  • The Wide Wheel is a new experience. It handles a bit different than your typical scooter but once you get use to it.. good times follow. Review shows speed, range, acceleration and hill test. I take you along for the ride and let you know exactly what you can expect.

    Just got mine! Been commuting to work 10 miles each way (recharge the battery at work). It's a dream. Flies through the city. If you're thinking about getting one, get it!

    I bought one after a whole lot of comparison shopping and alot of research. This and the Jetson bolt were two of my best purchases in life. You can't go wrong with both.

    Fluid now sends you an upgraded thumb throttle with your WWP purchase. Something that wasn't mentioned is how stable it is at very slow speeds of around 4 to 6 mph. Great for making my way through the busy mall parking lot near me.

    Picked mine up yesterday. Love it, unlocked ludicrous mode and reached 44kmh.
    I enjoy leaning the scooter to turn, probably comes from riding motorcycles.

    I had one for a couple years. A+ for power and coolness factor. C- for driveability and comfort. The thin rubber tires look cool, but if you hit anything taller than a a half deck of cards on the edge of the wheels, they bend. I had to replace 3 of the 4 wheel halves, and it was not an easy job. Also the throttle has a huge delay , and is very surgey when hitting even the smallest bumps. Ride one before you buy if you can.

    • @ElectricRevolution
      @ElectricRevolution  Před 2 lety +3

      Good assessment. It really needs air suspension with those types of tires lol

    Great review, just ordered mine. Those wide tires provide stability at high speed but at the cost of turning. Good trade off, just slow down for those sharp corners.

      I'm hoping they'll make a more rounded corner friendly tyre to replace the standard straight liners with ? How about it mercane ? Up to the challenge?

  • @2011thekaj
    @2011thekaj Před 3 lety +2

    The wheels are designed so when you turn , you lean over with the scooter.. use the width of the tyre. More so at higher speeds but it works slow too and you get no vibration..

    Purchase our wide wheel pro dual motors 12 months back - awesome!! Love the look , super quick off the mark. Only complaints (1) way too sensitive throttle control! , more like a button, either on /off, resulting in super jerky ride in slow crowd moving situations, Also the fold down handle bars are never 100% secure. Easy to forgive this , easy to recommend . A couple of small upgrades and they will have nailed it.

    • @reitsmaassociates

    I've been waiting for you to review this! I saw this on the site and was immediately drawn to it. I figured that the wider wheels might make it easier to ride because it might be more stable. Is that the case? How would this deal with easy dirt trails with the wheel and brake design? Those discs are really close to the ground.

    • @ElectricRevolution
      @ElectricRevolution  Před 3 lety +3

      Yeah it's a pretty cool looking scooter for sure! It's super stable when going straight, on the turns it starts to vibrate a little and pulls a little in the opposite direction, it took me a few miles to get use to it but it's not that bad just handles different than a skinny tired scooter

    Add some proper suspension, some proper tyres and some proper speed controllers (higher top speed), and a proper width deck, and it would be awseome.

  • @Frostorm777
    @Frostorm777 Před 11 měsíci +1

    *I remember I had this scooter for a little bit before selling it. I loved the features, but the ride quality was horrible. You can feel every bump and I couldn’t go into turbo mode because every time I breaked, I would slide a bit and that’s due to the lack of traction on the tires. Foam filled tires with no tread, not a good idea…

      @@ElectricRevolution yup people don't realize with a front powered flat wheel once you hit a crack or bump in the sidewalk that might not be so noticable you just need the wheel to leave contact with the ground for a few seconds with no resistance that wheel speeds up before making contact again then kicks left or right.

    There's a reason no other scooter has these wide tires. they're hard to turn and not as nimble and don't provide as good a ride. They need to make a regular tire version of this scooter.
