- We’re back in the circle! This week, story time is extra special because we (literally) hear from you! Gather ‘round as we hear voicemails left from listeners about everything from overthinking and jealousy, to keeping things spicy in a long term relationship. I also vent about why I’m nervous to turn 29, and confess what my hair washing routine is really like as a curly girl. And no circle time is complete without an honest journal time…this time with homework!

ive been binging all the episodes! i liked the cozy comfy vibe of the bed but i’ll watch regardless!
Honestly I do miss the cosy vibe of the first few episodes, it gave a very "circle time" feel and the studio just doesn't have the same atmosphere. Maybe a backdrop or something would help. But I still love the podcast and it's the only one I watch consistently!
maybe if it needs to be recorded in the studio for whatever reason, she could do cozy blankets and pillows on the floor with the right backdrop. I think something like that would be really cool and bring a bit of that vulnerability back from the first few episodes. I love it regardless.

i like the studio, but i think it needs to be more "cozy" somehow with decorations, fun chairs, casual microphone, etc... because the original concept made it feel more comfortable especially when diving into deeper topics. Love the show Kelsey cant wait to see more.

Kelsey! Don't worry about Chili and the cats. 1. it probably isn't about the cats because all mammals I've had as pets start withdrawling a little around 3 and then they start being sweet again... I do think it's part of their aging process tbh. and 2. if it is about the cats, I promise you it's just the change and he will acclimate to the environment, its just different for him right now.

Loved this episode! Just wanted to say that trauma bonding doesn’t mean bonding with someone through trauma. It means when abused person forms and unhealthy relationship and bond with their abuser that’s really hard to get out of

Happy birthday Kelsey, I hope you have a wonderful celebration of your life! Don't focus on the number, 29 as a number itself is weird asf!!! I know aging in general is scary, but you are still so young! you've been doing things as an adult long enough, with so many huge accomplishments, girl you should be so proud of yourself! we definitely are!! love what you do and who you are.
Late to the comments here but I (also a libra) my dog and I are 2 days apart with birthdays and she turned 1 right before I turned 21. This was in 2020, so everything was shut down but my mom threw a party for both of us to celebrate with family! She rented the patio of a bar and we all covid tested and my dog just had the best time seeing her favorite people and so did I.
I love the podcast. Kels is so great at advice, i teared up a few times listening to her talk ❤

My dog Henry has just turned 4 and when he was about 3 he also went through a change where he really went in on himself and got a lot quieter. I was the same as you, so worried and hoping that he loves me still. He’s 4 now and he’s similar but much better, I think it’s just a developmental thing and it just means they’re settled and growing up x

I don't want to alarm you because this might not be it - but in my experience, my dogs would alienate themselves in a room like that when they were sick and/or stressed out. Maybe Chili is just stressed by the new change in the house with the cats, but he will acclimate to it soon.

Don’t worry about Chili, my pup is 5 years old and he goes through angsty phases all the time where he wants to be on his own but then he always comes back when he needs his mom :)
