    You can also make a tasty tea out of the lemongrass. Pour boiling water into a mug, add in the center bit of the lemongrass, and let it sit for a bit.

    I try to avoid using the microwave unnecessarily-- but running the lime under hot water will also yield more juice! Xx

    yes microwaving increases the among of juice you can extract by about 200%

    I've tried microwaving the lime and it worked pretty well. But I also rolled it afterwords soo...yeah. but hey, I got the juice! ☺️

    How did you think of toasting the rice? It looks sooo yummy and crunchy. I have to wake up early tomorrow but i cant stop watching your videos!!! I love your asian style recipes. Im making this tomorrow with the singapore noodle.

      I had it when I was traveling in Thailand it's such a great idea and a cheap way of getting more flavour in there! :)

    I used a spoon and put in the middle of the lime and keep turning it while pressing against the mid center of the line. Usually gets me a lot of juice

    I microwave my limes.
    If you do it for too long, they get too juicy and hot, they start to leak hot juice on you, which can burn... But I only microwave mine for about 5-10 seconds, sometimes a little more if they were cold to start or really big limes (less if you have a very powerful microwave) It's not enough to make them hot (or even warm) but it does help make them juicer :)

    How well would it work, if you replaced the steak for ground chuck or ground sirloin and maybe mixed with some ground pork? I'm just wondering, since I'm entering a contest and you have to make two separate recipes, one with chicken and one with ground beef.

    nice recepie ... about passing a lime in microwave ..only 15 sec at 600 w is efficient to spread the juice and doesn't warm it ;)

    If you really want to get the most juice out of your citrus, take the end of a fork or knife, place it in the middle of the flesh, and squeeze into that. It makes getting all the juice out WAY easier.

    microwaving the lime actually works hahaha I tried once and you really get double the amount of juice you would get if you'd just squeeze it, and it doesn't make it hot hahahaha

    yes, microwaving lemons or limes for a short time 15-20 sec def makes juicing EASIER. I roll both before and after zapping them. not sure if it actually produces MORE juice... but I've always done it that way

    Microwaving genuinely works amazingly with any citrus fruits. Only for 10 secs max tho xx

    Microwaving works. I've only tried it with lemons, but lime should work just fine too :) Just a few secs in there, tho. Gets much more juice out.

      yes you could for saltiness but its quite a different flavour.
