How to dowel a 3 tiered cake!

Feeling quite groggy but I'm back to show you how to dowel a tiered cake- very important if you want to make sure that it stands up okay!

Thanks for sharing Claire, I've found bubble tea straws to make the best dowels, (the big wide straws for milkshakes and things). Think Amazon or eBay sell them xx

Hi, did you use a central dowel for your cake? Are they just for transport purposes? And don't you need to use one if your setting it up at the venue. Thank you x

Hey, I didn’t on this one no as I set it up at the venue so it was not necessary. Easier for the customer to de assemble and slice! 😊x

Do you not do a central dowel all the way through?

If assembling on site where the cake is to be served no not always, if it is being transported stacked then yes

I think it was a 12” but they are cut down to size anyway, I hope that helps!
