- Gather ‘round this week as I give a heartbreaking update on the Harry Styles’ movie premiere, explain what kind of bride I’m going to be at my upcoming bachelorette party, and embarrass myself by reading a journal of mine from 2009 for show and tell. You’ll see if 29 year old Kelsey is at all similar to 15 year old Kelsey. We also have some different topics in story time and I give my harsh truth about breakfast during journal time.

im in a long distance too, it hurts so much to drop him off at the airport. i feel the same sometimes but then i realize, alone time is much needed. one day you might wish you can have a whole day just to yourself, enjoy the moment while you have it!!!💓
for the kittens!! wet food is the best!! since they're kittens i would honestly recommend feeding them 3 times a day if you're able, and keep them on a consistent schedule so they know when to expect food and you can google their weight and age to see how many calories they should be eating a day.
with them eating your food, there's nothing you can really do other than just place them on the floor every time they try and NEVER give them any food off your plate!! remember they're still babies so they have LOTS of energy so if you play with them they'll calm down and be tired.
free feeding cats dry food is linked to more stress and obesity so timed wet food feeding is best.

Ngl that last quote had me in a puddle of tears. I lost my cousin a month ago and the only gift he gave me was a Horton Hears a Who book by Dr. Seuss. I had the honor of putting that book in his casket before they buried him. Ever since I’ve been seeing Dr. Seuss related things everywhere. It reminds me that he’s still around, Thank you Kelsey.
For the kittens, I would say put them in another room when you eat, maybe also feed them when you do this. So before you start cooking or eating: feed them in another room and close the door, don't let them out until you finished your food. It's a pain, but after a month or so they should learn. It's also useful to use an automatic feeder so they don't associate you with food at all. A less conventional method some people do: let them smell something from your plate cats hate: like pickles, or something spicy. Eventually they'll think your food sucks and leave you alone 😅
omg the sausage chant...that just unlocked a buried memory lol. when i was in high school, this one specific table of boys started that chant up for like two weeks straight every day at lunch until the teachers finally got fed up and banned the whole cafeteria from talking

Wet food is the best food for cats because they don’t drink a lot of water! It helps keep them hydrated. But dry good is good for different reasons. You could do wet food once a day and dry food the rest of the time or something!

get an automatic feeder for the cats, it distributes smaller amounts of food throughout the day without leaving food out. they may overeat otherwise and cats like eating multiple times a day

omg i have SO much to say lol. first, i live in scottsdale and I’m giggling thinking about you doing bachelorette here cause it’s such a hotspot and i wish i could’ve given you recommendations!!! i cannot wait to hear about your time. second, leaving out the food is definitely going to help a ton, wet food can be a treat. they’re kittens so as long as you don’t feed them the human food they should grow out of that phase. when it comes to food or them doing something you don’t want, a firm “NO” and even hiss at them at little (lol), they’ll learn. i use hills science diet and so does my bf for his cat. both our vets have recommended it :)

came here to comment about the cats! def wet food like ppl are saying! dry food is full of grains and other stuff that's not great - a brand I heard that's good is tiki. Also going grain free w them might help w the hunger / getting a high quality cat food bc hunger is sometimes linked to the food not having enough nutrition ❣
i have a automatic feeder from amazon that feeds my kitty portions throughout the day! you can set the feeder to play a voice memo too. it helps a lot. what i’ve noticed is my cat likes to eat bits at a time versus morning/night
Wet food is best for kittens as a source of hydration! I'd suggest wet good twice a day and a dry food snack. Free feeding increases risk of obesity in kitttiess

Just wanted to leave a comment make sure to give them their wet food because cats tend to not drink enough water for their diet. Also they say use a loud noise. We used a spray bottle, and that helped a ton.
My cat is super annoying about food. It's normal. I find that several little meals a day is better than only a few regular meals. But be careful, if you only do dry food they can get kidney issues from a lack of fluid. My cat is horrible at drinking so just something to keep in mind!! Also train them. Don't let them have attention when they cry over food
