ludicrous mode? Is it the same 25mph or faster? Thx
Hi Paul, the top speed we've managed to push it to was about 40KM/H so roughly 25 MPH
Every light is lit every time i turn it on and the only mode i have is i guess the fastest with no kick n go just every light lit and top speed. What do I do
all light on when you turn it on is normal... as to do with battery level... not mode... gotta hold 1sec to enter... then 1sec to get out... and back to battery... also they make that confusing (not really mercane's fault but the way people like this channel explain it) but... COMPLETELY forget 1st (red) and 4th light... 2nd is about kickstart... 3rd about eco.. you want them>>on / you dont>>off... thats it. (theres no pattern to remember, only 2 light... on or off)
It resets every time I turn it off how do u keep it unlocked ?
Turn off the computer before turning it off with the key.
I don’t have that problem
I’m not sure is it goes over 26Mph with the Red LED only mode.
I followed your instructions , the only red light left , I turned it off by the key and then it on again, four lights on, but still need kick and go, and the speed limiter still there.
Do you use a smart charger for the battery?
Hi Viet - thanks for reaching out! Yes, the Mercane has a smart charger for safety of course. It automatically cuts the current at 100% to prevent overcharging the battery - hence why we always recommend to ensure you purchase an original Mercane and not a copy or one off Aliexpress, as a copy charger can be incredibly dangerous/ a fire hazard.
Here to help if you need anything else :-)!
For mine works only pressing the brake
I just got mine but I can't select eco mode. It goes to power mode 2 solid lights only.
@@ApolloScooters it goes straight to full power mode 1 red 2 whites
@@ultimateone624 I think you are mistaking the "distance display" ... not the mode selection
@@ultimateone624 Are you still facing this issue? Email us at info@apollomvmt.com and I'll send you a rendering of how to do it easier :-).
@@ApolloScooters Yes
One note on how to get into the menu. Hold the brake, hold the throttle, press the button for two seconds then let go of the button only. Let go of the throttle and brake after letting go of the button. Don't let go of all 3 at the same time. He does it very quickly in this video and it's hard to tell.
Hi Chris, are you located in Montréal?
Hi Michelangelo - yes we are, 3700 Saint Patrick :-)!
@@apolloscooters9429 ,thank You Patrick for the info.😀
If you're on ludicrous mode, is it just a solid red light ?
Yes correct, just one red light flashing and no white :-).
@@ApolloScooters I got it to flash a single red with no whites but when I hit/hold the button to keep it on the red it jumps to the red and white lights again. It wont seem to stay a single red...any suggestions?
@@chardo6 and you're sure that you're doing the 2 different ways?
(1) Hold just the middle button for 2s: put one red and 2 white for power mode
(2) Hold the brake + middle button + accelerator: click until you get just the single red (no white) = ludicrous
You're doing those both?
@@ApolloScooters I think I was just confused. Whatever mode you're on...eco..power...ludacris, it will always go back to 1 red and 3 solid white lights while riding (assuming this means its fully charged and not in cruise control) I thought even while riding it needed just 1 red light and nothing else.
After my first day with the Widewheel I realized that this has the voltage meter but no information on the manual.
Now I found this Image to understand the voltage information and mine of 48v has reached the 100% with the exact 54.6 volts as stated in the image
drive.google.com/folderview?id=1imkjeKqJBwKyUIDmpEshui9ghjJWYzTM
Correct - top battery is 54.6V and lowest is 41V :-)!
Don’t buy this scooter ! Brakes will fail and you’ll have to buy new ones
Hey Doggy - hence the importance of buying from a supplier that quality checks the brakes/motor and battery before purchase! Super important, especially for the 2019 model (single brake)! Hope you're safe!
