    I LOVE the flexx brush! I went from the wet brush to the tangle teezer ultimate brush to the flexx brush and I am never going back. I got rid of ALL wet brushes, and I only use tangle teezer ultimate brush and flexx brush. I paid $8 plus shipping for my flexx brush and got it at house of beauty. I swear by the wavy (wide tooth comb) I have the same one as you Lori! Thanks So much ladies!

    I don’t use a denman brush or styling brush for my curls. I find it does the opposite of clumping, it poofs up my hair and destroys my curl pattern ugh! I bought that tangle teezer at Ulta and love it to detangle, I get less shedding and it detangles way faster. They come in a variety of different colors now. ❤️

      106andie interesting do you continue to brush it through with a lot of leavein / cream before gel - I do it till my hair is totally smooth - Linda like Ta does in this video

      @MADCURLS  Před 5 lety +2

      I found I used the denman brush more when I was transitioning. Once my hair was fully healthy and I had my curl pattern I also found that the denman brush distorts my curls into a pattern I don’t want. It never looks right so I don’t use it to style anymore. But for someone struggling with a consistent pattern, it does help with that.. -TA

    I keep hearing that the Denman is not for detangling. I'm also glad I heard about the tangle teaser on here because people be swearing by it but I feel people are not that intune with whether it causes breakage over time.

    Denman / curl defining brushes help smooth the cuticle - stopping frizz - I honestly don’t use it for the curl, because I still take my fingers through immediately after use the brush. The smoothing is key for my prefect frizz free wash and go. 3c/4a hair

    I have short hair a little longer than Lori Anne’s and I LOVE that pink tangle teezer. So much so, that I have one in the shower and one in my vanity. It’s great for detangling and creating definition. I seriously loose little hair when my hair is feeling and looking crazy. Great video ladies, as always! ♥️

    I’m a finger detangling gal only. I bought the pink tangle teezer brush cause of you Taylor because you raved about it but then i returned it because i felt like it was snapping my hair and losing more strands than necessary. I have the denman brush and i used to use it to detangle and i had the same issue. Then i heard somewhere that the denman is not a detangling tool and its just meant to style your hair meaning it should already be detangled before you use it. ➰➰

    • @MADCURLS
      @MADCURLS  Před 5 lety

      Yes, the denman brush definitely isn’t a detangler, I wouldn’t use it for that. The tangle teezer is hit or miss with people. I love it, but I know some feel it snags the hair. I love my flex brush sooo much more for detangling, there is more give. -TA

    I have the tangle teaser, I don't use it much since my hair is short, I detangle with my fingers during cleansing. I also have a denman brush, but don't use that much either. I do use my 3 row denman comb to make sure my styling products have been evenly distributed since I always miss something in the back of my hair.

    I love you two toasted marshmallows!!
    The two I love most is for comb: the cricket ultra smooth coconut detangling comb at Sally’s, and for brush: the Kareco Tangle buster flexible paddle brush at Walmart it’s amazing Taylor I think you would love it because it’s like the first brush you showed in design with the breathable brush layer too that water can go through. It moves with your curls so when it hits tangles it eases through them rather than ripping them out.
    Tangle teaser never worked good for Jilani’s hair, it rips her hair and causes breakage but she’s a true type 4 texture. Denman shrinks my daughters hair up even worse than Lori’s it’s nuts !!

    First of all the tans are looking bee-you-tee-full!!
    Thankfully I don't have to deal w/ tangles, my hair just doesn't tangle (if you ever meet me in person, that's my super human trick and I'll show you on the spot! Lol) I do however use a brush to style my hair but what I use is a round brush (FYI the core is metal), like one you would use to blow dry your hair. I prefer it only bcz while I'm applying my products my hands are slippery and I can't be worrying about which direction the bristles are facing when I put the brush to my hair! I've tried straight brushes, paddles brushes, etc but I've been using a round brush for years & years and it just works for me. I rec'd a Denman-type brush in a Curl Box recently but haven't tried it yet. It's still in the plastic.

  • @missmemssme
    @missmemssme Před 5 lety

    To me, the 9 row denman separates more, so it defines each curl to the maximum. The 7 row has a bit more space so the clumps are bigger. With more hair in each clump, the weight of each curl prevents a bit of the shrinkage in the 9 row. Both are good for their purpose. I’d like to see you all try the Felicia Leatherwood brush someday. I’ve eyed it but never bought it.

    The curl keeper flexy brush is the GOAT!!! I’m currently detangling my hair with it coming from a 7 day wash n go. It’s so easy to detangle my hair I don’t even need to use conditioner or anything, I just saturate my hair with warm water and the brush just glides through with ease. I used to use a wide tooth comb to detangle but I found I was losing too much hair & it wasn’t gentle enough on my hair. I got mine on sale when LexiMarcella had a coupon code with them and got it at a decent price. It’s well worth the money for me simply because it saves me a lot of time and hair on wash day. The denman 9 row brush is the GOAT of all styling brushes!!! I always use it after I apply my styler. My hair is pretty long & the denman helps my curls pop back up. It accentuates my curls & gives me the most beautiful, clumped, curls & coils. No wash n go is complete without my denman & that’s on period! ❤️
