The concept of your commentators and the idea you've got got me chuckling cuz I've been wondering all of 'em at the same timw while watching the trailer, yet the thing is, I'm more fascinated to see all ur reaction came to the same but different conclusions. This movie was like Inception and other weird movies out there. Intriguing haha

Finally, an old-school Hollywood thriller. No superpowers, no monsters, no cinematic universes. Just a well-made film with a beginning and an end. How refreshing.
It literally has superpowers, in the form of hypnotizing strangers to do your will. We also don't know if it's well-made yet, but hopefully will be.

Even in his most sensationalist films where the concepts are over-the-top, he doesn't push the viewer to be a mere "it-is-what-it-is" spectator.
There's a certain manoeuvre to follow for something that is hard to interpret in film. You either accept that audiences wouldn't understand it, or you try to make it digestible, not make the audiences ride along for some illogical shitshow that the filmmaker was too lazy to explain. Nolan understands this. That's why he's at the top.

Y'all no joke-- I literally saw this movie today at Regal because I got the mystery movie ticket and Hypnotic was the mystery movie of the day. I will say that it was a mind and game twister!! It keeps you hooked all the time! I did not expect many of the things that occurred in the movie-- I definitely did not expect the ending! 100% recommend!!
Same. Saw the trailer and was very lukewarm about it. Then when i saw it last night i was thoroughly entertained by it.

Nope, Nolan's vibe is totally different from this. This is more like Jumper with slightly better acting perhaps. Can't tell yet.
Are you kidding? I could understand what people were saying! Nolan doesn't believe in audibility, no matter how deliberately overcomplicated and confusing the story is. If you can understand the dialogue and if the film is straightforward and comprehensible, it's not Nolan. No Michael Caine? Not Nolan! 😸

Do you know Hypnotic? No but I know other version and it is called Genjitsu 😂. Looking forward to this film. It gave me the old-school Hollywood vibe without too much CGI and supernatural things.

Just came back from the theater. It was great but it could have been phenomenal. The idea for the movie was so dope, but i think it needed a better writer and producer. It kept me in my seat long enough to sit through the whole thing. I have walked out of a lot of movies this year so that should say a lot. It had good action, suspense and the actors were good, it just really wasn't written well. I can't say anything else other than that. Still worth the watch, but i was hoping the movie would have blown me away
I thought I was the only one walking out of movies hahaha

When I was ten years old, this was the kind of thing we were talking about to entertain ourselves. We played silly games to kill time and in 2023 it apparently cuts it as a screen play for a major Hollywood movie.
