- How GOOD Was JJ Redick, Actually?
If you've been following the American sports media lately, you’d have noticed JJ Redick’s meteoric rise to prominence. His insightful analysis and player-first perspectives on First Take and other platforms have been refreshing for NBA fans. The fact that he gets his point across without having to shout like some of his colleagues makes it even better. And if you’re wondering how he's able to do this, it’s because JJ knows his basketball. I mean, you wouldn't expect any less from a guy who retired as a 15-year veteran and one of the most efficient shooting guards of his generation. For context, throughout his time in the league, JJ averaged 44.7 percent shooting from the field and 41.5 percent from downtown.

some casuals over here XD, JJ had a decent career, he wasn't going to be a superstar, but HE knew his role. His best seasons were with the 76ers with him averaging 18 for them.
You good youd good .... 👍🏾is not a BIG Player BUT he do the RIGHT job for the NBA court, but you right only in 76ers like you say 🤜🏾
You got me, nice clickbait. Here I was hoping for a video about him being a decent-good roleplayer in his career. I got a video about the absolutely nobody who thinks he was an Allstar.
Bro out here saying that there are people who thought he was an All-Star. Bro was a good player he played his role and there's nothing wrong with that. It's funny how this guy is saying JJ was bad when he was averaging 15 ppg on a Clippers team that were contenders and 18 ppg for a Sixers team that were also contenders. Just because he never had any individual accolades doesn't mean he's bad. He also has the Team success by going 14 straight seasons of making it to the playoffs and 1 Finals appearance. Calling that a bad career is wild to me.
Modern players must be a little bit envious of these kinds of days where you could play four years in college and be an absolute king on campus. It's just impossible not to go straight to the league asap now because of all the money on the table but hearing JJ's stories about being the big man at Duke, it sounded like a great time.
In college he was on a star level. In the NBA, he started as a role player and became a good piece to a team, I would term it, to a low end all star player, even though he was not an official all-star. He became a solid scorer for half his career.
Playing 15 years for contender teams with a decent playing time is success. Being an analyse is not about always being right but about making sense.
He was a role player known for being a shooter. He open the paint by getting buckets from far away. That’s it. Nobody thought he was starting after his first year.
Nobody said he was an all-star or an nba great
Redick is my all time favorite Duke player and NBA Player! Go Duke!
And aside from the comments o don’t understand just saying the truth about him being a role player the whole video … nobody is coming out and saying jj is an all time great just because he’s on tv people don’t feel that way about most nba media that played aside from shaq … so what exactly is your point this video just to tell people who haven’t watched an ounce of basketball who jj was ? Your target demographic would be “ people who know nothing about basketball but still watch it enough to see my video in the algorithm “ ?
Wait... jj redick retired? Back in 2021?!
Who are you talking to? No one thinks JJ was an all star. Weird narrative.
are u mj fan? XD
He was the modern day plumber and fireman. Bonafide scrub.
Okay MJ let’s see you try to replicate his career
Plumber level
Not very
Korver has a better career than him. And yet he talks like his kobe. 😂😂
Top 15 all time, along side Lebron James.
Awful take dude. Nobody thought he was in All Star or NBA great. He did have incredible career though. 14 years of being a consistently positive player with good efficiencies. He was good just cause you’re not. All Star doesn’t mean you can’t be a good player. Also the fact that you kept on saying point card means you don’t know nothing lol
Jesus Christ loves you
All the while, I thought he was a benchwarmer before. So he look for a job somewhere else as an analyst, which I think, he has a knowledge gap on the game of basketball that he needs to work on it.❤
Dude. He's a scrub.
You mean how bad?
He was dog water
What a joke of a video.
