Green Berets and Giant Bucks - AZ Strip Mule Deer with John Wayne Walding

We were blessed with an amazing opportunity this fall to help facilitate a tag transfer on the Arizona Strip to an American Hero John Wayne Walding. John's story is nothing short of amazing, and having an opportunity to give back to an American who has sacrificed so much for our great country was very humbling. Working with Outdoor Experiences 4 All (Eddy Corona), and AZ Game and Fish, the stage was set and the tag transfer was in place. The speed in which we were able to secure some funding to help facilitate this was nothing short of amazing. We would love to formally thank Tony Bender, Chad Fraughton, Doug Sayer, Josh Stapp, and Rick Scheen for their willingness to be a part of this, without their help and the Atlantis Foundation none of it would have been possible. We would also love to thank the Hincha family who wanted to do something amazing with this dream tag and reached out to us to help, as well as Derek Martinez (Backcountry Predator Films) who dropped everything to film and edit this video. Last but not least would be Davey Matthews and his team for ensuring that the end result was nothing short of incredible. We are grateful to have each of you as friends. First if all, JW we cant thank you enough for your sacrifices for our country. Most of us will never understand your hardships. Can your give a rough idea of the score of that buck. The reason I ask is that I always seem to underestimate a Strip or Kaibab buck. I think their head size is what always throws me off! That buck is so beautiful! Congratulations!
